Behavior: Zaji is extremely strict. Never willing to tolerate cowards or those with false-loyalties. He has been known to follow his training to the letter and never allows anything to compromise a mission. Even if it is his own allies.
Personality: Deceptive, reserved and overly serious. Zaji is like most stereotypical ninja archetypes only it's just an outer shell of a personality. On those few rare occasions where the man actually let's down his guard he can be seen as friendly and quite funny but his history has left most people un-trusting enough so that they won't try to get close in the first place.

Detailed Biography:
Born Kaito Ishikawa in the Land of Lightning, Kaito was born to a common family and was the first among his family-line to become a Ninja. Kaito became a Ninja in Kumogakura where he served for several years in various assignments. One such assignment was the assault on a fortress that sat at the border between the Land of Lightning and the Land of Fire. Later Kaito would serve in an assignment that saw the death of all of his allies during the mission. The mission was still completed but an investigation performed later however led to Kaito supposedly killing his comrades on purpose. When confronted about these events, Kaito simply gave his response that the mission held priority above all else. A series of events soon saw Kaito smuggled into the Land of Fire and away from pursuing former-allies. Kaito would later appear in Konohagakure as Zaji Kanikomaru and worked his way quickly through the ranks of the Konoha Ninja thanks to his prior training as a Kumo Ninja. During his time as a Ninja in Konoha, Zaji would gain the same reputation as an untrustworthy ally due to his strict-adherence to the completion of a mission. One such mission saw the loss of his right eye. Regardless of his relationship with his fellow Ninja the higher ups saw fit to assign him as the assistant to Rikujin Katsurou the acting Hokage of current day Konoha.

Special Properties: Zaji's Kusarigama has been modified so that the sickle can carry a small vial of oil. Which can be released in a small spray over the sickle's blade for use alongside Zaji's Fire Release Techniques.
Weapon Location: The chains of the Kusarigama are interwoven into his right-arm gauntlet so that it doesn't come lose. As such the sickle and weight are held on the right side of his waist unless in use.
