The day had gone and night was sweeping over the city. A chill wind blew through the alleyways, whistling in empty windows as it went. Down one of these many alleyways stood a figure. This figure was stood still as it gazed up at the sky watching the moon as it rose. Surely this night would be as dull and lifeless as the last. Shifting the creature started to move. The light gleaming off his fur as he exposed himself when shifting between alleys. If he hurried fast enough the wolf could make it to his typical spot before the moon had fully risen.
Ludolf panted slightly as he scampered through the city to it's outskirts and beyond. He skid to a stop once he'd reached his destination. It was a cliff that over looked a bit of a better part of the town. Quickly his eyes scanned below watching as faes hurried to make it home before full dark. When not so many were out, he turned his attention back to the sky. The moon had risen to just the right spot. Taking a stance, the male wolf threw his head back and howled. He did this every night and every night he received no answer. Maybe though, tonight would be different.
