Hello all!

This forum is all about recruiting characters into their appropriate Corps.
Below you will find each lantern corp, and some info on them. Note, not all of them are finished, but will be soon. If you have any information you would like to add to them, let me know. If you want to learn more about a specific Corp, you can visit comicvine.com and enter the corp to look it up. Or, wikipedia works just as well...

There will probably be pictures attatched to the newly recruited in their new uniforms once I'm able to get around to them. Along with a possible fanfiction or role play at some later point in time. Recruiting comes first.

What you need to do if you'd like to see a character in one of the corps, is state what emotions / color the character exhibits most (all of them), a bit of their background, and a preferred Corp. Just because you'd like them to be in one corp, doesn't mean they'll get into it. The character's emotions shall be judged as well as thier background and what they exhibit in the actual Role Play.


You may also notice some odd things as you look through the corps. The multi-placed characters are subject to change, and are simply placed in the Corp they are best suited for at the moment. The gray lanterns, are new entirely. ^_^


The Gray Lanterns

That's right, the Gray Lanterns.

Some characters are good, but don't really fit one Corp or the other. That is, they don't show much emotion to be qualified for any of them.
So, C.C. has made his own Lantern Corps, the Gray Lanterns. This is for individuals with great potential, but even greater neutralism.

He needs a quote when a ring recruits members, and he needs an oath. But he's lazy and would rather see what all you come up with.
I'll have a poll of some kind up and running for that when I get the time to.




Hybrid, Switch, or One.

You'll notice that some characters are in one catagory, but have other colors attatched to them. These characters are excellent candidates for more than one Corp. As cool as it would be for them to be hybrids, that's not necessarily a good idea. They could switch from one corp to another as needed, but that might not work for some characters either.

So, when I get the chance, I'm going to have another poll up and let you all decide what you think would be appropriate for these characters.

Blackstone ---- Yellow, Green, or Red
Alcina ---- Violet or Indigo
Sapphire Spider ---- Violet, white, black, or Indigo
Alex ---- red or green
Arachnis ----red or green
Gossamer ---- red, yellow, or black
Edel --- orange or red
Gold Star ---- orange or red
Rosie ---- indigo, violet, or blue
Terragon (Balancer) ----- gray, black, white, or blue
Ninja Twins ----- gray or orange

SINESTRO CORPS

Emotion: Fear Color: Yellow

Notable members are those who have the ability to cause great fear in others. They are commonly sadistic, horrific, and psychotic. All are enemies of the Green Lanters. Sinestro, Kryb, Quintet, Scarecrow, are members and excellent examples.

RED LANTERNS

Emotion: Rage Color: Red

Atrocitus uses his Red Lanterns as mad dogs against the targets of his rage. Upon induction into the Red Lantern Corps, a Lantern's blood is expelled and replaced with a napalm-like plasma, which can be projected by the Lantern through their mouth. As long as there is anger present, the red fire burns, even in the vacuum of space. Because red is on the farther edges of the emotional spectrum, Red Lanterns are unable to think clearly or be reasoned with. They rarely speak and often attack without distinction.

BLUE LANTERNS

Emotion: Hope Color: Blue

Although there are but a handful of Blue Lanterns, their ranks consist of some of the most holy and righteous beings in the universe. The blue ring creates constructs that soothe its target based on that target's hopes. Blue Lanterns are also able to de-age dying suns into young, vibrant blue stars that shine in the night sky as a symbol for all to see. The blue ring charges a green ring and de-charges a yellow. Without a Green Lantern in close vicinity, a Blue Lantern's ring will only allow limited flight.

BLACK LANTERNS

Emotion: Death Color: Black

If a Black Lantern bites a living victim, that victim then becomes infected with a mysterious virus. The victim then seemingly becomes psychically linked to the Black Lantern who bit them and can see emotions as represented by the color spectrum just like full-fledged Black Lanterns. Most Black Lanterns are those who are already deceased.

GRAY LANTERNS

Emotion: Neutral Color: Gray

Having trouble placing selected individuals in any of the emotional spectrums for their outstanding mellow or neutral nature, it was decided that a new lantern corps must be made to include these possibly outstanding individuals. (Plus, C.C. jumped at the chance to be head honcho at something this big and willingly put his little powers to work to make such a thing as Gray Lanterns happen)
Gray Lanterns are very neutral in action, as well as emotion. They can be on one side of the line just as quickly as the other. Rather than sit back and watch, they are willing to jump right into things and help both sides if it suits their needs.
