Give me some background.: Chise survived a horrible incident ten years ago. A Zex Federation pilot had destroyed her neighborhood killing her parents, and older sister, but she miraculously survived.
She was left in the care of a foster family, but tragedy struck when Chise was ten years old. She was diagnosed with an illness that was slowly eating at her body making it weaker and weaker with each passing day. It was incurable, but with the help of strong medicines she is able to slow down it's progress.
On her twelfth birthday her foster family was killed by a Teijoro pilot. At this point and time Chise's ability to walk was deteriorating. At that time no one wanted to take the sickly girl into their home so she was left in the hands of the government. Three months later she was the one chosen to be the pilot of PROJECT LYNK. She was the only human who had a one-hundred percent match rate with the mecha. Swearing to get revenge she became apart of the war.
They keep getting younger and younger.: Fourteen

Mech's weapon loadout?: This mecha is linked directly to Chise's consciousness making them like one person. It can create a beam of pure power in it's left arm, and shoot it. On it's right arm it has a sword like blade attached to it. On first glance this doesn't look like much, but the model also has a pair of wings that allow it to fly and hover at fast rates. It's known for zipping around to confuse the enemy.
The downside is the model has a chance of going berserk.
Anything else? Chise lives in the hospital connected to military headquarters. She is in a single room all by herself, and practically never has visitors. On days when she's feeling better she can attend school, but there everyone avoids her.
Also.. Chise can't walk so she gets around by wheelchair. She's expected to lose her sight by next year.
