It was a strange thing, waking up that is. He sat up groggily shaking his head, where was he? Looking around, it appeared to be some sort of forest. His hands were poking the ground curiously, it was worse than a hotel bed. He wrinkled his nose as he discovered this, “Even the forests have cheap beds.” He said in a flat joking tone looking around.

He didn’t like this place; it didn’t matter if it was a nice place. He blinked and discovered the forest was black... but then it wasn’t again. He wrinkled his nose confused, still sitting down watching and listening for the first sign of possible danger, which never came.

He stood up trying to figure out where he wanted to head now. However, which way do you really go when you don’t know where to go? He looked around carefully, debating. Towards the water or towards the music, which way would be better?

There was a noise near his foot; he lofted his brow looking down. Sitting at his foot was a small animal, he looked around, it wasn’t there before. He shook his head and looked again. “HI!”

Azzo walked backwards quickly stumbling and ended up sitting down on his rear looking at the small fuzzy... Bunny? He blinked and fffff, he scooted back more, it looked like some crazy mutated youma. “Ahhhh!!”

Then it was normal again, “The ********... you can talk!?”

He swore it smiled, “Of course silly!”

Azzo’s eye twitched. “How can you talk!?”

The bunny shrugged, “I’m your hallucination.”

Azzo blinked again backing up each time. He shook his head, “I... how are you my hallucination!?”

The bunny hopped around, “Look bub, I don’t make the rules. Now then which way are we going?”

Azzo’s mouth set agape, “We?”

The bunny nodded, “Yes we.” It climbed on Azzo’s lap, “I say we follow the river.”

Azzo’s eyes narrowed, “No. Not we. I.” Azzo said as he got up looking around he didn’t want to go to the river if the rabbit was going there. “Yeah you go to the river, have fun.” He headed off the other way, however he glanced back. He should’ve never looked back.

He sighed, “STOP, don’t follow me. Go your own way!”

The bunny seemed to pout, it’s ears went down and eyes grew large. “AWWW but we’re buddies!!”

Azzo’s eyes narrowed, as the bunny pouted “Pwease?”

Azzo sighed. “Fine.”

The rabbit sat up on it’s hind legs. “UP!”

Azzo stared at it, and sighed picking it up, and it struggled until he let it sit on his head, “You better not...”

“Oh no no no no!!! I’ll behave!” assured the fluffy little creature with a grin, which almost looked evil. “Now! To the river!!”

Azzo’s eyes rolled as he sighed, “Fine, to the river.” He headed off that way, he kept repeating, I’m not crazy, I’m not crazy, I’m not crazy… over and over in his head. As he walked along, with the little rabbit shouting random instructions, why was he even listening to this thing!?

“If this ends up being a dead end, we’re going the way I want to.” He said throwing it in the rabbit’s face, meaning that if they didn’t get to the river soon he’d change course.
