Focus was something that usually, Ellial lacked. So it was no surprise that as he walked the land with his winged companion, that his mind missed things. He didn't noticed the ground that had been softened by rain, or glittering of the dew that covered the bright green grass. Nor did he notice the cheerful singing of the birds or the scent of summer in the air.

What he did notice though, was how soft the clouds looked as they slowly tracked across the bright blue sky. His cyan gaze following their path with a bottomless patience.

Today would be no ordinary day, he was certain of that. He only hoped that his companion would be able to handle what may lay in the near future.

Emiko nommed happily by her mountainside home. The grasses were moist with dew, quenching her thirst as it sated her hunger. At that moment all was right with the world. The birds sung above her, the sun shone down on her back with the perfect amount of light, heating her in the most delicious way, and the grass was wonderfully sweet. She was so happy, in fact, that she hummed to herself, shaking her rump lightly to the tune. The only way the day could be better would be if she had her mate, Tequila, and her best friend, Ellial at her side. Yes, to have her two greatest loves at her side would make her positively buoyant!
