Maia frowned moving quickly down the alley. She had no idea how she managed to find her way into this part of town and now she was horribly lost. She was tired and frustrated and this lead to her worst senshi patrol ever. It was truly pathetic.
Another dead end, 'gahhh, why can't I find my way.' Maia turned around looking up at the sky irritation rolling off of her in waves. She sighed lightly, rubbing her hand down her face, pulling at her features.
Click, click, click, she headed off back down the alley, fist balled, a tired determination falling over her. She was going to find her way back home.

The night had been atypically... uneventful so far. Or as uneventful as a star seed gathering mission went; it'd gone smoothly, and he'd recovered a pair of seeds. Enough that he could have gone back to his apartment and retired for the night. Despite the vague notion, he'd wrinkled his nose at the idea; he didn't wish to return to his dark, empty apartment just yet.
There were other places he'd undoubtedly would have rather been at, like a certain someone's house, but he really couldn't muster up a random excuse at that moment in time. So thus, out of unwillingness to go back to his apartment and face solitude, he'd remain out.
He had stationed himself at the roof of a low building, looking down upon a a random alley as he pondered the night away. Imagine his surprise when a eccentrically clad girl happened to walk down bellow him; after observing her for a few moments, he swiftly decided the girl in question was a senshi, and heavily considered simply... letting her go. He was done collecting seeds for the night and he was feeling mildly apathetic, which was probably going to be counter productive for fighting.
However, when the girl reached the end of the alley, fussed, turned around and began to walk towards where she'd come from, Rhodizite decided the situation was just too good to let it pass. That and he wanted to see the girl's reaction when he dropped down from his perch.
That in mind, he allowed himself to drop the small distance that seperated the top of the building from the ground, landing just a few steps in front of the girl, probably startling her, "And here I thought the night would be uneventful. Silly me," he murmured as he moved the chain he was lightly holding with one hand, "So, you are?"

Maia wasn't really paying enough attention to where she was going. She had the feeling she was really and truly headed in the wrong direction. She had probably traveled down with alleyway already. She turned to head back the other way when someone dropped down from the sky in front of her.
"Ahhhh," she shouted stumbling back and nearly tripping over a piece of garbage.
"What is the matter with you? Do you not know that jumping from roves is dangerous," she shouted a bit irritated with the person before her. She hardly noticed that he was a negaverser at first, until her racing heart start to slow.
"Why should I tell you who I am? Who are you," she asked wondering if he would answer her question and on top of that if she should be giving them boy the attitude she was currently giving him. Though she couldn't help it, she was very irritated that he scared her and on top of that could feel the rage she had for the negaverse building.

Rhodizite watched as the girl stumbled backwards, nearly falling down. Had she really tripped, it'd have made his job tons easier; what a pity, "Mmmm?" he redirected his thoughts back onto what she was saying, arching a brow at her, apparently bemused, "Usually that's how it goes. You call out your name and your war cry... I tell you mine, and then I kill you. I thought it was normal procedure," he lifted the chain he'd been carrying in one hand, almost as if to indicate that yes, he happened to be a Negaverse agent and he actually felt sort of weird about attacking a Senshi that seemed to have no idea about how things worked.
Well, it was either that, or she thought she was strong enough she could beat him without breaking into a sweat (which might have been a possibility the Lieutenant would have considered had she... not walked into the dead-ended alley all on her own).
"You seem to be new at this, so I'll throw you a bone," he paused for a moment and regarded her carefully, "If you're not, no offense meant," and with that, his gaze changed; he glowered at her, his stance changing into an offensive one, "I'm Rhodizite, and I'll make sure your bones shatter," that said, he finally moved forth, aiming his chain like a whip, targeting her legs.

Lily gave him a look that said 'you're demented'. She was a senshi and yes she had a battle cry, but she barely used it. Truly she thought it sounded idiotic and well she did not really she the point.
Lily sent him a death glare at the words he spoke to her, it was intense and really if looks could kill, he'd probably have exploded. Yes, she was new and no she did not have much battle experience, but that did not mean she was going to adhere to the rules people kept spewing at her.
"Trust me, when I say that there is absolutely no way you will kill me. If you think you will, then you are very misguided."
His words continued her to anger her, she was really and truly seeming red. 'Bones shatter,' she thought questioningly he flung a wipe at her. Maia reflexes were quick, and she leapt to the side to avoid the chain. She bow fluttered behind her and the movement very much resembled a ballerina leaping on stage.
Landing she glared at the boy, fist balled, posture very stiff. If she did not calm down soon, she would not avoid the next blow. "I still refuse to tell you who I am. That rule is truly ridiculous," she growled, " aside from that attacking someone is hardly the way to obtain their name."

"We shall see," he didn't sound half as angry as she sounded; in fact, if anything, the Lieutenant sounded as if he were calmly talking about the weather. He honestly had no idea what he'd done to rile her up so much (after all, he'd yet to physically harm her - though he was in the process of rectifying this), but he figured to each their own.
While his initial attack did not hit, his eyes never left her form, and as she moved to the side, so did he. Even as he moved, he worked on retrieving the chain with a yank and then aimed a punch at her gut; honestly, at this point, he'd have rather she stop talking, "In all honesty, I'm not terribly concerned with your name. You're going to die either way."
Had he been watching the scene, instead of participating in it, he'd have taken the time to appreciate the way the girl seemed to be rebelling against what he considered to be the 'rules' of the game, alas, there was no time to do so, "I suggest you shut up and start moving, girl."

Maia tried to to dodge the chained wipe aimed at her gut, but she was a bit to slow and winced as the wipe caught her side sending her stumbling instead of a graceful landing.
"Urgg," she groaned out as she righted herself. That wipe really hurt and the pain really helped to set her to rights. She finally seemed to realize she was in a battle and her life really was at stake. She faced Rhodizite ready for whatever he sent at her next. She was fast and if he was simply going to keep trying to wipe her she would be able to dodge, at least she hoped she would.
"You shut up," she growled, "you will never take me life I will never allow it."
She moved jumping around in quick, precise, movements. She needed to get behind him. She need time to start her attack. If she did not get behind him to would be a bit hard, but she would attack none the less, she had to.

"Dully noted," he drawled out, as he watched her. He'd stopped moving, apparently having decided that his earlier strategy would not be as efficient as he'd hoped. As far as he could tell, the girl was very fast on her feet, making it hard for long range attacks to impact. However, he'd noticed the fact that when his earlier strike had managed to hit her, it'd made her stumble. Which meant that while she was fast... she apparently wasn't too strong.
He usually tried to avoid direct hand-to-hand combat, much more comfortable with his chain, but it seemed that in this case he was going to have to actually chase her and pin her, or restrain her from a very short distance. Idly, he found himself wondering if the girl would hold her own in a physical fight like that, however he simply shrugged the notion and decided he would soon enough find out.
However, the fact she was... jumping around him so swiftly (and inefficiently, he decided; what the hell was she going to accomplish by doing that?) was making it hard for him to decide which way to move to close the distance. Mildly frustrated, he stood his ground and simply watched her as she jumped around, "You are honestly beginning to annoy me, girl. If you really wish to keep your life, I suggest you start doing more than just jumping around like flea. You look ridiculous," he was hoping that the taunt would distress her enough to miss a step; if she did, he'd catch it and try to close the distance between them, "I do not have all night."

Maia was now focused even if she was still angry, therefore she ignored the dribble falling from the boys mouth. She was almost there and apparently he had not yet realized what she was trying to do. He stood still and this was to her advantage. Leap, leap, leap and she was finally behind her. She stopped on a dime knowing she had to move quickly, he was definitely going to turn around.
"Sweet Harmony," she called allowing the notes to come to her and the truly beautiful music to coming gently flowing from her mouth. The music notes formed around her floating around her before they began to rush at the boy.
She prayed that the attack hit him, because otherwise she would being hopping about to avoid his attacks. If the attack him, she move in and attempt to fight him up close and personal.

In one quick movement, the girl slipped behind him faster than he could follow with his head. It was at that moment that she called out her attack and Rhodizite noticed (with a mild amount of irony) that he no longer really needed the senshi's name. Given the attack's name and the way the notes came towards him, he figured this was either the senshi of songs, music, or something related.
He avoided the first two notes, glaring slightly at the girl as he swatted them away with the bone and chain. However, there came more and soon enough a couple slipped past his defenses and finally struck him. He did not notice the effects immediately, but soon enough he found himself growing sluggish; his movements slowed down, almost as if he were moving in slow-mo and he felt himself almost, but not quite, at the brink of sleep.
It was a strange sensation. He felt almost as if he were asleep; his heart rate had slowed and his breathing had deepened. Due to the sluggishness of his body on a whole, it took him a few moments to understand what the attack had done to him. Regardless of the effects, he did finally turn to offer her a glare; he could still use this in his advantage. If this was all her attack did, and given the fact the girl hadn't seemed particularly strong (at least physically) earlier, he just needed her to draw nearer. If he could draw her nearer due to a false sense of security, endure some hits and then strike out as soon as the effects of the notes vanished... he'd have her where he wanted.
Rhodizite thus, stood still, his glare softened and he simply watched her through hooded eyes. The ball was in her court, he was just wondering what she planned on doing with it.

Maia smiled as she finished her short song, noticing that he could not avoid all of her notes and they had indeed him. The effects were instantaneous and Maia ran up to him a quickly as she could. He was glaring, but she did not care, as soon as she was upon him she jumped and kicked him aiming for his gut. The boy most likely would not be able to dogde and she aimed to knock him off his feet.
It was true as far as upper body strength was concerned she was average, but she had been and dancing and ice skating since she was very young and so her legs and feet were the strongest things on her. She hadn't had many battle, but she had figured out that once she attacked she had a one minute to get physical before she would have to back off and attempt to use her magical attack once more.
She knew she needed to damage him otherwise it would be very hard for her to win. She wanted to win. She wanted the negaverse to pay for what they had done to the aliens. She wanted them all to pay. Her anger and frustration we're rising, which would be to her disadvantage, she did not want to be blinded by fury. 'Calm down,' she thought to herself.

If there was one upside on the effect the attack was having on him, it was the fact it was somehow keeping him extremely calm, which was in turn, allowing him to process thoughts and figure out a plan to counter her with.
The kick to the gut hit him square, and he stumbled back, but did not fall down, managing to keep his balance even if he'd been winded. His movements were still sluggish, but he slowly managed to bring the arm he was using to hold his chain, to cup his gut. He was using his free hand to judge the velocity of his movements, flexing his fingers and fisting his hand in rhythmic motions, trying to figure out how much the lingering effect of the notes would last.
He was taking damage (there was no way he couldn't, what with the fact he could barely move), but he seemed to be enduring it, as if it had a purpose. It was only after a small while that he noticed the fact his flexing fingers were starting to respond like he'd expected them to normally, and he flashed the girl a dangerous smile. That was all the warning he offered her before his free hand shot forth, aiming to grab her by the wrist, the other hand, still holding the chain, shooting forth at the same time in an attempt to whip the chain around her other arm.
He was sure that if she dodged one movement, she wouldn't be able to dodge the other, "Got you," he mouthed softly.

Maia frowned having misjudged the amount of time she had before her attack began to wear off. He had her arm and then suddenly there was the chain wrapped around her other arm. Maia's eyes went wide, frowning at being so close to her attacker. The only thing she could think of was escape and she figured the only way she would be able to do that was to hurt him.
Her breath was hitched and she was close to panic, so she did the only thing she could think off. She jumped up and pushed both her legs out as hard as she could once again aiming for the boy's stomach. "Let go," she shouted. She wasn't to sure if it would free her, but maybe, he'd be forced to let her go.
She go flying, if he let go, but she did not care. She would scramble to her feet and move out of the way as fast as she could.

The fact she was still resisting him was not uncommon, or new. However, with each struggle... with each tug, the chain around her wrist tightened, the metal biting into her flesh. It would probably leave behind a nasty mark, and if she yanked, it might even bite down hard enough to draw blood.
He wasn't exactly sure what he'd been expecting, but it surely was not the way she jumped, trying to aim a kick at him. He did let go of her hand in order to aim an elbow at her face while giving the chain a forceful yank. The downside was that her kick connected with his gut (yet again) and it made him woozy enough that he took several steps away from her; the force also propelled her away from him.
The fact he'd been winded made his grip on the chain loosen, one end still wrapped around her wrist, the other now out of hand. While he hadn't looked particularly angry at the start of the battle, he was now looking more than slightly peeved (which might've had to do with the fact the girl kept insisting on kicking him in the stomach - it bloody well hurt!).
His eyes were swiftly on the end of the chain though, and he made a dive for it, even if his stomach protested the movement rather wildly. He really, really did not want this girl to take the opportunity to escape.

"Ahhh," she shouted as his elbow caught the side of her face before she launched her off his gut. Not only that her wrist was now throbbing from the chain which had tightened around her wrist.
She'd gone flying away from the boy and landed with a thud on her back, the chain clanking against the ground beside her. It was cold and heavy, red blood, Maia's blood running over the links. She rolled quickly onto her stomach and jumped to her feet, but her movement were slower due to the chain wrapped around her wrist. She nearly tripped on it, trying to face the boy once more.
She turned just to see him dive for the chain and jumped back. There was no way she was going to allow him to catch it while it was still attached to her arm. She jumped to the side as quickly as she could trying to avoid the boy and focusing on freeing her wrist. She jiggled it only trying to loosening it slightly, so it would fall off once it dropped she really did not care if he did not get the stupid thing back. It hurt so much, she just wanted if off, she was quite certain her wrist was sprained.
