Ok, lets talk about the direction this guild is going in. My thoughts were this:
1)People don't have to be a guild member to have their tank posted here, but in most cases it will be encouraged.
2)Guild members do not have to be exclusively of the booty grabbers persuasion. Eventually most that are not will probably be turned, but hey - what are friends for, right?
I still want to remain picky about members. I don't talk to just any old riff raff and I don't want them in this guild. I also would like to avoid this guild getting the rep of it being "ghetto". We aren't wannabe's here - those that aren't a part are the wannabe's. LMAO Ya'll know I was born a snob, right? Good. So this leads me to #3....
3)PLEASE do not just send out invites willy nilly - lets talk about who we want to invite and why before the decision is made to actually send the invite. Mules, of course, are the exception. You don't have to tell the world who your mules are, but at least let your captain know, k? LoL
4)Also, lets talk about join requests here before we just add them. Again, those requests need to be somewhat literate. I mean, first impressions are huge - I can talk slang all day, but the first time I meet someone I at least try to speak the Queens English. I ask the same of those who request to join. If they cant do it, I'm not sure they will fit here.
We need to work on invite wording. Anyone with any ideas, please feel free to post here! And please, lets each start a list of potential guild invites and tank invites, and please say either Guild Invite or Tank Invite beside each name so we know which we are considering. Oh, and hey - if someone is suggest as just a tank invite but someone else feels the person should be considered for full membership - please speak up. If you are on my crew, you have a voice! Doesn't mean I will be swayed to your ideas, but I will at least listen. LMAO

I went thru with the massacre this morning. You will note there are some members left - ones that are near and dear to our hearts. I may be sending a little note to each of those asking nicely if they would like to stay, but for now the hard cuts are done.
So, now we need to get on with the expansion. and invite wording for each type of invite. I would like some ideas on both of these from my fearless crew. Please???!!!!!

by the Mutual Admiration Society!
We like to get more booty in a single day then most people get in a lifetime!
Besides who doesn't like having their booty admired by as many people as possible.

we have a pending request with NO REASON why they would like to be here. do we politely inquire why? or do we just decline. also do we use our judgments or do we have to vote on pending requests?
oh tigs mules are crayons of chaos, which i have been using a lot so can i promote her to crew?

yes i see we cut a lot. hm i think they were never in to the guild much anyway.
i think Thousand Leaves might be fun, he is a roses member and a non BG.
void ab initio and she will probably want her mule for BG, she is a big BG but she is also half way across the world. she is cool and maybe the cultural thing will be good.
i think we should invite maeve of the sea.
we might be more happy to be getting update on Taran and maeve world than roses.

Ok, about the join request - I tried to decline with a polite note saying we like people who can reason, but they had already recinded their request to join - so I think we are stuck with that damn request haunting us for the life of the guild now. Blah.

Tigs, I know you like to spend a fair amount of time as Crayons, so go ahead. Personally, I only want one of my accounts on as crew, and if I have guild business that is the account I will be working with. You may also note that I have put this account on invisible - thats cuz basically all I will be doing with this account now is guild business.
@ Tigs comment on Dolphin tanks: LMAO Now you see why I want it organized by tank type! wink We will have some dolphin tanks for those who still insist that they rock, but placed specifically so that they can be grabbed when one wants to. Believe me there are plenty of other things out there...
Ok, so about membership and just plain tanks. I am going to start 2 new threads in here: POTENTIAL MEMBERS and I WANT THAT TANK. Post your thoughts/requests/ideas in those and we can get busy on the requests.
As for the just tank invites - I love Dearg's wording, but because they wont be members, we will need to send them the link(s) they need to post in and be sure to mention that we will be sending invites to mules individually (we do this to insure that things get posted where we want them).

well i am still thinking about crayons as crew, lol. it just seems that i want to check this forum when i am on that account. it also seems that once i am on an account i stay unless i am grabbing.
i think the invisible thing is probably good.
i can not believe people have not figured out that dolphins are just gimmicks.
sure if i had a super amount of gold and another mule i might make a dolphin tank just cause they are popular.

 I always went under the assumption that the dolphins still around was bought unknowingly/bought before the nerf and the poor gaian is caught by the evil of gaia's (morally) lower side. *cough*conspirationtheoriesIhave*cough* Sorry for not joining in and helping with finding potential tanks and members, up until now I haven't paid much attention to which people do what in the aquarium forum except the really famous ones like Absol ^^;

I get the whole tired/hot thing, so not a thing. Yeah MASC would have been cool! They don't do clans in gaia anymore do they? I thought the organized version stopped a while back.

Clans are still going, but it's difficult to have any use of them. I'm member of Daughters of Gaia, but I only roam the public thread in the zomg forum and the event subforum - sometimes I beg for experienced crew members too when I need to beat a difficult boss ^^; Which reminds me - I have a subforum of my own to set up!

i think we should change the invite so it is more social based. we have BG and the fate of BG is shaky right now. everyone is free to go through are lovely pages in that forum but i think to get the guild more active having some social fun will be good. also when you want to grab some tanks we have a good variety.
