"....And she said to the other girl; that's not my heart, that's lipstick!" Zane laughed to himself as he walked down the street at twilight. The main street of this city was beautiful for walking, and twilight was a good time to get fish or other foods like it. His short tail waved as he weaved in and out of people, listening to their voices and cooing over him. Zane knew he was a beautiful boy. There was absolutely no denying that. Red eyes blinked when a car's headlights hit him dead on and he whined, stopped and sat down on his rump.
"Humans are so inconsiderate!" White, thin hair blew in the chilled spring breeze as he spoke, causing the albino to shiver a tad and get a move on once more. Maybe he could find something in an alley. ....Or something.

Patch strolled along the sidewalk, hands in the pockets of his jeans, eyes downcast. His ruby-red hair gleamed in the darkening twilight and although he knew he should be heading home, he just couldn't get his feet to move in that direction. It wasn't like he didn't want to go home; he loved his girlfriend-lover-mate -- but he just felt like he needed to walk. She'd been getting into fights and it unnerved him. She was a strong girl; she could take care of herself. Yet... He worried. And it wasn't like him to worry.
Looking up, he caught sight of a white manx, ears pulling back for a moment before he smiled. "Hello there," came his voice, springing forwards with a smooth-satiny feel to it. A comforting feel, he hoped.

A voice came to his ears; a nice manly voice and Zane grinned darkly. Those red eyes turned to look in Patch's direction and a smooth smile tugged to his little lips. Yes, he might be a kid, but he knew how to flirt with both men and women. Nothing would stop him; age or sexual preference be damned! "Hello there!" He answered in, what he hoped, was a sultry voice. Knowing how his voice sounded, it was just an awkward kid trying to be an adult voice.
"Why do you look like you're dying?" He asked, indicating the furrowed brows on Patch's face and the way those lips were pulled thin over his teeth. Oh, yes. Zane knew how to read people.

Patch stared at him for a moment, trying to figure out what he meant. Dying? He glanced down over himself, looking for a wound before it clicked in that, duh! he meant emotionally. Patch had to give a soft laugh. "Oh. That." He shook his head. "Girl troubles. Seems my ladyfriend can't keep from picking fights with all the other Freecollars around here. Not that she can't stand up for herself... She can. It's just..." He let loose a sigh. "I dunno. I just dunno. I'm Patch, by the way. Where are you headed?"

Oh, was that it? Zane snorted at his troubles and put his hands on his little hips. Younger than Patch though he was, he knew a thing or two.. He liked to think. "Look here, ..Patch," a pause because he just got the name, "If your girlfriend can take care of herself and hasn't nearly died because of fighting, I say let her be. I know guys think they always gotta protect girls... But let me tell you. Girls should be saving us. They are always stronger than we think they are. I mean.... right? They suffer through child birth with no real big complaints.. So what's a bit of scaring, bruising and blood loss to 'em?"
The white male grinned at Patch and flicked his stubby tail. "And I'm not really headed anywhere. Just kind of out and about. The name is Zane."
