Post tips or tricks on making cosplays that you find useful and think others might find useful too

here are some I find useful :

Can't find a pattern you need on a certain fabric like, maybe different sized shapes or something. Then try buying or making stencils and using fabric paint to get the pattern you want on the fabric.

You may want to change the topic to 'Cosplay Tips', to be a bit specific and just in case someone else post up another 'Tips' for say conventions.

Tip: Keep in mind about weight of your costume when making it. It may become your downfall later when you are walking around. So use craft foam or something light.

Okay, when binding first take a few weeks BEFORE the convention to find out what would be the perfect amount for you.
Take deep and even breathes and don't put too much physical strain on yourself when you are crossplaying.
Always have someone with you, just in case you pass out or need to take a break.
If you can avoid binding, do so! Or you'll end up doing the unnecessary, which will come back to haunt you!
