Woot, just killed it with rathalos armor and the barbarian sword, it was fun. Anyone else find the lava surf move practically un-dodgeable without diving?

i pull the same thing with him that i do the lagiacrus, and especially the gobul- charge attack with the lance, into the shoulder or side and you'll drop his health like it's nothing. the only reason it takes any time at all is because of the lava armor...
i dodge that lava surf move accidentally most of the time; he attacks where you're going, so just stop.

He's pretty fun to kill, I've done it several times lookin' for those claws. If by "Lava Surf", you mean the thing he does when he goes underground and tries to run you down with his fin, i haven't had a hard time dodging that, I either roll or dive...
