A Touhou MMO game. Here are some Raw ideas for the ideal that never will exist.

Name of Game: Touhou Project. Broken Barrier Calamity.

Story: Despite the name. The Barrier is still there but The Hakurei Shrine has an opening to the outside world. Thinking it's Yukari's Doing, Reimu tries to find her but she was nowhere in Gensokyo. Neither is she on the other side. Creatures not native to Gensokyo and Monsters from other realms began to roam around. So with Yukari's absent and creatures invading Gensokyo, Reimu warned all about the recent problem to all she knew. Word spread through the realm fast and with the aid of the Underworld, The Human village and the Scarlet Devil Mansion, they begun to train the residents and outsiders to protect the realm till the Barrier is repaired. (it's an idea so not a good story)

Classes: Magician, Swordsman/woman, Priest/Priestess, and the made up Gunner.

Magician: Well yeah. Magic and s**t. only one healing skill
Swordsman: Melee type. Also considered the Tank.
Priest: more Healing Skills with a nice set of damage skills.
Gunner: Uses Bows and Crossbows for weapons. Gives supportive moves.

Races: Human, Youkai (well half Youkai), Oni, Outsider.
Outsiders are Humans who start at Reimu's shrine instead of the village. They have more melee Strength than the Humans in Gensokyo.

Humans= All classes.
Half-Youkai= Swordsman, Magician, Gunner.
Oni= Magician, Swordsman, Gunner.
Outsider=Swordsman, Gunner, Priest.

Stats:
Main points:
Strength.
Agility.
Stamina.
Intellect.
Spirit.
Sub-Points:
Spell Strength (Magician, priest)
Psychical Strength (Swordsman, Gunner)

Item Slots:
Weapon: (Swords, Wands, Brooms, Bow, Crossbow, Talismans, Orbs)
Head:
Chest:
Legs:
Feet:
Gloves:
Two Rings:
Neck:
Back: (can be a cape or anything that can go on the back)
Magical Enhanced Relic. AKA MER:

Item quality.
White: No stats. Beginner items.
green: Some stats.
Blue: Green with more stats and sub stats.
Orange: Blue with better stats, sub stats and extra stats.
Pink: Highest level item. (why pink? well Cherry Blossoms. And purple felt odd to do.)

Example of items:
Kappa Bag of more Pockets
Back. Increases Inventory by 10 slots. 25 Stamina, 15 Spirit.

Bow of Lunarians.
Bow. Increases Psychical Damage by 45. 44+ Agility, 32+ Stamina. Use: Casts a lesser version of "Curse of the Heavens "Apollo 13" " in a target area. 10 yard radius. (10 Minute Cooldown)
NOTE: You don't kill Eirin but it's a series of quests for a Gunner.
Stating with meeting Tewi at the forest to bring you through the bamboo to Eirin.

And now:
Spell Cards.
You gain Spell cards like loot BUT the catch is, they are harder to get depending on the level of power.
Green: Easiest to find. No connection to exiting cards.
Blue: Lesser versions of famous spell cards or new ones.
Red: New cards and the most powerful you can get.
Since you can have a Max of four Cards in your Bomb slot.
Green Takes up one slot.
Blue Take up two if it's a lesser version of a famous card.
Red can take from two to three.
And the downtime for the bombs range from five minutes to an hour! so set them up wisely.

Add more ideas if you wish and remember.
I don't care if its a bad idea or good, as this idea would never see the light of day.

maybe. Who knows. There could be someone in Gaia who could find this and use it. well i would love to see what else i should add.

I do love the Keystone.
And if the two you have are a set, i would add a third and give it an additional effect with all 3 on the same character to make the players aim for them.
But the third item could be a drop from a boss like it was stolen.

Creature.
Name: (element) Golem.
Type: Elemental.
The different elements range from common to boss-like.
Common: Earth, Water, Fire, Ice.
Boss-like: Diamond (example).

Boss. (not including damage and attacks. This is a rough sketch)
Name: Diamond Golem
Level: xx (a variation of ?? in wow)
Health: 3,000,000 HP.
Example of a possible item drop.
Diamon Shard (a sword with Tank stats)

Hmmm....give 'im a life's supply of 6 kinds of beer and then he'd be not just on board with the idea, he'd become a member of the dev team!
Y'know what I mean?

Also, I figure that the third item could be a Secret Item, only obtainable through the same quest, but only if you've done a Hidden Sidequest and obtained a certain other Item.
Namely, a Peach Seed(Used to craft the Celestial Ring).
Naturally, Toyohime will be involved in an extensively long Fetch Quest to get the Peach Seed item.
Can't be a good MMO without a few of those right?

yep. and if i am right. Wow still has 3 hidden quest to date that are still undiscovered.

There could be PVP but only if it is called "Danmaku Grounds" Which are remote Areas for PVP. A red Team and Blue Team type of battle and it is different. one minute your friend is on the same team, the next he is on the blue and you are red. Like that.

PVE is hard to think about as they are story related.

And to clear up what a Gunner is, Think of a Bard but give him a bow/crossbow that can use different arrows (like a chill arrow, Poison Arrow or even Danmaku ball)
Buffs can either increase damage, heal over a certain duration, increase speed, ect.

Yes, I remember SWR. Skauya using dagger slashes, Komachi Coin tosses, even Youmu's sword all work well. Hell Ibuki PUNCHES foes!

Those fights are in a set "rule", in actual touhou combat (IE: EoSD, MoF, hell, even PoFV), any human without danmaku would be screwed, unless they can run at 4-year-old-on-suger speeds and atataatatatatattatata like the fist of the north star.

Unless they tone danmaku down to a reasonable MMORPG point, then it might work, although you couldn't quite call it danmaku anymore.
