Welcome to the Graduation Event Thread!


It's been a long time coming, but let me give you a rundown of this thread, and this Event!

Current Agenda/Announcements:
mm- 7/1: Thread for zOMG! Forum Created
mm- 7/1: From 7/1 to 7/15 is what time you have to sign up. We'll be starting on that weekend. Please either pm the guild mule, Lost and Found zOMG mule, or post in this thread to sign up.
mm- 7/6: Updated the rundown post a bit
mm- 7/14: Updated the rundown post by quite a bit (you'll want to read it over again) and extended the sign-ups due date. Instead of tomorrow, it has been extended to the 23rd.

Rundown!


Times have been tough for those of us who hide in the shadows, we who constantly snicker as people pass us by, the ones who dart back and forth while we breathe quietly under tree branches and building walls.

Once the sign-ups are over, we'll assign each person on the list a random number in order to determine who'll be in what crew through Gaia's random number generator (this is only for the people who want to join and are willing to be placed in a random crew).

Game Plan
After the sign-ups due date (July 23rd), we'll be starting on that weekend. You'll be given a week from the day the event starts to do your run (which usually takes thirty minutes or so, depending on the crew). On Saturday, July 31, we will be meeting up again in order to award the prizes to the crews. Everyone is welcome to join in on that meet-up as we will be playing a game or two after wards. If you are one of the many crews participating in the event, please pm the guild mule, Lost and Found zOMG mule, about your meet-up time. You'll be timed during the run. The top three teams with the fastest run time will be awarded prizes.

For those of you who have already signed up, you'll be assigned a crew and are eligible to do the run already. Don't forget to donate the fee once you're done!

Once you get your crew, you can pm each other and decide on when you'd like to the do run. This is to make up to the people who already signed up since we had to extend the sign-up date. You have from the moment you get your crew list to the 29th to do your run. We'll be meeting up on the 31st to assign the prizes.

Why has it been tough?
Well, honestly, we haven't had much time to actually have any nice-sized events. Our energy, prizes, and fun has all been built up and now we bring you the Super-Rare-Awesome-Chocolatey-Fudge-Coated-Mega-Super Event! =D

What's going on exactly?
We're bringing Lost and Found, and even the rest of zOMG Forum Games, and even our own special brand of fun inside of Gaia's MMO, zOMG! Whether you're coloring pictures, searching for friends and foes alike, or even just chatting away, we hope to have everyone enjoying this great time!

Who all's going to be there?
Who're you going to bring? This event is for users of both GaiaOnline, and zOMG! It's run, supported, and experienced by everyday players, and we can't wait to let even more people get in on the fun!

With the Summer coming upon us, we have heat, free-time, and a great Event coming to you all!

When will the event be?
It'll be roughly two weeks from now. We only have one main event and depending on how many people sign up for the event, we may take a week or more just to get everyone through their runs.

If we're not within the guild, what do we do in order to sign up?
You may either post in this thread about signing up or pm our guild mule, Lost and Found zOMG mule, it. This shall act as something similar to the zOMG! Olympics

How long is it going to be for and what are we doing?
The event lasts all week.
Crew Events *during the week* take from between 30 minutes to an hour or so, depending on the Crew's amount of free time.
Events include playing games of Hide and Seek, one or two Boss levels, and Protecting a lower-level User.

How many people should we have in a crew?
Crews must be formed with at least THREE (3) members, but may go up to Five. If you do not have a crew yet, we will assign you one. You get to choose your own crew title (yay!)

What "event" is it that you're talking about?
We've planned to have one main event. It'll be a run around zOMG, just like z!Olympics. Only you'll be escorting our mule beginning from Village Greens to Gold Beach. It'll be similar to the Otami Ruins quest where you escort Mika but it'll be all around zOMG.

What day/server/other will this be on?
For now, we're asking that everyone sign up. We'll pm the crew and ask them what time and day they're available to do the run. Once the time nears, either the crew itself or us will pm them what server it is that we'll be doing it on. You have until the 23rd of this month to sign up.

Who do we donate the fee to?
You'll be donating it to Lost and Found zOMG mule, our guild mule. Once you're assigned to a team, you can split the amount fee between yourselves and combine it to meet the 8k requirement. You're always welcome to donate more than needed. wink The more gold we have, the bigger the prizes at the end of the event. We might be giving away extra prizes for the crews who didn't win the event since not many are doing the activities portion of the event.

What level do we need to be at? Can we use buffs?
You'll be escorting our mule (this one) through zOMG, starting from Village Greens and ending at Gold Beach. In this case, it's best to be a CL 10 but it isn't necessary to be at that level. You may find it difficult to get through the run if you haven't cleared zOMG entirely. Yes, you are allowed to use buffs (to my knowledge at least).

Rules and Guidelines!


Follow ALL Guild Rules and Guidelines.

All Games will have a set of Rules, which will either be located within this thread, or within the Games Subforum

All Contests will have their own set of Rules, located wherever the Contest takes place.

All prizes will be received after the event, and you can see in this thread who has won each prize.
All prizes are already available, so all prizes should be given out within ONE WEEK of the Event's finish, if not before.

If any rules or procedures are not followed to the letter, there may be a warning, delay, or even punishment.
Do not test the rules at all.
You have been warned.

What we're all going to do!
Please note that there are plenty of games to play and events to take in, and hopefully more than enough chances to participate!

~There are a Variety of Events~
Group Events: These events are the ones that the Crews will take place in. Most of these events will be scheduled prior to the actual Main Event, and scores will be given out to help decide the placements for the Main Event.
Solo Events: These events are for Members to partake in individually, either in the Threads during the week of the event, or during the Main Event.
Thread Contests: These are Contests dedicated to all you forum lurkers! Anyone can win these prizes, and they're all quite easy to pull off.

Shiny things that can be won from the events!
Please note that there are a variety of prizes to be won, and hopefully each one will be special!

There are Three Different Prize Types
Group Prizes:
These are Gold prizes that are split among the groups EVENLY amongst their members so there's no squabbling.
Can ONLY be won by participating in the Group Events.
All Crew Members will be required to put in a small Entrance fee of 8K (8,000 Gold) and this will all go to the Guild, Prizes, and Upkeep.
Solo Prizes:
These are often item prizes that can be won in ONLY Solo Events.
These are won by winning games or completing certain Tasks.
Merit Prizes:
These prizes are all won through different 'Less Obvious' Prizes.
They can be MVP, Who Did What, or simply prizes that can be won at certain Judge's Discretion.
These can also be won in the Forums during different Events.

Current Offerings

Group

First Place Crew Gets 50% of the Pot
Second Place Crew Gets 15% of the Pot
Third Place Crew Gets 10% of the Pot
Since Crew Prizes are determined by the amount of players & crews, this prize selection may vary, so Percentages have been put in place

Solo
Most of these prizes may be found in the Forum Games.
More items will be released here as they become available.


Merit
These prizes will not be revealed, or at least their circumstances, until they become available.



PS: If anyone would like to offer prizes, anything is loved. Preferably something we can give away though XD
All Trades should be sent to the Guild Mule with the Title 'Main Event Prizes'

Lost and Found zOMG Mule
Hey guys! This is the official list of teams for the event so far. Please pm each other and tell me what time will be the best time for you to do your run. You can name your own team too C: Don't forget the 8k minimum entry fee! Please send a trade for it to THIS mule. This is also the one who you will be escorting. You have until the 29th to do your run. Please keep in mind that most of the moderators for the event have EST timezone. Try to not schedule it so late in their time.

Guidelines pertaining to Crews:
→Crews must be formed with at least THREE (3) members, but may go up to Five.

xxxxx↘This guarantees that all crews pay nearly the same amount
xxxxx↘This keeps all games are fair
xxxxx↘This helps the Moderators of Lost & Found operate all games and threads in an easy and workable way.
xxxxx↘Crews with Five members MUST make one of their members an Alternate.

→All Crews MUST pay 8k (8,000) gold prior to participating in the Crew-Specific Games.
xxxxx↘This Gold is easy to obtain, regain, and can even help you earn more Gold!
xxxxx↘This gold is used for prizes (70%) and also used for future prizes for the Lost & Found zOMG! Guild.
xxxxx↘None of the Guild is used for the Personal Gain of ANY of the staff at Lost and Found zOMG!
xxxxx↘All remaining Gold is used for the upkeep of the Guild and to help provide for more prizes for Members and Participants.

→The Winning Crews will receive their Prize Gold according to their Final Standing at the End of the Event.
xxxxx↘Amount of Prize Gold available is DEPENDENT on the Amount of Crews that participate/pay the Entrance Fee.

These guidelines may be updated as the Guild sees fit, but will not change drastically.
