He was irritated, shaken. He couldn't vent to Scheelite... because Scheelite was the problem. Telling him to ******** off... telling HIM to do anything.
He stormed back and forth as he dialed the number for Lina aka Audrey, punching his thumbs into the phone buttons with aggression he normally never showed this way. He just felt... tied. How could he enact one of his revenges on SCHEELITE of all people. He just couldn't accept this... surely he was not so... so helpless.

Luckily for Zink, Audrey was not all that busy when her cell phone lit up, and she lunged for it as the Imperial March sounded. She'd set all her Negaverse contacts in her phone to that tone, it was one that could not and would not be ignored! Her headset was pulled off, but her fingers kept at the keyboard as her WoW character fought fiercely through Wintergrasp. They were going to lose anyway, but she hated giving up!
A quick glance down made her smile, and it didn't dim as she flipped her hair out of the way to wedge the phone in against her shoulder. "Number One, what's the sitch?" Alright, so she'd been watching Kim Possible. She wouldn't tell if he didn't.

"Stitch?" He blinked and then shook it off, count on him to loose quite a lot of pop culture references even with Demy as his room mate and S.O.
"It... May I... may I come over and talk captain?" He asked sounded as wound as the spring in one of those little 'walking' toys now found in kiosks at the front of Borders Books.
"I just..." He shook his head again and sighed as though she could see what he was doing not just talking on the phone.
"Need to talk..." He almost apologized too, not at all like him.

There was some light swearing, the sound of plastic hitting the desk with a bang, and Z could probably even hear her keyboard tray being slammed back into its rails all the way. "Sorry, lost the damn battleground. And it's sitch, not Stitch. You know, situation? Not a little blue alien from Hawaii or wherever he came from. I haven't seen that one." Audrey only ever watched Princess movies. It was something else that she would never, ever, let anyone know about her. Aree was catching on, but Audrey was doing a good job at hiding it.
Her smile dimmed a bit and she tapped her fingers on her desk. "Is this a Captain thing, or an Audrey thing? You're welcome here, but not in your ah, uniform." Her voice stressed that she did not even remotely mean his Hillworth garb. "If that's a problem, I can come out and meet you anywhere you need me." The tension in his voice concerned her, hopefully he hadn't done anything stupid. Really, she couldn't handle too much more stupid right now.

"...both?" he said with a forlorn note. "It's not...me, well its not DIRECTLY me... It just...He...Oh GOD he pisses me off sometimes." He said and devolved into a moments cursing of his own.
He pinched the bridge of his nose in an attempt to calm himself again and took a deep breath. "I can treat for doughnuts if that makes this less... irritating." He offered which was the closest he'd come to apologizing yet.

Nodding, Audrey looked out the window and contemplated. "Wanna grab coffee and doughnuts then go off somewhere and talk in uniform? I know a place that is pretty deserted, no people so no patrolling pests." They'd taken one senshi, but she wasn't entirely confident in them taking another one, especially if Zinkenite was so strung out.
Already, trying to maneuver around the cellular phone, she was stripping out of her pajamas and into something a tad more publically appropriate. To Audrey, this was her For the Horde zip-up hoodie and a pair of jeans that probably should have been washed three days ago. After all, she didn't anticipate being in them long. Just long enough to get away from home, so that nobody could see that Linarite lived in a small suburban house.
"I'm already going out the window, so just lemme know." Flipping the lock on her door quietly, Audrey padded to her window and threw her shoes down into the lawn, trying to hop into the tree one-handed. It was lucky that she was practiced at this, wasn't it?

That sounds -perfect- he admitted with a sigh. "I'll meet you in-front of that place with the cinnamon buns?" he offered "Or do you prefer somewhere else?"
He was already heading out too, aiming vaguely in the direction of his suggested destination and fighting a headache.

"Absolutely done. I am going to come out of there fat and it will be all your fault and you can explain it to Ursula why I can't work anymore." Her tone was teasing and she laughed softly, hopping to the ground and sliding her feet into the sturdy thong flip-flops that had become a part of her wardrobe. They were great for sneaking out of the house because they didn't make much of a sound when hitting the ground, and were easily discarded if she needed to run. Very practical indeed!
It didn't take long to hustle over to Shufflepuck's, and she was already downing one of the cinnamon rolls outside in the slowly cooling May evening. She loved this cusp of spring and summer, where the nights were still mildly cool and the days warm and full of sunshine. She was going to start with the tan early this year, in the fall she had new people to impress up at the university! Audrey was licking her fingers and daydreaming, just waiting outside when Z started approaching.

"A few rounds chasing Scheelite will burn the cinnamon rolls -right- off" he assured her before he too hung up to make his way to the Shufflepuck. He waved to her as he approached before stuffing his hands back into the pockets of his oversized hoodie. Not that most weren't large on him, but this one was distinctly a size too large, like someone still hoped he might grow into it.
"I apologize..." He said as he finally stopped in front of her. "I just... I'm used to him LISTENING to me and he..." He shook his head too frustrated to continue.
"Should we get out of here?"

Amber eyes narrowed and she wiped the last of the icing off of her fingers and tossed both takeout container and swilled the last of her latte before tossing it too. "This doesn't sound like a lovers' spat. Want to go up and over?" Really, she didn't care what he wanted, for as soon as Audrey Collins got behind the shadowed alleyway dumpster behind the cafe, Linarite emerged and glanced back towards Zac.
"Coming, Lieutenant?" There was a smile, a graceful twist, and the captain was on top of the nearest building next to the cafe. Her arms reached up towards the sky in a stretch and she smiled almost to herself. "It's a great night for this, you'll feel better when I show you were we're going to talk." Castor'd given her the perfect place for two Negaversers to meet subtly. He wouldn't come anywhere near, she was confident, and if nothing else she could remember one nice thing about the place.

He hurried to follow her with a blush staining his cheeks, god... lover's spat? really?? They weren't -that- obvious were they? Oh god were they!?
A deep breath and he let himself shift into uniform to follow her. He had to put a little more effort into getting where she had gone so effortlessly, he really needed to practice and he kept putting it off.
"Where -are- we going?" He asked as he followed her, tilting his head curious as he glanced around for familiar land marks, the roof tops had their own, he'd been documenting them for a sort of roof top map, even flagging where he'd seen senshi make frequent patrols, he'd have to turn that over to her some time.
"I'm failing you as your 2nd..." he added with honest and deeply rooted shame that he could not sway Scheelite.

Being tiny, both Linarite and Zinkenite generally had the speed advantage over their taller and thicker brethren. Lina took advantage of this often and practiced almost religiously, darting from roof to roof and avoiding the obstacles there. When the Captain really got going, very few things could stop or catch her - only senshi attacks and those in her speed class, to name them. For a few quiet minutes, she simply let the wind stream through her sapphire curls and only paused when they reached the more broken warehouse part of town.
Zinkenite caught up, and she smiled at him before reaching a hand out to grasp his shoulder and shake lightly. "You're still alive, and unless you're about to tell me Scheelite is dead, there's no real failure that can't be overcome. You've got a lot of promise, Number One. I intend to make you live up to it." It was probably a bit affectionate for the Captain to be saying such a thing, but there was nobody here to listen. Besides, if he repeated it, she could always shove him in a locker somewhere. Z was compact like that.
"Come on, not much farther." Indeed, from here she could already see the wall that she'd smacked, falling to her tragic doom. They landed in the exact spot Castor had carried her to, and a white-gloved hand pointed to the city spread out below them. "Look. Isn't it nice? I found this sorta by accident, and I've never seen a senshi out here yet." Minus one. Then her smile was pulled back, and her shoulders straightened. Linarite the compatriot had been replaced by Zinkenite's Captain, and she took her duties seriously. "Now Lieutenant, report. What's so urgent?"

a deep breath to steady himself. He hadn't admitted to her that he was experimenting with the minds of senshi, playing on doubts gaining information... he'd have to start there.
"F...irst... I should admit that I've been trying to gather more information on the Senshi, in the grounds that we are... slightly crippled by not knowing, I've ah... done some significant research into Virgo with Scheelite's help, and... I was -trying- to... experiment with ... doubts, get them to answer... questions... I've mapped out a few 'frequently used' routes, Virgo in particular." He said waiting for her reaction to that before he continued... he needed to make sure he had no room to be 'black balled' however unintentional it might be...

As someone who enjoyed the pursuit of knowledge and agreed that the little information they had on the current senshi was indeed hindering, Linarite was proud. As someone who had given specific orders, who had gotten specific orders, she couldn't help but be displeased. "I commend your initiative and intellect with this quite clever idea, however I wish you'd informed me sooner. Experiments are always meant to be overseen by those more experienced, even in a school setting." Janice Fitzpatrick might have even been proud of her in that moment. Lina didn't reserve hope for the General-King.
She would have questioned further, but he said 'first'. That meant that there was more to his story, and he was getting things out of the way. If there was a list, things were not going to go well. This made the Captain's hackles rise, and her tone was a bit sharper as she spoke. "We'll review this more later, continue." If he told her that his identity was outed, she'd kill him herself. That sort of failure would be disastrous to her!

He winced, wrankled but clearly pushing it away, he was not accustomed to chains of command and he knew it. "Scheelite has elected to have a... Nemisis...." He said sounding -deeply- frustrated.
"He's elected a LOT of things actually, but...this one I consider the most dangerous, He doesn't stop to think about anyone else and he will NOT listen to me when I tell him to retreat. She's broken his ribs at least once... on the other hand she also dragged him out of my cousin's HOUSE when he..."
He faltered realizing that she might not know what had 'gone down' with the mistaken identities, his shoulders sagging. "I didn't...condone...what happened with the house...I had no idea until he came back..."
