In the Beginning....there was EGG. Then...CRACK! Indecisive Dragon who finally said...

Alurel, Your Pumuth does not like thinking games when he is hungry. Come feed me?

Name: Pumuth
Colour: Blue
Personality: If draconic con men existed, Pumuth would be their preferred patsy. He is one of the kindest dragons you will ever meet, quick with a joke (never at anyone's expense, of course) or a kind word when someone's feeling down, and he's always up for making a new friend. The friends he does make he often retains, as long as they're the ones who bother to keep in touch. If Pumuth is the one expected to maintain relations, however, he does a pretty poor job of it. It's not that he doesn't want to stay friends, it's just so much work!

As you can probably guess, Pumuth is adverse to activities that overly tax his brain. He's not lazy in a physical sense and will gladly participate in flying practice or join in an impromptu game of tag, it's strategy and deep thought that aren't his thing. His aversion to critical thinking is the main reason why he's so trusting and so willing to take life at face value. Trying to deduce whether or not others have your best interests at heart is just too time consuming. Pumuth is nearly incapable of holding a grudge, choosing to brush off any pranking and jokes made at his expense as fun and games. He is understandably not without feelings though, and will secretly be hurt by overly malicious behavior and mean jokes. The only time he will fail to blindly accept practical joking and teasing is when the jibes involve His. Anyone who chooses to wrong his human will get... a stern talking-to. Pumuth really is no good at outright dislike, but he'll try his best for his rider. He might not defend His unless it's absolutely necessary, but he will be the first to stand by them and provide a large shoulder to cry on when they've been wronged.

As a hatchling, Pumuth will be a bundle of affable, good-natured fun. Eat a pile of bugs? Sure! Roll around in that patch of thorns 'cause it'll make me smarter? I'm game! I smell? W...well maybe I do! Later in life, he will likely be great with children, content to sit motionless for long stretches while they pet and climb him. When a green rises in his vicinity, he'll give chase, why not? Sadly, Mr. Underachiever probably won't catch another dragon unless there are special circumstances involved.

All in all, Pumuth is a good dragon to have as a friend and bond. He's fun, doesn't think too highly of himself, and is protective of His, but not to the point of suffocation. He rarely gets angry and never has a bad word to say about anyone. Or maybe he just can't be bothered to think of one.

Why ME!?
Pumuth is truly an individual without guile. He’s the sort of person you can rely on to be the shoulder to cry on, that quiet support, without any reservations. This blue is a gentle soul and only a gentle soul match his. Alurel proved to be the one that gave Pumuth his reason for being.

This dragon doesn’t like to think, you see, and Alurel has his own direction. However, Pumuth will act despite his disinterest in thinking and that combined with Alurel’s thorough decision making could produce a potent combination. They are a pairing of potential, of brain and brawn. Alurel might not like bullies but that’s okay, neither does Pumuth. They might get pushed around from time to time because of this aversion to conflict but never fear the blue will pull through in a pinch… and then be there to fall back on after.

Alurel presents a learning opportunity for Pumuth – if he can get his dragon to have more self direction, Pumuth might excel in more than physical activities. That said, Pumuth’s tendency to act and not think could help balance out Alurel’s watchful consideration of situations. After all, you can’t just float around and think while Thread’s falling!

They might seem opposites at first but they balance each other quite nicely and with a little direction, or a little more intuition they might become highly respectable wingmen.
