If she had to go out with someone else to ensure her well-being, then fine. Libra would go on patrol with a fellow Zodiac until she recovered from...whatever she was suffering from. There must be a reason she was kept losing her battles, an she was certain it couldn't be her opponents were that much better than her. (Because, quite frankly, they were not. It just wasn't conceivable.) And until she unearthed the rationale behind her failure...no, not failure. Setbacks. And until she unearthed the rationale behind her setbacks, Libra was going to have to bring someone along on patrol with her.
Except it could not be Aries, god help her if the Captain knew the trouble she'd gotten herself into lately, it could not be Aquarius, she'd need more than god to help her if her rival found out about the results of her more recent battles, and she'd rather not go out on patrol with Gemini again. It was like mixing oil and water. And then, of course, there was Laocoon, her caped crusaders, stealing battles out from underneath her and insisting she need rescuing. (Honestly, none of those battles were actually as bad as it seemed. She was never in that much harm. Really.)
No, today she had asked Scorpio to join her. She didn't know the other Zodiac well at all, but Libra was fairly certain this patrol couldn't be possibly as trying as the others she'd been on recently. Perched vigilantly on top of the subway station, the blond sighed and glanced around. She was still ten minutes early; there was no use expecting Scorpio just yet. Gemini Beta had said it herself, timeliness meant nothing to anyone, anymore.

Fortunately enough for Libra, timeliness did mean something to Scorpio. More or less anyhow; she just would very much rather not make people around her mad (which she often time managed to do despite her desire not to), so getting to place on time was crucial. She was currently walking along the sidewalk, her hand clutching what might have looked like a normal pocket watch that hung around her neck, which she'd taken to carrying around when she patrolled, more out of need to know the time so she could get back home without her parents suspecting than anything else, "Mmmmm..." she was frowning at the hands as they ticked, glancing up every now and again, "I think we might be a tad early. What do you think, Fluffy?"
There came absolutely no answer to her query whatsoever, however, the shadows to the side shifted, and it soon became apparent that the Zodiac was not alone; she was accompanied by a large, red eyed hound. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to recognize her voice, or even pay attention to her. Not that it deterred the girl from talking to it as if it were sentient, "You're a horrible conversation partner," she told the hound, whom still paid absolutely no mind, it's head raised in the air, sniffing viciously left and right, but it'd not yet caught any scents. Which was strange, as far as Scorpio was concerned, for she was pretty used to there being quite a few youma around, and lately... their numbers seemed to be multiplying.
As the dark haired girl lifted her gaze with the watch, her gaze settled on Libra, just a small way away, and she quickened her pace to reach her side, "Apparently, you're early too, so I guess that's fine," giving the watch one last look, she slipped the clock inside her uniform and tilted her head, "You look... upset," blunt was her specialty after all. No sooner did she speak that the large hound emerged from the shadows to the side and joined the two zodiacs, still sniffing and looking around, growling every now and again, "What did you have in mind; is there something specific you require my presence for?"

Fascinating.
Libra turned her gaze to eye Scorpio, fairly certain she didn't look any different than she usually did. (Which might be serious, stiff, irritated, surrounded by idiots, and of the following would do.) "I am fine," the blond replied, a hint of hesitation flavoring her voice, still perplexed why the Senshi of Mystery would even inquire after her physical or mental well-being. She fell into silence as a large dog hauled itself out of the shadows by Scorpio's sides, and only then did the blond look mildly satisfied.
"I require your presence for that," Libra replied, pointing towards the growling mutt. "Obviously, you are the only one with the ability to actually find members of the Negaverse. I think it would be a much more practical battle if we took the fight to them, instead of waiting in a dark ally to be jumped. It would allow us the choice of battle ground, for one thing." The blond put a hand on her hip and watched her fellow Senshi. Clearly Libra had thought a lot about this, even if the solid reason she gave wasn't the entire truth. However, the other small detail could be left out.
"Let's begin. It is rare I get to begin patrol with a partner on time." She glanced at Scorpio's dog. "How does it work?"

Scorpio's brows knitted together somewhat, as if not entirely buying what Libra was telling her, but she decided to let it go for the time being. After all, it was probably pretty much a lost battle, and she didn't really think they had time for such things, even if the hesitation in her partner's voice had been a clear (for her anyway) indication that she had hit the nail over the head.
Her head turned to watch the red eyed, shadowy hound whom was still sniffling the air eagerly, utterly oblivious to the conversation at hand, "What?" a pause as she made a face; while it was true that she agreed with Libra in that if they tracked down their enemy, rather than letting them come to them they had the element of surprise on their side... she wasn't entirely sure most senshi shared that mindset, "Yes, well, technically... he can not track all negaverse agents down," turning her attention back to the other zodiac, she explained things further, "From what I have been able to gather... and it's not all that much; I'm sorry, my memories are still a touch foggy," she motioned to the way the hound sniffed the air before continuing, "It can track the scent of any youma within a rather large radius from where it stands. At times, tracking down a youma means a Negaverse agent is with it, but that is not always the case. The agents are a bit trickier, since the hound can only track down those that I have previously fought, and only while they are powered up."
She'd figured there was something different about their scent when they powered down, making it impossible for the beast to catch their scents. Alas, "I get the impression there is something more to this though. Is there someone in particular you wish to track down, Libra?" that said she waved a hand a bit, as if to indicate for her partner to lead the way; she would follow, and so would the hound.
