Flash forward canned Heroes canned Law and Order canned Trauma canned 24 canned
I don't need to go on do I? You do see the pattern right? Basically, if its not a ******** reality show chances are you won't be seeing your favorite show again. After this season.
I would stick with animation but Seth can't stop being a whore and I can't stand yellow or blue people anymore.

You're scaremongering rabidly here. Based of an incorrect conclusion attained from confirmation basis. Broadcast TV in the US may have somewhat less scripted programming than in the past(it would be interesting to do a comparison), but scripted programming is far from dead(indeed there may actually be more this year than last considering that NBC has not continued with their Leno obsession).

I'm warmongering! *war cries here* I have nothing look forward too this fall and all the scripted programs that appear this fall with either be DOA or get canned by next fall. Trust me. TV as a whole is a dying source of media.

Well, I think that is more down to the fact that most TV shows are stupid and that a successful TV show is somewhat rare than that they just cancel everything(although it is probably more cutthroat now than say 30 years ago or something like that. It would be an interesting to do a comparision).
Actual TV watching might take a hit from the internet I think, but I suspect that the networks will reorganise to show programs on the internet.

Plus the rating system doesn't compensate for DVR, TIVO, and the like. People are no longer planning their whole lives around the TV shows since we have all gadgets in the world to make shows wait for us. Heroes was the number one pirated show and its always a top seller on amazon for weeks after the box sets are release. Actually, many podcast and bloggers are saying that the rating system needs to be revamp as it's becoming a real problem for networks and producers alike.

They do currently have some sort of numbers on DVR I think(seen them several times on tvbythenumbers.com). I think it is more that networks don't really pay much attention to them because the advertisers don't consider DVR watching to be adequate.
Quite possibly, it is certainly on old system(I don't know how old, but the world has changed greatly since it was introduced).

Don't forget to mention Ghost Whisperer.
I feel all helpful now, but in a sad way.
I loved Ghost Whisperer.

Huh, I heard that they somehow figured out to count DVR but it doesn't really count because people skip the ads so the ad folks are pissed by that. Yeah I believe the rating system has been around since day one but it has been revamped quite a bit. If I remember anything I learned in that one class I had...which I don't.

The past few had just gone a little too far for me. They took away pretty much all of House's redeeming qualities except for his brains. I love how they've actually made him human again. x3

Kind of like Lost, which I am glad is over now just have wait a couple years for them to make a series box set.
