Let's say that NaruSasu ends up being canon.
Well?
I was inspired to make this thread from this quote:

Funniest thing ever.
Kishimoto created a bunch of fanservice scene, providing BL hints. Yet, was he flamed? Was he hated? Did he even care? Most likely not... Because this is his second time.
So, opinions?

I personally think it would make it an even bigger series just BECAUSE it's a male targeted anime. Either that or he'd be destroyed. xd

I don't think he will. If so shouldn't he be not liked after doing the girlxgirl and boyxboy a lot of times already? Eh. Ya it's for humor I know xd And Air Gear has some gay people too but it's well liked xd So I don't think he will get destroyed.

Well, the thing is that he technically WOULD, because its shounen and just because it's so huge it would cause ridiculous amounts of controversy...I mean can you even imagine what 4Kids would have to do with it...so Kishimoto's basically made it as canon as he possibly can without actually going out and having them confess their love for each other, and made Sakura Naruto's beard. blaugh
Eh, what can you do. I love the series either way, I'm personally impressed we've gotten as much boldfaced canon out of it as we have. He wasn't exactly subtle with that necklace chapter cover or Naruto's "Because we're friends!!" XD ...He got enough s**t from Narutoforums out of that as it was. And flowers, too, of course. <3

I dont think he would be ruined at all.
Yea he probably gets a few complaints but there are to many people that love the manga/anime too much to really care if there ends up BL in it. I personally think that if he just a bit more cannon rating would skyrocket.
Like maybe persay sasuke and naruto lets something more than botherly love slip xD
But he could never be ruined for it. Naruto is too popular.

I'm not saying it would ruin the series, but there's no way it wouldn't cause controversy...I mean, can you just imagine what the anime forum would be like...or the people on Youtube...or the people ANYWHERE, actually xP Yes, yaoi fangirls do make up a significant portion of the anime fandom, but they still don't overwhelm the homophobic portion...>>; The current amount of NaruSasu canon in the series right now (extremely obvious subtext) is just the right amount to make it clear to readers without actually spelling out the exact words. However, if it became official...most people are not open-minded enough to accept it. I mean, 8 year-old boys watch it on TV here.
Thus why it's not going to happen. But we all already know Kishimoto doesn't like women, so xD And the sheer number of times the male characters' shirts get conveniently ripped off during battle or something...
