The (Tentative) Plot It’s liable to change as we progress, of course.
It’s Chandra’s B-day party so she’s having a gathering with anyone she meets, and everyone is getting to know one another.

Meanwhile Kimi, Xanti and any hrmm....not so nice soq run into each other a little ways off, and after their greetings are done, they catch wind of the party goers.

As they hunt the party goers (who may be able to gang up and keep them at bay/chase them off? ) Xanti accidentally starts a fire with his molten feet.

Chaos ensues!!
The Setting

The forest is humid; it has caught and held all of the mid-afternoon heat, making the day lethargic and the creatures within it weary. The boughs of the mixed coniferous and deciduous forest keep most of light at bay, yet, here and there a few sunbeams manage to creep through. There is one particular spot where the forest canopy has thinned and an abundance of light brightens the area. Knee high ferns hide the cushiony moss that covers the forest floor and the soft tinkling of running water can be heard not too far off. The sound reveals a brilliant clear river, just South of the clearing. The river sits low against its banks, cutting through the otherwise uninterrupted growth; it is littered with moss covered stones, and fish meander through the shallows. It is crispy, and ice cold, refreshing on the otherwise sultry day.

Xanti languidly stalked through the ferns, in no rush to be anywhere. His thick hide repelled much of the day’s heat but he still let his tongue hang out, further cooling down his core temperature. Although he had eaten a very tasty little hog not too long ago, he still wasn’t entirely satisfied. In fact, he was quite annoyed, although he couldn’t identify the reason.
And the more he dwelled on it, the more agitated he got.
What is this? ...Why do I feel like prey?
He shook himself off and proceeded to move forward. Yet he still couldn’t shake the feeling. It seemed that his instincts were on full alert, warning him that something was close by. Yet every time he glanced back, he didn’t spot anything out of place.
With little choice left, he did what any sensible creature would do. He stopped.
And proceeded to pop every muscle, every bone, in his entire body.
Click, click, click, click, click, click
Ahh much better.
After giving a feral grin of pleasure, Xan once more let his tongue loll out and proceeded to pick his way through the forest, trying to ignore his gut feeling.

Kimi loved the feel of being in her eagle form, her wings spread wide to help her glide and move effortless. She had had many years to hone her skills and become the viscious killer that she was, and today the bloodlust was a looming monster inside her that was demanding blood. Now.
It was a demand she was happy to fill, especially given the prey hopelessly trying to get away from her. She usually avoided Stallions simply because of her so called brother Maion, she hated failing and she had failed all too much for her liking. Yet here she was -hunting. Her razor tongue licked her beak as she started her attack, plumetting to the earth with boneshattering speed. As she approached she noticed that there was something not quiet right about the stallion before her. But it was too late.
In her mind she said, "You are mine." In reality it came out like a ear piecing animalistic scream.---------------------------------- Chandra had woke up that day with an idea, and as always when this stubborn mare made up her mind there was no gong back on it. That was how she had found herself making preparations all morning. She had gathered red berries, apples, strawberries, blackberries and even some carrots to share with her 'guests' - she just needed to find her guests now so that she could celebrate her birthday. She knew that when she returned home tonight her family would celebrate it under the light of the moon, but somehow she longed to have something that was all her own and not shared with her brother and sister. Sometimes being one of triplets was hard work.
But no, today would be her special party. Laughter and singing, food and fun. She couldn't wait. A year old already.
Wiggling happily she spread her wings and chirped before pulling them close and spinning around. She always span around when she didn't know which direction to head it, she was a big believer in the fates and knew they three ladies would set her on the path she was meant to be on every time. Sometimes that was a good thing, and sometimes it was a bad thing. She had a feeling that today would be good. Or maybe she just hoped it would be.
Landing Northeast she looked ahead, the forest that surrounded her secret little clearing opened up before her. Trees and more trees, all the shades of green that you could imagine where before her. Taking a deep breath and counting to three she jumped forward. Chandra was not a coward, she would embrace her destiny.
She looked left. She looked right. Searching for others to join in her special day.
Under her breath she started to hum the tune he had been taught to celebrate the birthday's of her fellow herd members, it was chirpy and happy just the way she felt.

Blake trotted along the winding forest path the bells at the edge of her matching blanket/scarf jangling in a pleasant way with each step. In a way that sort of made you think of a court jester being summoned to the kings throne room. Thesh-Ah plodded slightly behind her more exuberant companion. Keeping a weary bright green eye out from under her rather imposing skull mask. "Can you silence those infernal bells?"Thesh-ah said with a certain note of distaste. It wasn't so much the sound itself that annoyed her but rather the attention she knew they could draw. "Yes." Blake replied earnestly yet pointedly ignoring the implied request. Giving them a little extra jingle jangle just to rub Thesh the wrong was as she so enjoyed doing. A typical adventure for these two the yin and yang of adventurers.

It was Lex's idea to go and do something today. Canon was quite content with staying at his home but Lex thought he should go and visit new places. So here Canon was, walking towards a forest Lex had conveniently found. Lex was already in the forest alone, looking around, because Canon refused to race there with Lex. Canon was afterall, perfectly fine with taking his sweet old time walking towards a forest he didn't even care to go near. But, Lex was an old friend, his only friend actually, and Canon thought it best to go along with it.
Admittedly, it had been a long time since he left the area where his home was. It had also been months since he last saw Lex and Canon did miss his friend, though he would never admit to it. Lex continuously traveled while Canon stayed in the same place where he lived for many years already. Canon liked his home a lot, it was a field with grass and sweet smelling plants. Small animals lived there with him and it was pleasant. But it was true that no other soquili lived near him or if they did, Canon never saw them or never cared enough to notice.
Canon walked forward till he was about thirty feet away from the forest. He could walk inside of the forest but it was most likely better to wait for Lex. Canon did not know what lay in the forest and he rather liked not getting attacked. True, the forest could contain sickenly sweet, fluffy animals that were considered adorable but it could also be home to vicious, bloodthristy creatures. Yes, Canon was going to wait. After a few minutes of merely standing around, Canon decided to walk along the outside of the forest, purple eyes searching for his friend. ---------------------------------------------------------- Lex peeked out from behind a tree. Where was she? His gray eyes looked at the forest floor, but nothing was in sight. Lex shook his head, he was sure he hadn't been imagining her but then where had she disappeared off to? Lex never liked bunnies, they were rather frightful animals. But that one bunny, she refused to leave Lex be! Her name was Iva and she was definitely scary.
Well, she was no longer here, if she was really there in the first place. Lex sighed and left his hiding spot. He continued through the forest, looking for the way out. Lex looked left, right and then forward again. He turned right, continued for a few minutes when he saw a glimpse of the outside. Lex grinned and ran forward, heading towards the exit quickly. He was sure that by now, Canon would have arrived.

It was quite unusual for the young mare to venture so far from her home in the clearing, venturing all the way to the open plains where a gentle breeze blew. Away from the unusually warm forest and away from her younger siblings. She didn't remember it being quite this tiring as a youngster, but then again she didn't have any responsibilities or a care in the world then.
She slowly walked across the plains back to the forest, it would only be a short walk home after she crossed the stream. After entering the forest, she heard the usual sounds of birds, insects and the creaking of the trees in the very rare breeze. But she also heard the sound of hoofbeats not far off. She continued forward, hoping they were friendly.

The shade of the forest was pleasant though the summer noises that so often accompanied it were not necessarily considered as pleasant. Chirps and creaks were followed by an annoying buzz of bee's, fly's and other flying insects. Mixed with the natural heat of the sun beating down upon the tree tops made for a warm but relatively calm voyage. The forest teemed with life. Omutia glared about the brush near her, hidden within Squirrel Squirrel was attempting to avoid being trampled. Omutia reasoned she had good cause for trampling the pest, he'd tugged at her mane in a violent way when she'd chose to continue straight and not turn.
"EEEEP"With his battle cry unleashed Squirrel Squirrel dashed out from under the brush and scampered up Omutia's tail. With a soft nudge her nuzzled the mare neck before she could turn her head enough to n** at him.
Omutia sighed frustrated at the furry creatures antic's. It was hard to remain mad at him when he did travel with her. She stomped her hoof and snorted at him before she decided to continue her travel. Somewhere in the forest a screech akin to a scream drifted to Omutia though it sounded a good ways away. Closer though she could hear a soft jingle of bells and she was drawn to it. Her course veered to the right as she walked through the forest headed in the direction of the bells. Upon her saddle Squirrel Squirrel lay curled up his tail flicking next to her own.

The scream of a bird, a large bird from the sound of it, turned Xanti around like a bullet. And that was probably what saved him from death. Or a maiming at the least. The bird, whichever type it was, attacked so swiftly that it was hard for Xan to even make out what was threatening him. He wasn’t used to being targeted by air predators. In fact, he had never been attacked by something with wings, especially not an oversized white eagle. So it was purely luck that he startled to the side, out of creatures reach.
Xan didn’t attack it as it passed by; he didn’t have enough time to even contemplate fighting, although he probably should have. Lips pulled back in a snarl, tongue firmly shut behind bared teeth, he let out a growl of his own. It wasn’t as loud or as menacing as it could have been, but he was more relieved than angry at the moment. He would rather be assaulted then stalked, and now that he knew what was attacking him, all he could feel was relief. Now he had a target and that was the only thing that mattered.

Kimi licked her beak once more before shifting mid flight and galloping to the ground in horse form before turning to look at her prey. "You are not... normal." She said with an almost bored curiousity. She hissed and growled at him spreading her wings out in the most animalistic display of 'I am bigger than you - don't even think of attacking me'
Kimi hissed and licked her lips as she swished her wolf tail from side to side. She usually hated males, especialy when they looked bigger than her but she was bored, and bordem did terrible things to the soul.
She dragged one of her front pawed feet across the dirt, leaving four distinct claw marks behind, licking her lips and clicking her tongue in a very bird like show she watched for a moment before her ears twisted with the introduction of another sound.... there was someone, no....several somethings near by. She could hear the jingle of bells and the distant sound of humming or laughter. Interesting.
She went to turn but then remembered she was facing a stallion, a stallion that gave of a similar aura to her own, and so, clicking her tongue and licking her lips she spoke once more. "Fancy a hunt?" Their was an almost playful grin peeled upon her face.
----------------------------------
Chandra paused in her tracks as she heard several new noises around her, which in her excitment she had nearly ignored. Bells, chatter, and even laughter. Excitment threatened to overwhelm her as she started to run in the direction of the nearest source of noise and there in front of her was two horses. Both appeared female, though through the mask of bone that one of them wore it was hard to say for certain, they seemed pleasent enough and so, unable to hold back any longer Chandra spoke. "Wanacometomybirthdayparty?" She spoke so fast that her words all seemed to merge int one, she blushed slightly -after all it was her birthday, she really didn't want to come across as some immature filly- and slowly tried again, "I mean... would you like to come to my birthday party?"
As soon as the words left her lips her face exploded into a large playful grin. Her little ear wings wiggled and fluttered on their own as they often did when her emotions ran high.
Yet her excitment was short lived as something russled and made a noise behind her, making her jump what seemed to be twenty feet in the air as he wings reacted instantly to make her flutter above the earth. She looked down to see a.... squirral? Curious now rather than afraid she looked at the creature that seemed to be riding yet another mare, of a sandy pelt who wore a sddle. "Do you belong to two-leggers?" She asked without thinking, the Miakoda herd had always been encouraged to stay away from two-leggers due to their unpredicability, yet Sonnet and his small herd had taught her that not all two-leggers should be judged the same as the others. She had always been curious about the strange creatures but never dared to venture closer out of fear that her mother and father would slaughter her for her disobience.
Instead she indulgded in stories and fantasies.

Thesh-ah was the first to knotice the approch and took a defensive step forward incase of danger However . . . Once she noted that it was not a defensive situation but rather a social one she almost froze. Thank goodness her mask covered her clueless expreshion. "Wh- wel- I - uh" she stuttered. With a Slight roll of her visible eye Blake stepped arround thesh-ah and in front of the mare. "way to freeze." she said as she looked back over her shoulder at thesh-ah With a crooked smile. Thesh-ah turned away with a scowl and Blake looked back to the mare. Who was already flutering away startled by some rustleing in the bushes. " wait-A party we would love too wait for us! Come on thesh-ah quit draging those led hooves of yours your slow enugh!" blake called. Trotting along behind the fluttering mare. Thesh-ah ha no choice but to fallow at this point after all it was her poet appointed duty to make sure Blake made it back home in one pice.

Lex blinked rapidly as he exited the forest. The sun was shining bright and he needed to get his eyes readjusted to the light. When he felt able to open his gray eyes and not be blinded by the sunlight, Lex started to walk away. He started to walk around the outside of the forest, searching for his friend. He looked left, right, in front of and behind himself. But Canon was nowhere in sight.
"Canon? You here?" There was no response. Lex pouted, he was sure Canon would be here by now, so where was his friend? Lex couldn't be late, could he? But then again, maybe he was late and was it possible that Canon grew tired of waiting for him. He couldn't of gone in the forest, could he? Lex hurried along, maybe he was more up ahead?
Still there was no sign of Canon. Lex stopped at the point where he first entered the forest. He nosed the ground. It appeared like someone other than Lex had been here. Canon? Lex looked over to the forest, he must be in there, somewhere. Lex headed over to the deciduous forest and walked back into it. He walked for a little while when he heard voices and bells? He paused behind a tree and looked around it.
He spotted the two peculiar looking mares right away. One was green, yellow and orange, with a garment that adorned her body, the other mare frightened Lex a little, with her long purple hair and skeletal mask. Near them was a star patterned mare. Lex watched them curiously for a few minutes, they were a strange trio. He looked past them and saw a colourful squirrel and a palomino mare with a saddle.
He grinned. All mares, how weird was this? Was there a gathering happening today? If so, how many more mares were coming here? Lex walked out from behind the tree at last. He smiled huge at all the mares, even the one who did scare him a little, his gray eyes widened a little at her haunting green eyes. "Hello ladies! What brings you all out here on this wonderful day?" Lex asked cheerfully. Maybe even one of them saw Canon, that would definitely help Lex out. ------------------------------------------------------------- Canon had waited for approximately fifteen minutes until he grew tired of just standing there. Canon was normally a patient stallion but he had expected Lex to be waiting for him or to come soon after. Something must have happened to Lex or he was currently preoccupied. His friend wasn't cruel, nor was he the type to leave someone hanging. Although Lex wasn't the most punctual of stallions, he was always apologetic if he did end up being late. Canon did wonder what was holding Lex up.
So, Canon decided he would have to find Lex. He wasn't too keen on going into a forest alone, especially one he hadn't seen the inside of in a year or so. A year may not seem like a long period of time, but it could be enough time for dangers to come in the forest. He paced outside of the entrance, back and forth and then again. Over and over again he walked across the entrance. Finally, Canon entered the forest. His heart raced and he hated his nerves for it.
He walked for a little while when he spotted the mare in the distance. She was black with gold swirls and leaves all over her body. He raised his eyebrows, Canon had not suspected he or Lex would encounter other soquili today. But it was true the forest was large, of course there would be others, whether they lived here or not.
"Good day." He nodded politely at the mare, as he stepped closer to her. "Have you by chance seen a black and red unicorn stallion with a '13' on his side?" Canon asked.

It wasn't long before the sound of distant voices joined the hoofbeats, as well as what might be bells. There was certainly something going on in the forest, what that might be the young mare had no idea. She listened intently, trying to hear what those voices might be saying, becoming almost completely oblivious to the stallion approaching her. She flicked an ear back at the sound of a hoofbeat and crunch of some leaves, trying not to seem to surprised at his sudden appearance.
"Good day." She said, turning around to get a better look at him. "No I have not. You are the first I have met today."
