So here's the deal, people.

I will give you one word, and that will be the theme of a short story that you write.

This story must be so totally random and out there that only a psychotic mind could possibly keep up.

This short story must be at LEAST three paragraphs, mm'kay?

Whenever I decide to, I will declare the winner. That winner will get 10,000 gold.

AND THE WORD IS: Fish.

Ashura stared at the ground, face completely dead-pan, even after the... rather interesting circumstances. She sighed, then glanced at her fingernails, dutifully painted black as the Fish before her wriggled uncomfortably.
"So will you help me?" He asked, obviously in pain as his back stretched in an awkward pose as he lie in the glass of water. Ashura crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow.
"You fall from the sky, land into my water, then ask me to bring you back to the 'Great Pond', which you have absolutely no clue about. Let's face it: You are an amnesic peice of cat-food." The Fish tensed as the word was spoken, and Ashura took this chance to heart. "Miiittensss... Babyyy..." She called, her voice an uncharacteristic purr.
A fat grey tabby came prowling over to her, its throat rumbling like a moterboat. The Fish stared in absolute horror and he tried to make himself look smaller in the cup of water, bending himself into an even more painful position. Ashura smirked at him and stroked the fat cat's head, scratching it behind the ear. Suddenly, the Fish was saved, when Ashura's younger brother, William, walked by.
"Ashie, why is there a fish in your water?" He asked, his big blue eyes completely innocent. Ashura shrugged, scratching Mittens' chin to the time of the obese cat's purring.
"Mittens was hungry." She said easily, but it was the wrong thing to say to the little animal-rights obsessi.
"ASHURA! How do you think the fish feels about that?" The Fish came into the conversation at a rather perfect time, chiming after the pre-teen boy.
"Yeah! How do you think I feel about being eaten?!" He said, and William gaped.
"Ashie! You were going to feed a talking fish to your cat?!" He was awestruck as he snatched the cup away from his sister, who had it dangerously close to the cat's furry lips.
Mittens gave a yowl of protest and tumbled backwards before Ashura could stop him. Luckily, as he was a cat, Mittens landed on his tiny feet, and padded off, rather shakily and distraught, as his little fat rolls tried to carry him away. Ashura shook her head slowly.
"Fish are healthy for fat cats like the Mittenator. He needs to diet." She said before tossing a piece of chicken at the cat, making a kissy face. William wasn't swayed. Rather, he was looking in awestruck adoration at his new friend.
"What's your name? How did you get into the cup? What do you want from us? Are you an alien? Do you want to eat our brains?" William started shooting questions at the poor Fish, until the Fish was able to hold up a scaly fin in protest. Then, he told his story.

I remember being cradled by my mother fish, and I knew that she loved me. But my sibling fish were jealous, because I was the only one who resembled our Father, who died a year ago. So they threw me from the Great Lake, and hoped that I'd die from lack of water. Luckily, I fell into the glass of this scary lady and survived, though now I can't remember my name, or where I come from.

Ashura yawned. "You sure jazzed it up the second time." She said, shooting him a glance. The Fish ignored her, and so did William, who was unhealthily obsessed with the talking fish.

"Maybe we can find out where you come from if we ask around!" William said, hoping that his plan seemed brilliant.
"Yes!" Ashura replied enthusiastically. "I'll make posters! It'll say... Found Fish. It talks, and is kind of annoying. Slightly amnesic and is deathly afraid of cats, but obsessed with water. Please call 123-539-3098 if you are looking for him." Ashura ended her speech with a raised eyebrow and a very snarky tone. "Honestly?"
William looked crestfallen.
"But we have to try..." With his puppy dog look, and the ridiculous fishy fish look of the Fish, Ashura rolled her eyes again and finally agreed. And so the story begins...
