EDIT: Freezer glitch is definitely NOT fixed.
See my post below.

I am wondering if the freezer glitch may have been quietly fixed.

A couple of days ago I pulled some dolphins from the freezer that had been in quite a while. Under the glitch their date of death would have advanced significantly. Instead there was little or no change other than freezer time (the way it is supposed to work). Fish previously affected by freezer glitch seem unchanged.

I'm okay with Gaia fixing this glitch but if they did so it's too bad they missed yet another opportunity to communicate with us.

I'm looking for input from others. Have you tested this? Does the glitch appear fixed to you?

some fish glitch some do not... its pretty sporadic... i'll look into it though wink

*edit*
i just pulled a few old fish on a mule and the ages were actually correct smile maybe they did fix it... too little info to tell for sure though.

Lifespan gets extended when you pull fish in and out of Barretts. It will not affect the fish you've put into Barretts, but the fish inside your tank that have spent time in Barretts. Try this cos thats what happened with my tank. The lifespan of the fish remaining in my aquarium have been extended if they've visited Barretts before.

BTW, glitch can go either way. I bought a starfish and when I tried to glitch it, it died same day. lol

Oh, also, to glitch the fish, it needs to stay in Barretts through one glow cycle.

Edit: To "activate" the glitch, it needs to be in Barretts through one glow.

The life extends for me no matter how long they're in for.

Early this week, I don't remember which day, I pulled out 2 dolphins from tank. The ages of all fish has increased by 50h except the meats and the 2 dolphins I pulled out. I can try that again.

Yep, glitch still works xd

I have noticed that when I use ANY fish whose lifespan is measured in "months" rather than weeks it WILL NOT GLITCH.

I have multiple mixed fish tanks that have (and continue to increase the life-span of) glitched fish. But never the dolphins.

EDIT: I have now seen proof that Dolphins do indeed get glitched. I retract my previous statement biggrin

Perhaps it is only less common?

There is more than one type of analyzer. One type shows death date as "hrs/mins/secs from now" and the other shows death date as "days/hours/mins from now". Hope that helps.

When I pulled my dolphins back out after the strike, I noticed that they weren't glitched. I think dolphins just don't get glitched as easily.

Edit: I just tried it and can confirm that the glitch does still exist. If you check out my analyzer you can see that my dolphins will have a life span of a year, which I just now did by taking out a watermeat and replacing it with one of the meats I had stored in Barrett's tank. Sadly, my monster's life span didn't increase.

Okay... I feel rather stupid here... I went on strike too, but when I pulled my Dolphins back out of the freezer I didn't even pay attention to their date of death on the analyzer and what's even worse, I didn't even know there was a glitch. Sheesh! I have a mermaid in Barrett's tank that is supposedly going to live until 2021. LOL!

I think the way it works is that it doesn't effect the fish that you freeze, but the ones in your tank when you pull out a frozen fish. So, if you put one of your dolphins in Barrett's tank and replace it with one of the fish you have frozen, it should increase the lifespan of the dolphins in the tank. Then you can pull the dolphin you put in Barrett's tank back out. It should have it's original death date, but the others will live longer. Although I can't promise it will work. It seems like sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

During the strike, my dolphins was new ( some 8-10 days before strike starting).

They have been in Barret from day 7-15 untill the strike was over.

They have not get the glitch (not my friend's fish did), and I assumed glitch is solved for new fish going into Barret.

Some of the original and low fish which got the glitch early december, they remain having lifes quite long.

Thank for this. I had always swapped full sets to I thought it was time in freezer. I just did some testing. Not only is the glitch NOT fixed it is even weirder than you say. You are correct it is the fish left in the tank that are affected. I'm not sure if fish in the freezer are also effected or not. The whole sets I took out were but was that from being in the freezer or from when I took the rest of the fish out?

Anyway, the 'weirder' part is the fish in tank are affected both ways. You put a fish in the freezer - the remaining fish go up in life. You pull a fish out of the freezer - the remaining fish go up in life.

To avoid a long cluttered post I narrowed the following stats down to one fish and just the name, date / time of death stuff. MUDOL09 was in Mufid's tank the whole time. Watch what happens to its DoD as I put fish in the freezer and take fish out. Also please note I did not wait. I just did it about as fast as my sad little dial up internet would go.
