Overview: Baltazar is a rather moody individual who generally keeps to himself unless provoked; and that is when things get ugly. As soon as someone tramples on his sense of calm, the beast in him takes over, striking out. He still believes Las Noches to be a ‘kill or be killed’ environment, and sticks to the philosophy of survival. For the most part, he thinks before he speaks or acts, unless he is in a situation where that isn’t possible. He shows no remorse for those who get into fights that they can’t win, and will do everything in his power to ensure that they know of the pecking order.

How they became an Espada: Before he became an Arrancar, he was much the same as Grimmjow Jaegerjaque, in the sense that he was an Adjuchas-class Menos. He was more serpentine in shape and made the sands of Las Noches his hunting ground. When he had killed a large number of higher-class Arrancar, Aizen offered him a seat of power, as well as the augmented power of a Hougyoku shard. He became Trecera Espada.

Why? Since the Hougyoku has a will of its own, Baltazar finds himself doing things he normally wouldn’t, which disturbs him to the point of lashing out at everyone.

Resurrección Abilities:
Hierro- As Trecera espada, he has the passive ability of Hierro. His is strong enough to withstand most large-scale attacks with little to no damage taken. Injuries may appear in the form of burns or scratches.
Gran Ray Cero: As an Espada, he is able to use this Espada-exclusive Cero variant, which produces a much larger and more powerful version of the normal Cero, enough potentially to cause great damage to Las Noches itself. In order to fire it, Baltazar must first bite himself and inject venom into his hand. His Gran Rey Cero color is dark green.
Venom- Much like the snake he is, Baltazar has a set of venom-spitting fangs, located in the upper-rear portion of his jaw. During a bite, venom is forced through the fangs and into the wound, and quickly attacks the victim's central nervous system and induces severe pain, blurred vision, vertigo, drowsiness, and paralysis. The effects start to take place almost instantly, before envenomation progresses to cardiovascular collapse, and the victim falls into a coma. Death soon follows due to respiratory failure. Death usually takes place between 35-45 minutes, but can kill a grown man in 15 minutes flat.
Heightened Senses- Baltazar uses his keen eyesight and sense of smell to detect prey. Able to identify the slightest movement, he flicks his tongue to gauge his prey’s direction from over 500 meters away. He is extremely sensitive to earth-borne vibrations, and his hearing is top-notch.
In his ressurecion form, Baltazar becomes faster, more agile, and deadly. He is able to use sonido to increase his precision. His strength also increases tenfold, especially if he uses his tail to squeeze his enemies. Just like a serpent, Baltazar is able to shed his skin, though this happens on rare occasions and only in his released state. Shedding his skin allows him to heal his wounds, but the effort it takes to shed such a large skin takes his vitality down by 16%.
