Cosplay - As a child, Ilse was a pageant princess, part of a world of hair extensions, spray tans, and expensive dresses that only ever get worn once. As she grew older, Ilse got into fandom, and traded in overly frilly dresses and tiaras for... overly detailed costumes, custom wigs, and colored contacts. She's particularly proud of herself for her skills in sewing costumes, and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure she gets top prize. If only because it's usually impossible to buy everything she needs locally, Ilse tends to do a lot of shopping online for specific fabric patterns or wigs.
Plurk - In the era of the world wide web and social networking, Ilse has a plurk instead of a Twitter or Facebook account, preferring how customizable it is compared to the other two sites. She mostly uses it to talk about fandom-related things (who talks about their real life on these things??), and uses it to share videos of AMVs she likes, like that one Madoka one set to 'Cosmic Love'.
Sound Horizon - Out of all of Ilse's fandoms, Sanhora is among her favorites. She only just recently got into the Japanese fantasy band, so she wasn't around for the Aramary era, but she feels indifferent either way about the arguments about the band dying with Aramary's departure. A good portion of her playlist is filled with their music, and her online handles are a reference back to their "Märchen" and "Ido e Ido" albums, and she's been brainstorming Sanhora cosplay ideas as well.
Bubble baths - Her secret indulgence. At the end of a long day, what better way to rewind than soaking in a tub full of colored bubbles with scented bath oils? Nobody knows this, and she'd certainly hope they never do, but Ilse also enjoys playing with the bubbles... which might be her real reason for enjoying bubble baths so much.
Virtues:
Determined -- Once Ilse has her mind set on something, she'll stop at nothing to achieve her goals. She is a one-girl army, unwilling to step down or give up, with all the force of a speeding bullet train. It's hard, if not impossible, to deter her otherwise, and it's probably a bad idea, really. She can, and she will achieve whatever it is she's after- nobody's going to rain on her parade if she can help it.
Punctual -- Ilse believes in being on time, in arriving at the exact time requested, to the minute on the dot. Tardiness is unforgivable in her book, and she believes in setting an example to others by being prompt and ready. Ilse schedules her daily plans very carefully so as to make sure she has enough time for everything and how long each task should take.
Self-confident -- Ilse prides herself on being self-sufficient, independent and not needing to rely on anyone. She is absolutely confident in herself, perhaps to the point of being overly confident, and does not see herself as capable of possibly ever being wrong at all. If she believes she can do something, then she'll definitely be able to do it without a problem, and no obstacle is too large or hurdle too high to cross over. She will win, because she has absolute faith in herself.
Flaws:
Impatient -- Ilse doesn't tolerate tardiness. Just as she believes in being punctual and on time, she holds these same expectations to everyone else, friends or not. She doesn't like being kept waiting, and would rather leave or proceed onwards without the missing persons in question, depending on the situation. If Ilse wants something to happen, it's going to happen when she says it will happen, and she had better not hear any excuses.
Self-centered -- Ilse is self-centered. In her dreams, she is the star: it's her. The world stops on a dime for her, not you, and she thinks of herself first before she might even consider others. She's not about to give up the spotlight without a fight, and the stage isn't big enough for two people. Being an only child and a pageant princess, she's spoiled and accustomed to the idea that she has to be better than everyone else if she wants to win. This isn't to say that she's against helping others, just that it's more likely to occur if it benefits her in some way and she can take credit.
Sore loser -- Thanks to a childhood of being coached that second best is unacceptable, Ilse strives for top place even to this day. She has to be the best at everything, and she doesn't tolerate getting less than the grand prize.That said, she doesn't handle defeat very well, when it does inevitably happen, and it isn't too far of a stretch to say that she won't accept losing- she'll protest the results to the end. Equally, she won't back down from an argument, either- she has to get in the final word, and her opinion has to be the one that matters. Ilse is not a very fun person when she loses.
