--- The Volcanic Plains ---

User Image

Holy s**t... this place is HOT. The volcanic plains are the product of a chain of small volcanoes which have permanently cracked and scarred the land. Though the ground is solid, below the surface, rivers of magma and fire run swiftly, often times shooting up out of the cracks in the surface of this land. The heat is almost unbearable, but there is no difficulty in breathing due to any kind of ash or other volcanic effects. Though not entirely pleasant to them, this area is great for Katon users and dismally wretched for Suiton users.

After every 2 posts, a jet of fire will shoot out of multiple cracks and surfaces around and near the Genin, making them dodge the spurts of ignited gas and fire, or risk some nasty burns. Somehow, the fire always seems to find you, so don't try to pull that "it erupted off to the side of me" crap. DODGE IT, or be burned.

{Katon Users: All Katon jutsu used are +1 in rank}
{Suiton Users: All Suiton techniques used are -1 in rank}
{Doton Users: Once every 3 jutsu can add a 'magma' effect, as the jutsu can carry the running lava underneath it along with it.}
{Yonbi: +2 to all Yoton Jutsu}

Just as quickly as the light had engulfed them, it began to fade. The sounds of the arena had already faded away and as the light left, they found themselves in the middle of the Volcanic flames. As if on cue to their arrival, jets of fire shot up out of the ground around them through some of the cracks in the ground's surface, causing the Jounin to jump back slightly, though he didn't break a sweat about it. He had plenty of reason to in this place though as the air was blisteringly hot, and even just standing in one place for too long would begin to overheat you even faster.

The slow rumble of the volcanic range out in the distance could be seen spewing molten hot magma through the various tributaries throughout the field. The sounds of the magma flow could be heard as well as jets of steam and fire rising up all across the plains. There were few battle zones as inhospitable as this and looking down at the ground, one might even imagine that just touching it might burn a hand. Wasting no time, the Jounin instructor had the Genin separate so there was about 25 feet in between them before speaking...
"Alright, you both know the drill. No rules, except that I will intervene to make sure no one dies. Aside from that, battle at your hardest! HAJIME!"

Arriving on the plains, Shinji jumped back from the jet of flame just as the Jounin did, landing about 3 feet away with a smirk on his face. the smirk then grew to a full smile as he looked up to his opponent, apparently invigorated by the danger of the ground beneath him. Looking around, Shinji knew he would have a good advantage here in at least one way... it looked like it was unbearably hot to most, but to Shinji the heat was barely registering to his skin. As a Konaga, the pain of his bloodline deadened his sense of touch to such things, giving him a natural advantage in weather extremes.

Pain surged through his veins at the sight of the field, his arms and legs tingling along with the rest of his body, but it was quickly overwritten by the flow of adrenaline through his veins as he jumped backwards a few lengths to distance himself from the boy. He had seen Zin's movement vs. Yamatano... he was fast, and the sword he carried, he seemed to be well trained in using it at high speed. As such, Shinji would have to press the match to avoid allowing the boy to prepare for it. "If I can keep him on the defensive, my offense will likely break through anything he can put up against me and it should control his high speed attacks . Just how I like to fight anyways."

Shinji was a simple, instinctual fighter. Thinking about things too much was boring for him in many respects. He preferred to act and react accordingly, relying on his quick movements and his instincts in combat, which when combined with his explosive power often meant great danger to anyone he fought. The Jounin had barely even finished the word 'Hajime' before Shinji dashed forward, closing the gap between the two Genin in seconds. His speed carrying him beyond that of most, Shinji attacked quickly, spinning around rapidly before ducking down into a low sweep kick against the boy, which would end up around his knees.

That would not be his final attack however as Shinji would follow through with continuous attacks afterward. Shinji would continue the spin, setting his hand down for a mere second afterward to stabilize himself and launch another kick towards the boy if he was in range, and then rotate his body and follow the boy head on, chasing after him with two quick punches, throwing in a spinning elbow and another spinning kick following that. the assault would continue for as long as Zin allowed it, or until an attack was blocked, stopping Shinji's momentum, or a counter attack was made which would then change his own reaction. Time would tell how the actual plan of attack would pan out.

User Image Zin waited for Shinji to pick his items as his unblinking eyes just stared at his uncle and grandfather. It would seem that they where having a conversation in some odd manner with how intently the child stared while his snakes gave a similar glare to Shinji. Partly for intimidation and partly to keep an eye out for what Shinji might choose. But, it seemed after his careful decision making, he choose to keep the... bracers? So he has bracers? Interesting... I will keep note of that. Zin thought softly to himself as his eyes slowly peeled from his family and looked at the proctor as the table resided itself back into the mist of the stadium from whence it came. Zin turned to look at Shinji with a fake, rather... creepy smile for a child to have, as that unblinking stare now went towards his opponent. Zin, was trying to gauge the mentality of his opponent. If he sensed any fear from the older boy the match would be settled then and there but... to Zin's happy surprise there was none. In fact, Zin felt more excitement of a warrior from Shinji than fear. Indeed this will be a great match. He though to himself as Zin waited for them to enter the battle field and continue to the fight for the pride of the strongest Chuunin in-the-making.

~~~~~~~~~~
When Zin felt the usual affects of the flash,the child immediately was snapped from his blur of mind state when he felt a powerful heat source near his body. The boy looked over and to his, huge displeasure, Zin felt a rumbling that started out wide but slowly started to center around that one area where a 'nice' little hole choose to be. Great... the match hasn't even started and I'm about to be fried... What a smart proctor we have using the Shunshin technique... IDIOT! I will have him consumed for this stupidity! He child hissed more words that should better be left hidden in his mind as he quickly launched himself into a round off into multiple back-handsprings; putting him a little more than the feet required to start the match. Like any sensible snake, the boy wasn't going to attack until he felt the time was right and with him not knowing but a few things about Shinji, going heads up with this unknown opponent would be an early down fall.
Though, from what Shinji seemed from this distance, like him the heat didn't bother him. Truly the heat only relaxed him as he and his serpents seemed to be in a little mini-vacation in this burning land. Zin rather felt himself easily suppressing his emotions and thoughts as the burning canvas of land that would usually destroy a persons mind set of fighting anyone relaxed the cold blooded prince. Instead of moving into his battojutsu stance Zin decided to take him with his Taijutsu. The only person that truly witness Zin's un-orthodoxed Chinese based fighting techniques was Hiniko. Zin only utilized the Taijutsu of this time to compliment his styles within the ancient art of Cung Fu. Moving his right foot forward, which was hidden in the lightly over-sized pants, Zin put it into a little angle with his left foot directly behind it but a little more to the left and slightly bent. The child's right foot would have less weight than the back leg which took a good bulk of the weight. The child's hands would take another unfamiliar style that he was quite sure no one of this ignorant world would know. He called them ignorant mostly because of them forgetting the styles that came before the all of these new techniques; one would could even call them the father of the techniques that are being utilized now. If one were to have knowledge of what Zin was in, which he believed only his grandfather and uncle would know right off the back or the Kages who had some years in the timeline, was what people call in Cung Fu; the 'Snake Style'. Right hand over the right foot moving constantly as a form of distraction while the 'hidden' hand laid over the hip ready to perform the deadly strikes when need be. But Zin had a little advantage on his side when it came to his Taijutsu. His father's kimono and baggy clothing to hide his limbs. The large kimono seemed to be quite loose in the sleeves as it rather hid the Naga Prince's tiny hands; only further bringing into question to when and where he'd strike. Shinji, at least Zin hoped, would find out the hard way as Zin awaited the words 'Begin'.
When he heard the words 'Hajime', Zin didn't move as it seemed his opponent already was doing so. He's very fast... If push comes to shove I might have to release my weights. But I'll only do so if I'm going to utilize my Battojutsu. Zin thought as he continued his taunting pattern with his hand while the distance closed rapidly between them. He lightly moved to raise both of his feet onto the ball or platforms of the feet, but didn't move to much as that right hand continued it's taunting and distracting action. When Zin saw him launch into the air, the child immediately started counting as well as try to see how he stepped off. Which possibly was the most important clue to figure out the kick Shinji might perform with his acrobatic strike. Using his knowledge as a hand-to-hand fighter, plus his 'booksmarts', Zin tried to see what type of kick he was performing. It couldn't be a tornado kick as it had to much speed. His body was a little too erect for a five-forty which left the seven twenty. Zin confirmed this to an extent when he didn't lay a kick in the air but a kick below. It seemed he was going to utilize the momentum of the spin to bring the sweep even more force. He hissed softly underneath his breath as the child did a simple movement to dodge the strike; a kick back with his right leg from his toe to create distance, but not so much that the new distance was beyond his own striking length, while keeping said kicked off foot up to completely let the foot pass by. Zin didn't want the other to notice, but 'Snake' was a very close up style; even closer than Taijutsu in which your practically 'within' the persons shirt as you devastate them with quick precise blows. Something Zin hoped to get off but his opponent was showing quite good attacking skills which indeed kept Zin on his toes. This might turn into a brawl... Good. I have always wanted to test my version of Taijutsu on someone in a serious fight.
When Zin saw him continuing the momentum, it was quite obvious his assault wasn't over. His slitted eyes watched his offensive prone opponent utilizing the momentum to fire another kick at him. Zin, thankfully was already in the stance to take the hit as the Naga child's middle shin took the hit, which was lightly 'padded' with some metal chakra leg weights in hopes to give Shinji a nice wake up call if he indeed tried to utilize his shin's to bring more damage to the leg blow. But,as Shinji continued his momentum, Zin found his opportune time to strike as the child would simply go with the flow of Shinji's strike and bring a hopeful devastating strike to him. As Zin's leg was kicked, which was the right, had been knocked to the side Zin didn't fight the force of the blow as it would take un-needed energy as well as knock him out of his flow. So, instead to reply to his hands-on friend Zin let his leg fly out to the right as he acted like he was knocked off balance; the only clue to him not truly being knocked off course was that emotionless face that seemed to gauge his opponent's location before spinning around. Just as Shinji throws those two jabs, that foot that seemed to be knocked of course takes it's rise again. Coming from the bottom to a sharp 'U' strike to the side, as Zin performed a 'Dragon Tail strike.' Or, to what some people call a simple, 'Whip Kick', aimed to block Shinji's jabs to hopefully knock him off balance by pushing his body against itself. The child, more precisely as he started to spin to initiate the technique aimed to kick at Shinji's elbow to jam it a bit if his opponent outstretched his arm too much.
If he did, or didn't strike the elbow the boy was quite sure Shinji would think twice about attacking the child further with that counter, as the Prince himself went into the offensive. As Zin's leg came down, the boy evily tried to stomp or land forcefully at Shinji's front foot to halt his movement. If he succeeded, Zin would try to lift that left leg sky-high before bringing it down like an almighty ax,"Tsutenkyu {Painful Sky Leg}!!!"Zin yelled out as his leg would attempt to come down,utilizing his strength plus the sixty pounds of weights that held on his calf muscles which he hoped Shinji hadn't noticed yet.
Still kicking high off of adrenaline, a plastered smile of almost crazed enjoyment could be seen across Shinji's face. As his first strike missed, the second was already on it's way, which he was surprised to see hit, though not to the effect he had thought it might. His opponent seemed to be using one of the ancient styles... not that he knew anything about it beside it's existence, but it seemed to be well suited to close combat fighting. He felt no resistance to the kick as the boy's leg moved, but was not knocked off balance. "Conservative style, defense redirecting force. He'll certainly try to pres an advantage after trying to knock me off balance."
Shinji's blood was pumping fast, that pain through his veins numbing his body to the outside as he pushed it to the background of his mind. He lived for moments like this, where his pain was practically shunted away... nothing but a dull roar to his mind, though still consuming his body. Adrenaline was the ultimate solution to his pain and Shinji reveled in it's employment. Watching the boy carefully as he launched his jabs, he saw the leg he kicked out rise up to strike at his attack. Reacting quickly in close quarters, Shinji recoiled his arms into a defensive block, avoiding the first blow and then the other which lashed out at his elbow.
What surprised him next however was how quickly the leg was dropped as it slammed down onto the ground. He suddenly felt his foot pinned, though no real force of pain could be felt through it. Shinji instantly knew however that the boy's missed attack had landed forcefully on his foot. Anyone other then a Konaga might have recoiled from the hit, but Shinji regarded it as nothing before watching the boy raise up his left up at stunning speed before bringing it down on Shinji in an axe kick. The boy was small, but the force behind the attack on his foot had to be great to even register to any degree against him. Therefore, the incoming attack would be many times that force.
Instinct kicked in, as Shinji's arms both suddenly ignited in silverish-white chakra. The chakra practically rippled off his arms, engulfing them both instantly as the violent chakra licked off of his arms like angry streams of electricity. This close up, one ight even imagine that they could hear the silent scream sof anguish, destruction, and pain which was Shinji's bloodline chakra. What would follow next, would more then likely shock anyone and followed so quickly that it would be hard to dodge. Shinji didn't just plan an attack simply to attack. He knew that pressing an attack, at least against stronger opponents would allow for a counter. Shinji would then use his greatest strength, his body's ability to absorb damage and pump it out to his advantage.
The boy's kick fell hard, the full weight of the blow striking down, but Shinji simply raised his left arm up, catching the heel of the boy's foot as it stopped the attack, weights and all like a brick wall, feeling no recoil from it at all. Shinji's hand then gripped the leg, his hand ignited in chakra digging into the young ninja's skin like fire as his vicious counter was instantly launched... not at Zin himself, but directly at the boy's leg which he was hopefully holding firm, striking directly below his knee. The force of the collision behind his right arm would be devastating to such a fragile area, likely shattering all the bones in that area of the leg, if not taking most of the muscle, nerves, and anything else in the area down along with it.
User Image Zin was quite he was about about to bring the man into pain; the 'painful sky leg' was an extremely powerful technique at it's rank and could definitely bring a person down with ease. That is if... said person that was hit was regular. Unfortunately, Shinji was not a regular person. When the child's foot collided into the hand Zin didn't hear the bone crushing crack that should fill his ears ears with pleasure. No, instead Zin heard a crackle, like that of flames that usually would come from a camp fire, emit from the older boy's arm. This, indeed, peaked his interest as Zin was surprised by this ability; it was the exact same ability he witness in the Rock Dojo. So... this what he did to survive those boulders.What.. charka is emitting this powerfully from his body. That... gives me an idea. The child thought before hissing in pain as he saw that the chakra actually became visible and even produce pain. A.. A Demon... Could this be a Demon Cloak I've read about? But... I have never seen one of this texture... Not only that it's too 'controlled' and it shouldn't be at this ranking... No.. He isn't a Jinchuuriki but... This power is massive! The child had to think quickly and indeed moved quickly to avoid being destroyed by a hand that seemed like it was going to hammer fist his shins; oh... and said hand was encased in deathly chakra! How wonderful!
First thing was first was to try and dim the strike that would probably blast his shin's into fragments. Usually in this up close situation he would order his snakes to attack but with Shinji's chakra, that seemed to also be able to be put into the offensive, it would be a futile attack. Just as Zin was about to pose his attack, the ground rumbled once again as Nagi hissed and told him that another spout was about to erupt. Oh all the times.....Tch... Taking at risky move Zin lifted his right leg to hop onto Shinji's quads and quickly launch himself back up to aim a powerful kick at Shinji's chin performing the, 'Konoha Shoufuu' which was an attack that is originally designed to disarm or give the opponent a nice 'wake up call'. But Zin took this basic to immediate attack and turned it into an advanced strike as Zin's Cung Fu ways was shown once more in which he performed a 'Flash Kick.' A 'Flash kick' is basically a back-flip in where the user flicks out their leg to strike. As one can see,it is indeed a flashy stunt as it is truly difficult to get into the position to perform it,but when you are able to, the power is quite devastating. Zin's power with the kick would be even more powerful, as his left foot was already lifted so that would further help his ability to generate enough force to knock Shinji back or knock a couple of smarts from the boy if his targeted area,the chin, is hit.
But this didn't excuse the strike that Shinji was about to destroy Zin's leg with. Thinking quickly Zin bent his straightened leg up, which would tremendously help the child not get an assured broken bone as well as pump up his modified 'Konoha Shoufuu attack,while he took the hit at an angle. With Zin's weights and the child having trained his body a to take blows, the boy winced as the power still brought enormous pain to his shin and possibly would have him limping for a little bit but thankfully it wasn't anything too serious that he couldn't suppress and continue fighting. By this time, the hole in the earth finally ignited and launched a un-welcomed amount of fiery stones to hail down upon them. The boy would quickly push off,if he got free from Shinji and would get himself a good distance away from the burning stones, using his ways of Shukuchi to shake off the pain until his own adrenaline started to take over and ready him for another all out brawl as the child prepared for another up-close feud.
Konaga Shinji
Not being an expert in taijutsu as his young opponent seemed to be, Shinji had no counter to the specialized flash kick. His attack hit, but not straight on, much to his dismay, and he caught the brunt of the shot to the chin as he reeled backwards, nearly falling before he was able to stabilize himself in a backward slide. Pain quickly flowed into both of his arms as he winced at the suffering burn he would feel for the next day at least. His arms were on fire, his body receiving the waves of pain which flowed through him as an agonizing side effect of his augmentations... yet somehow he was still smiling.
Crouched down over the flowing hot magma surface, Shinji felt a sudden trickle of something enter his mouth. It was tasteless as all things were to him, but he licked at it none the less. bringing his hand to his mouth and drawing it away, he looked down to see his finger dirtied with blood. Bringing his hand to his jaw he tried to feel if he could generate pain from it, but there was nothing but numbness. In reality however, his jaw had practically been dislocated from it's socket, and had caused his teeth to shred into a section of his cheek. Spitting at the ground, he saw his saliva mixed with blood as it steamed on contact with the hot ground, but Shinji could only smile as he slowly stood up and looked at his opponent. The expression that followed could only be described as bloodlust as his eyes grew wide in excitement, his smile widening as a small bit of blood dripped off the side of his lip. What followed could almost be described as an animalistic hiss as he gaped his mouth open and released a breath of air as a challenge to the boy. It almost seemed like he enjoyed being harmed, and indeed Shinji was using the excitement to push back and control the pain.
Staring Zin down, Shinji was reaching up to remove his sword from it's clamp when a sudden popping noise betrayed that the ground below him was about to open up. Shinji quickly leaped to the side, just in time to avoid a jet of fire which rose out of the ground directly where he was standing. With grace and agility however, Shinji landed on his shoulder, rolling right back up to a crouched position, his hands quickly weaving hand seals to match his new position. "Doton: Tamaishi Danmaku" Coordinating his words with his hand movements, Shinji turned his palms towards the ground as he said the words, causing the earth below his hands to crack and crater, splintering the earth around him, creating large amounts of debris which responded to his call and began to float in front of his hands. Pulling his hands up, more chunks followed, hovering threateningly in front of him before he thrust his arms forward towards Zin, hurling the cracked fragments of the earth directly at him. For a Genin, the chunks were huge... like sharp and jagged grapefruits which were launched at alarming speeds towards his opponent... about 15 in total, combined with a fine spray of other, smaller fragments which accompanied them in a wide spread.
Following the attack, Shinji then launched himself forward, readying himself to pursue Zin if he dodged to either side. In the middle of the dash, a large metal 'clang' could be heard as the sword which was practically the same height as his opponent was loosed from his back into Shinji's grip as he ran. As it was before, his speed would be blinding, and he would pursue his opponent with Forza, planning to make a horizontal strike across Zin's body, though he was ready for much more after that.
User Image Zin didn't believe himself to truly be an expert at Taijutsu; yes, he would admittedly pat himself on the back for exerting good skills in it but he didn't flatter himself with the words 'expert' when it came to that. The word would be better suited for his Battojutsu if anything seeing as Zin only used his blade when he intended to kill and so far the child hadn't reached his killing intent just yet. In fact despite his short-comings in this battle he was rather enjoying this feud between this... 'Shinji.' The power the boy held was quite intriguing and Zin would surely try to figure it out before the end of this battle.
Feeling the success of Shinji's jaw being smacked by his 'hidden' foot, Zin hissed happily along with his snakes in further glory as the bone seemed to also have given in a little from the strike. Zin giggled from his little distance from Shinji as his lightly protruding fangs shown glistening against the many torrents of hell fire that sprouted from this burning land. When Zin saw his kick had in fact produced the affect he wanted it to, he giggled a little harder as he was enjoying this fight very much even more so that Shinji seemed to be laughing at his own pain. "You are quite the interesting person, Shinji-san." He hissed softly as he started to calmly walk in a predatory manner around Shinji; seemingly hardly bothered by the pain as the suppression of his feelings kept the feeling of pain from affecting him as he tried to figure a better method of attacking him without taking a hit himself."It pains me that you do not have enough evil in your heart... You would've been a prized Shinobi." Zin said softly before smirking darkly to the animalistic cry from this opponent as he hissed,"But... it seems tea time is over. Let us continue, yes?" He said as it seemed Zin would have to try and deliver a harder blow to Shinji in order to take this human-beast down. From how Shinji was acting he seemed like a bear to him, for the stronger his adrenaline raised the more powerful he became; meaning Zin would have to throw blows at him that would dominate even the adrenaline rush. But then again, Zin wondered if there was more to this 'Shinji' and his abilities as it was far to soon to make a justified assumption.
As the two stared each other down, wild eyes from Shinji against a cold venomous glare from the Prince, Zin smiled as his opponent rather athletically dodged the flames that would have scorched him from his very skin as his eyes widened lightly when he saw him coming out of the shoulder roll doing hand seals. This immediately switched Zin's stance to a more conservative stance while keeping on his toes; he knew he was a Doton user and with the area they fought in and type of Doton would get a slight area affect. When the jutsu was called, the boy unfortunately, was not familiar with it; or at least to that extent. He had a jutsu that was similar to it and it seemed like the technique that Shinji was performing was the evolved version of the move. Thinking quickly of a move that might produce a defense against the move, Zin clasped his hands together weaving furiously through hand-seals,"Saihen no Te.."He hissed as a hand of the burning earth raised in-front of the child and ducked lightly behind it as he heard the fragments of the earth slamming into it. Of course, some passed through the lower part and cut the child along his sides which showed that this form of defense wasn't going to hold him for long. "I need to get out of here." He hissed as he shot to the side, seeing as the barrage seemed to be only going in one direction but in-case the attack was wide Zin would make sure to keep his left hand lightly held over the hilt of 'Amaterasu' while his right clasped over the upper sheath, as he ran towards Shinji; re-taking this battle to a heads up feud.
As Zin closed up the distance quickly in a couple of seconds, the right hand flicked the hilt up, making the blade slide up and let the beautiful white blade of 'Amaterasu' gleam in the light it caught from the area which was soon magnified tenfold when the hilt hit Zin's hand. Immediately as Zin's left hand grabbed the hilt as the blade continued to be pulled out, Zin pushed chakra into his favored weapon to produce a magnificent blinding light. Hopefully, it would blind Shinji enough to where he wouldn't see the child jumping into the air as he inhaled sharply while the poison from his venomous fangs drooled lightly before he exhaled in which a plume of large purple 'smoke' would release from his mouth which was aimed to consume his opponent entirely.
Making no comment to the boy's words, as he often felt that talk during a battle was generally ruining the fun if it simply made the battle slow down, Shinji simply followed his plan, ignoring the strange remarks about evil in his heart. After the boy summoned a large hand to protect him, Shinji scoffed, but as soon to happy to see what he thought was an opening as he made his move to strike with his sword.
As he charged, Shinji was almost in shock to see his opponent charge right back at him, hovering a hand over the hilt of his own weapon. Shinji smiled and relished the opportunity to clash blades with whatever weapon the boy would pull out. In his mind is would be more then a welcome exchange. With the size of the blade and the relative size of Shinji to Zin alone, Amaterasu had no chance in holding back the force behind Forza. Just as he was about to make his swing however, Shinji caught the small glimpse of light beginning to cascade off the white blade of his opponent's sword. Knowing that many weapons in the world had great powers just as his did, Shinji instinctively raised the sword up in front of his eyes as his instincts seemed to be correct.
Even with both the shield of the blade and the aversion of his eyes was not enough to allow him to completely escape the situation, as by the time he lowered his blade to find his opponent after the flash, he was already in the air, as he could see a stream of poison fog begin to form. "Damnit... too fast." With a loud clang, Shinji's sword was back in it's holster as he formed hand seals as quickly as possible, as the plume of smoke began to engulf the area around him. "Doton: Tsuchi Gunjikoudou no Jutsu" Immediately as the words were spoken, Shinji began to sink into the earth, instantly feeling the heat of the ground he was merging into. What he also felt however, was quite unfortunate... at least for him. In speaking the words of his jutsu, the poison fog had already reached him, allowing a small part of the poison gas to contact him, even enabling some of it to flow into his lungs. He felt no immediate effect, but his body raged against the foreign invasion quickly, causing havoc within his body.
Unable to keep focused on the jutsu for long, in combination with the heat of the ground, Shinji had to move quickly, as he was jaunted out of the earth only about 15 ft away, out of the cloud of poison fog, behind Zin. Immediately he felt waves of pain intensify in his body, radiating outward from his chest. His arms burned heavily, the pain throbbing and aching as if something had plugged up his veins and arteries, which caused them to swell and burst. Spitting up blood once again from his previous injury, Shinji didn't know what the poison might hold for him, but he knew his body would fight it aggressively, which meant he needed to finish the fight before his own body tore itself to shreds to rid himself of the poison.
Wasting no time as the boy was just landing from his attack, Shinji weaved a complex set of hand seals as he gathered an immense amount of chakra to him. dramatically holding his arms out after the second to last seal, Shinji brought the remaining chakra from within himself before closing the jutsu between clapped hands as he completed the technique... "Doton: Doryu Taiga" What followed next, might have been something the young Naga could recognize by name, but surely not by it's appearance. As the ground opened up on either side of Shinji, the empowered technique let loose as floods of mud flowed out from either side of him, carrying with them streams of lava interlaced into the jutsu from the ground below. In front of him the streams mixed together into a raging river of mud and lava which raged towards their target mercilessly like a white water rapid ready to knock down and consume it's victim with it's rushing strength and quickness.
User Image Zin smiled from his gaped mouth which slowly closed when the plume of smoke vanished his target within. He had bet that Shinji thought Zin was going to go heads up with him in a swordsmen battle. Though that would've been an interesting dispute, Zin couldn't help but notice that through natural power of the weapons, Shinji would've won the battle from the sheer size of his sword. Speed can only help so much when it comes to going up against raw strength that ,from this battle alone, the Naga could testify the power Shinji held was enough. In which, Zin believed it to be a good thing that he took to the skies and put up a different attack to try and damage the insides and work the stamina and strain the insides of this Genin from Iwa.
As Zin started to descend he narrowed his eyes as he saw Shinji had vanished. He was quite sure he didn't jump out of either sides of his attack, as Zin was quite sure he would've seen him, or at least his snakes would, but as the smoke disappeared he noticed what was done... Ahh... Military Movement. Of course... I just hope he took in a little parting gift as he said the incantation. The child thought as he landed on the barren land only to turn around when he heard Shinji's voice swaying a very familiar technique. The bad thing about military movement is defending it when you don't have a Dojutsu or something of that manner to defend against it. Doryu Taiga.. The mud river technique... Can wipe away opponents by creating a river of mud but... The child blinked as the technique seemed overpowered; in fact it looked tremendously powerful as it not only produced the river of earth but also gave claim to some of the lava that surrounded the area. The child looked at the river with a smile; despite the current situation as he rather couldn't dodge it with the timing that it was initiated once he landed; 'tis the weakness of going aerial. Zin hissed to Nagi and his snake to leave him but they in fact coiled tighter around their master. He giggled and nodded,"Good show Shinji-san... You actually will be my guinea pig." He hissed softly as the river finally hit the child full on; accepting the fate and pain he'd receive to enable him to draw out the darkness that would soon rise once again.
The pain Zin felt couldn't possibly be explained in words. Not only was Zin knocked back by from the force of the hit but the child was also burnt from the lava that was laced into the technique. As the force of hitting the ground injured Zin it was nothing compared to the burns he felt eating away at his corpse; it was only by the helpings of Shukuchi did the boy keep his consciousness. The child hissed in pain as he staggered onto his feet, built by sheer adrenaline and anger while the prince yanked off his father's inflamed kimono. When the affects of the technique wore off, Zin looked quite in a wreck as,oddly enough Nagi and the other snake seemed quite fine. It seemed the child showed a rare moment of compassion for the snakes of his clan and used his body as a shield to protect them. They hissed loudly to Zin who seemed to be standing in one spot swaying from side to side; as if he was at the brink of fainting yet the pride of his Clan kept him up. The pride of being the son of the greatest Sannin kept him from falling. The pride of his family that watched him, eager to see his victory kept the child from admitting defeat even when his body screamed no more. Which, it indeed should with how badly it looked at the moment. Body sizzling and rather constantly fuming from the horrendous burns as skin seemed melted on various parts of the pale child's upper corpse and some upon his lower body. Some portions of skin just lightly hung off the small child's frame which was only held together by Zin's blood that seemed more like a form of paste to hold it together. His pants were burned and shredded beyond comparison as they covered enough to keep the child rather decent but definitely gave the look of them being sent through a shredder. From here, Shinji would see what possibly caused his jaw to break as the boy's weights that clung to his arms and ankles would be quite visibly seen. Possibly showing how such a small boy was able to produce such power but... then again, Zin hadn't released the power... at least not yet.
Finally Zin stumbled to his side as he stabbed 'Amaterasu', which had a reddish tinge to the once pearly white blade, to keep him up. Ever since the attack subsided, the boy's face had been looking down, covered in a veil of steaming hair, while his serpents continued to get a response from their master who seemed to not be at 'earth' at the moment. But, once one of the snakes saw the proctor taking notice of Zin's shape and started to stand, Nagi hissed the information to Zin who finally snapped out of his unconscious daze which was produced by the backlash of utilizing Shukuchi and taking a heavy blow like he did. Pushing himself back to his feet, blinked at the pool of dried or rather cooked, blood that surrounded his little feet,"Be proud... Shin... ji." The boy hissed as he started to raise his head to show a devilish face. The half the skin around Zin's right eye was burned hideously, and from the way the child stared so menacingly at Shinji from underneath that veil of black hair, it would almost seem the child was possessed with something that shouldn't be walking the earth." I had wanted... To use this move against those wretched wanna-be 'Sound Ninja.' But it seems you... will be the first to witness it." He spoke as his fangs were at full length at this point. The fangs from the upper jaw protruded all the way down until it seemed to lightly hover just above the child's chin, while Zin's lower jaw which was drenched in a mixture of blood and black toxic, protruded just over the child's lower lip. Making him seem even more snake like than before and those eyes filled with hate and the intent those slim slits held weren't too hard to figure out. Zin looked to the proctor that seemed to be debating on stopping the match as he made the decision for him,"Touch me... And I'll f~ck you up." The boy said quite boldly despite his condition and ranking. At this moment Zin's pride was on the line and he wasn't about to be stopped because someone thought he was going to far. They would become food for the the prince's nutrition if he dared take a step in by himself.
Stumbling back a bit Zin sheathed his blade carefully as he hissed,"Kai..."Instantly the weights would fall from the child's limbs as the little Naga's body became rigid as he tensed up. It seemed that unlike the ways of Shukuchi which took an emotionless and deadly approach of fighting, Zin was taking every bit of emotion that he suppressed since his very birth to consume the very soul that had once trapped it. As Zin let out a spine chilling hiss, in which his tongue now even took the physiology of a snake, the words that came after would be the start of a unholy war," Kiri... Demon Gate Opening..." Slowly the aura in the fighting arena would take a change. Like Shinji, Zin's chakra started to become visible in which it turned from a brilliant royal purple to a murky mixture of jet black which outlined his form. The hair on his head started to float lightly like an ominous wind was surrounding the child only to intensify when the last word was spoken,"Anger" With that last, final word, one would say that the gates of the underworld were breaking and those that escaped took this child as their host to wreak havoc.
Killing intent probably would be an understatement of what one would feel after those words were said. It would almost be good they didn't fight in the stadium like the ninja had in the previous years as they'd probably get the flash backs of Orochimaru's presence emitting from his spawn. Zin seemed to be emitting something darker, something quite heinous from him. As if years of pure hate, anger, rage, sadness, betrayal, and anything that was negative in which was suppressed was now being released all in one go. Zin giggled, where that voice would be a mixture of his own and something quiet unearthly, as he tilted his head slightly as if looking at Shinji for the first time while his fangs constantly dripped of the same poison but at this moment they were purely black. Showing that this transformation seemed to have further increased the toxic the Naga Prince could produce. "La...st... Rou... nd."Zin hissed as picked up one of the sixty-five pound weights quite effortlessly and started to walk forwards for a couple of steps, which lead into a jog,then into a sprint before Zin leaned forwards making a single hop onto his foot which then launched him into a blistering run. The boy's speed had increased tremendously along with his transformation. With his weights off, Zin was already lightly breaching the speeds of a speed ninja though of course they were still faster. But at this point, Zin was once more exhibiting speeds nearly beyond his rank but not quite; it would be better noted that he was rasping at the door of what a Chuunin should be. The distance would close between them in little seconds from the boy's transformation and how he trained his body, as he launched the weight at Shinji with magnificent force. Zin's eyes would stare devilishly at Shinji,daring him to look into those eyes that burned with malicious intent in which they'd flash if indeed he did look into them, while his opposite hand pulled back making a fist. Using the speed he gathered plus his new strength augmentation that would be quite tremendous for a Genin, the boy would strike,"GREAT KAI PUNCH!!!!"He hissed animalistically as his entire forearm would be encased in the murky black and purple chakra in which it was pistoned at Shinji's solar-plexus; hoping to tear his insides apart and provide a deathly rupture if the strike proceeded perfectly.
Konaga Shinji
| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin |
Shinji watched his technique wash over and consume his opponent with an unwavering expression of determination on his face. He could feel whatever it was he had breathed in starting to affect him as he coughed several times, his breathe feeling somewhat labored by the toxic fumes he had inhaled. His body was fighting hard against whatever the invader poison sought to do as Shinji felt violent surges of concentrated chakra within his body all around. He didn't know it for sure, but with each intense surge of pain, which felt like a sword was driven through the affected area, he assumed it was his bloodline chakra purging the poison from his body violently by overwhelming it. In each instance, he felt a twitch of the muscle in the affected area as he felt it struggle to operate.
"Can't tell what's worse here, the poison, or my body's reaction to it." still, a sense of satisfaction came to him as he released the seal of his technique, watching his foe thrown around, bruised and burned by the rushing torrent of magma and mud until it's wake finally subsided, leaving a path of mud and magma behind on the surface, with the boy badly injured from taking the brunt of it all. Looking on, Shinji didn't know if the boy would be able to keep going, which was only confirmed as he saw the Jounin proctor get up from his seat. The boy's flesh was mangled in many places and some of his clothign cleared away, enabling Shinji to see the weights around his limbs... "Hmmmph... another one, just like David. What is with all these people carrying weights around?... such an old and overused tactic. I guess that explains the extra strength behind the attack though."
Just as he thought the proctor might move in to stop the fight however, Shinji turned to see his marred opponent suddenly rise and begin speaking. Taking the threat with a bit of a confusion, Shinji wasted no time in moving into a more defensive position, his body flaring with pain as his adrenaline rush for the moment had washed away with the lull in combat. he felt his hand twitch and become sluggish for a second, his legs, feeling slightly heavier then normal as his bloodline chakra raged within him, consuming him with a fury to rid itself of the poison within as Shinji could only stand, wince and bear the pain which consumed him. His body would endure though as he focused his mind on watching his opponent rather then on his body's internal struggle.
As Zin rose up, he could see the boy's chakra begin to spike much like his own would in an augmentation, but this was different as he felt a wave of pressure fill the area. The boy's aura deepened in color from purple to jet black, growing by the second as the feeling of intensified chakra flew out from him with an undeniable taste of evil behind it. Shinji soon understood what the boy had been referring to earlier in their fight as he felt the chakra wash over him, the evil of the boy flashing images of poisoned vipers and pain through his mind. Another ninja might have been affected by that alone, but Shinji bore it with no ill-effect. His chakra level was still, in essence higher then the child's and his mind would not be so easily overtaken by currents of evil as his body raged with pain.
He could feel it though... it wasn't just pain... it was pure, unadulterated hatred, rage, sadness, betrayal... many things which had once plagued Shinji, but things which he had resolved and cast away long ago. this boy however kept it, and it was empowering him with a dark essence. More aware of the danger such a release could bring, Shinji readied himself for anything, holding his defensive pose as his adrenaline began to surge again. As the weights dropped, Shinji was ready fro anything as he saw the boy pick one up... his aura now completely wrapped around him as he began his charge. He watched as the boy picked up speed, noting his quickness had already been heightened... and then heightened even again. had Shinji the time, he would have marveled at the boy's endurance and ability to perform after having suffered such a blow from his modified Doryuu Taiga... but as it was, he had very little time to react.
Intent on stopping his opponent's forward maneuver, Shinji quickly weaved a series of hand seals as his opponent gained footing towards him, managing to strike the ground with his hands just as the weighted projectile was thrown..."Doton: Ohitsuji Kashira". In instant response, the ground in front of Shinji rose up into a 5 foot thick and tall domed earthen barrier to protect him. As expected, he heard the weight bounce off of the barrier's solid defense, but Zin's attack would not be stopped. With almost no warning, Shinji's barrier was crushed, the boy's shrill hiss ringing in his ears as he saw the boy's chakra coated arm cut through and obliterate his defense, aiming directly for his chest. Only instinct could kick in at this point as Shinji crossed his arms across his chest to protect himself, his legs having failed him as the poison locked his movement with a painful surge of chakra from his own body, allowing him only to brandish the artifact bracers as his guard. Even an indestructible object does not stop momentum however, and though his wrists would not be instantly crushed by the attack, his body was still sent flying backwards through the air.
His arms having been pushed into his chest, even Shinji felt the weight behind the attack as pain radiated out from his chest as if he had been struck by a boulder point blank. Instantly send skyward, the world seemed to move in slow motion before he landed harshly against the earth, his bones shifting, muscles flexing, and skin tearing as it skid against the earth, bouncing him at odd angles, as dirt, rock and flame kicked up. As if things weren't bad enough a jet of fire rose up at him just as he began to claw at the ground, catching part of his arm as he felt searing pain in across his right elbow, part of his skin melting away, to reveal a bloodied burn patch beneath. With one final bounce and skid on the earth, combined with a final flip of his body, as his bloodied and ravaged fingers clawed at the earth, Shinji's momentum finally ceased, but his determination and drive was far from defeated.
Instantly bringing his elbow up, Shinji pushed through it all, his body screaming, his limbs on fire as he stood through the haze of pain, his hair messed and disturbed, partially covering one eye. Everything was a haze in fact, even his own body. Sound itself was almost unregistered at the moment following the attack as every muscle, bone and instinct of his body ached and attempted to tell him to stop. He rose up in defiance of it all however as his hand met the ground firmly, his skin not even registering the burn he received by touching the heated surface as his muscles tensed, forcibly lifting him, his eyes focusing from multiple images to one as his Shinji brought himself to his feet in a staggering display of endurance through the pain of suffering such a blow.
Forcing his arms to move through their injuries, Shinji formed a series of hand seals as he gathered his chakra to him, the debris of mangled rock and dust rising up around him as it began to flow together into a shape. "Doton: Shuriken no Jutsu" The rock and debris molded together instantly in the air to form many small medium sized shuriken, but then, surprisingly all fragments joined together in Shinji's hand, interlocking and merging to form a single, large Stone Windmill Shuriken. Shinji immediately hurled the object at his incoming opponent with some difficulty as his arm still felt sluggish and weak, but he managed to stabilize and push it's very movement through the air via the chakra interlaced into the stone which governed the technique, causing it to spin rapidly in the air and race menacingly towards his opponent. What came next, Shinji would have no idea, but the shuriken would hopefully throw his opponent off balance at least slightly with the danger the sharp and heavy device posed to Zin, giving him extra time to respond to his opponent's move.
User Image Narrowed his eyes as he saw more hand signs being put up as the his metal chakra weights were slung through the air. He heard the rather unbreakable thud of his weight smacking against mother-earth's crevice which was produced after it had been called and manipulated by Shinji,"Too late!!!"The child screamed venomously in that fluctuated voice of inherited evil in which he threw his chakra coated fist to break and annihilate the walls that hid his opponent. The child wasn't going to give him the time to continue those blasted ninjutsu's that caused him so much pain; in which luckily for Shinji he didn't look in Zin's eyes to share the pain the boy bore proudly.
As Shinji was sent backwards the barraging child didn't take a second to gloat in his victory. Almost like a snake in some of the movies that portray animals going wild, the child charged after his prey with vicious aggression. Each bounce of Shinji's body hitting the ground was another foot in distance in which the child was rapidly closing in. Even after witnessing his own opponent feeling the taste of lava scorch his skin, the child continued forwards as he knew his opponent would tough it out; leaving him distance was the least Zin wanted. Right now, it seemed like a battle of adrenaline in which they would see who's would tap out first. Much to his disgust, Zin saw Shinji pulling through and even managing to put up another ninjutsu as the child slowed down sightly so that he would focus and heard the preparation for the technique.
Doton:Shuriken? Hai... I know that technique but... Hmph... As expected of this Shinji. Zin noticed that instead of making the move send a barrage of stone shuriken at him, Zin was now about to be barraged with a large Fuma Stone shuriken; or so it seemed as the particles of earth started to collect. The child immediately switched directions and headed to the oblique right as the move was being prepared by Shinji, while his own hand's blistered through hand-seals to quickly proved a counter strategy,"Tsuchi Bushin no Jutsu!!" The child hissed out as ,from the very lava mud that Shinji created, started to form copy Zin's who were forming at his side. It was time to bring a little trick up his sleeve whilst using one of his father's favored techniques.
Snapping his fingers to the snake parallel to Nagi, the snake dipped it's head down and opened it's mouth as it would seem like it was regurgitating something. Pulling out two of those red-outlined 'things', Zin stuffed them into the clones while they were being created in which he pointed to Shinji as they nodded. Slowly they created a formation in which the two clones took the front while Zin sprinted in the back; the clones oddly would be 'hissing' but not in the manner that a serpent would make. As the large shuriken was made and thrown, the first clone took the bulk of the attack by launching itself into the air to 'catch' the Shuriken as the second Clone took flight soon afterwords.
Why would Zin send his clone on this foolish suicide mission, well the clues would tell why as when the Shuriken got close to the clone it exploded hopefully negating the structure of the over-sized earthen weapon while the second clone was launched to try and tackle Shinji. Unfortunately, it too met a fast demise as the hole that burned his opponent's arm. Once more did the enviromental anger against the contestants release and bring the contestants misery as the clone was fasted with the heated blast of magma. It too exploded but was dimened tremendously in which it would probably just shower Shinji with some inflamed muddy fragments which would land a couple of feet around him. Luckily for Zin, the serpent prince utilized these seemingly ignorant distractions in a hopeful advantage as it gave him all the time he needed to put another power prone strike against Shinji.
From the mist of all the explosions, the real Zin in all his speed and glory would have prompted his strike to hit Shinji with by tilting the last foot,which would be his left, to the ground and launch himself forwards spinning with all his might; hoping that with striking with his dominant leg the power and accuracy of the strike would increase tenfold as well as coming out of nowhere with this tremendous blow. Using those hips, the child would hopefully appear out of the mist of the explosions to surprise Shinji with a kick of great magnitude known to the Leaf Village as 'Konoha Dai Senkou' or to others as the 'Leaf Herculean Whirlwind' in which he aimed it right for the side of Shinji's jaw and give it another smack fierce smack if not stronger. If the strike succeeded Zin would try to aim his powerful opponent straight into the next crater that was starting to steam, and from his experience in fighting in this area, gave him enough probable cause to know that it was about to explode soon. If he timed it right, he'd send Shinji straight into the crater in which it would explode.
But the child always had a back up plan. His opponent had pushed Zin to reveal his most devastating technique that he derived and created from the Eight Gates, and knew it would be haphazard to attack Shinji without said back up plan. If Shinji happened to move back, Zin would simply use the momentum of the highly powered kick to turn into a jumping back kick which would probably send Shinji back a couple of more feet but truly nothing in comparison to the distance he pushed him when he struck with his 'Great Kai Punch'. Zin also had another direction covered which was if Shinji moved to the right. The child would no only attempt to continue spinning and utilize a back fist to crack at Shinji's temple, but also would utilize the torque to perform 'Konoha Daisenpu.' An attack he was sure to cover Shinji if dodged to the right and/or ducked. The only side the child admittedly wouldn't be able to cover is the left but since Zin was kicking from the right to the left, would Shinji really want to jump to that side; especially with him not coming head on, but also at an angle.
Konaga Shinji
| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin |
Even as Shinji released the shuriken, he quickly lost control of the weapon as his right arm experienced a severe spasm, quickly followed up by an immense shooting pain in the same area, which felt as if it were burning a hole in his arm to purge whatever toxin had invaded. As Zin was countering the shuriken, Shinji was feeling more and more sluggish. More and more of his muscles were experiencing spasms and twitches, followed by more intense shooting pains. They were coming faster too and across a wider range of his body, from his arms to his legs, creating a fair amount of fatigue which was slowing him down.
By the time the clones had exploded due to one means or another, Shinji was panting as his body struggled to fight against whatever was invading it, leaving him in a precarious situation. His eyes darted around for his opponent in the wake of the falling piles of mud and magma which flew around him, but it wasn't until the very last second when the corner of his eye caught the young ninja, emerging from the smoke of the explosion to deliver a kick towards his temple. His muscles not responding or moving near quick enough to counter the boy's natural speed, let alone his enhanced speed from whatever this aura was, Shinji was only barely able to duck underneath the attack... though it was more like falling as he moved into a roll, carrying him forward and away from the boy.
Zin continued to twirl like a whirling tornado towards him though, the combination Dai Senkou into the Daisenpou paying off as Shinji came to a crouched position, only to look up and see a foot flying towards his temple once again. One hand was all he could muster to the kick as he was able to absorb some of the blow through the bracers, but with his extend arm pushed out of the way, his face was hit by the spinning kick, sending him flying another 5 feet away back onto the burning hot ground. By now, time almost seemed to start slowing down as his body began to give up on simply purging the toxin one place at a time. Even with a large gash across his face, a nearly dislocated jaw, burns, bruises and exposed wounds all over his body, he wasn't registering anything beside his bloodline's internal struggle versus the toxin.
However, as he laid on the ground, his world only a haze of pain, his body had finally come to it's solution. Instead of attacking each instance of the toxin individually and purging it in the affected area, his chakra suddenly let out a wide burst across Shinji's entire body. A groan of agony came from Shinji like a wounded but defensive animal, as he let loose a uncharacteristic scream as his body intensified his bloodline chakra across his body. words could not describe the pain, though one might imagine that it might be akin to being run through by swords at every inch of your body simultaneously and then twisting each blade before removing it.
At the end, Shinji then felt a release as his world returned to him... the haze of the plaguing toxin being purged from his body as he was awakened to his surroundings once more. The pain was still there as it always had been, but now it was not nearly as intense as before. With the haze lifted, Shinji was returned to his regular state of awareness, but stayed on the ground as he was, allowing his hair, wet with sweat... some of the normally white locks stained red from his blood hanging down in front of his face, hiding the strange grin he wore. His arms pulsated with pain and his chest was radiating waves of agony like the ripple effect of water hitting a pond. His body was tired, but he would not stop here. Strangely enough though, he didn't move... or maybe he felt like he couldn't just yet. Shinji had only propped himself up enough to let the proctor know the fight was still on as his slow breaths continued to betray his weakened condition. But a Konaga's body was strong; Forced to endure a life of pain, when failure to do so meant death. Shinji could still move, but he was waiting... using the briefest of moments he could to rest and develop a plan of attack.
User Image Zin had hoped that his poison was being greatly put into affect and it indeed was! The child had built a tree, or a diagram, of Shinji's powers and was starting to figure him out through this fight alone. Seeing as he wanted to know his opponent and this fight taught him a lot; even though it came all too late into the fight for him to do anything about it.
Shinji's chakra... seemed to be his gift and his curse. It seemed that every time he used an immense amount of it his body went through it's own personal hell as if to make him 'pay' for utilizing it's power. Also, like Zin, his body seemed to numb out pain although Shinji could to a further extent. The child numbed it out through the ways of Shukuchi while Shinji and his abilities seemed to wreck his body to such an extent that outside pain is nullified to some degree. The last thing Zin noticed was Shinji's body, when it came to outside sources plaguing it didn't react very well. Shinji wasn't nearly as... well sluggish until Zin poisoned him nor did he seem that much in pain; outside of his broken jaw of course. The child had to assume that he was somewhat like him, as the Naga toxin would negate any other type of poison because of it's extreme potency. This was only speculation and he couldn't really confirm much of it as in the heat of his battle the tides and turn in matter of seconds. This was truly a battle Zin enjoyed fighting because the similarities of his opponent and himself were quite astounding.
As Zin's attack proceeded he was quite surprised that Shinji managed to produce a good shoulder roll in his condition, but thankfully for his back up plan attack, the strike continued and went through even though weaker than he had wished. Upon landing on the ground, Zin panted out hard as the demon Naga hissed at his continuously stubborn opponent. He just wouldn't go down and stay down but then again Shinji could possibly say the same thing for him who pushed himself to the limit to bring Shinji down. Pale torso now having various spots of torn skin, dry blood, and burnt marks that became wet again from the boys sweat making the pain of the salt burn his open wounds but nothing burned more than his darkened heart. He wasn't going to give up! But just as Zin took a step towards Shinji, he clambered about nearly falling on his knee's as a pain of spiked through his entire body like all of the nerves in his body popped at one time. Almost like a cold knife had pierced his heart, Zin clutched over the right of his chest as his heart beat started to get irregular. The child cried in that un-human cry that sounded more like an hiss/roar as he staggered back a bit spitting out more toxic and blood from his mouth. The regurgitation of blood and poison stripped his throat and voice as his breathing became raspy; was if he was holding onto life by a whim. Though he was clearly far from death but bodily exhaustion definitely was the culprit.
I've reached my limit... If anything... This would be the last attack. I won't be able to perform it at the highest level that I wish but... at least it will be strong enough to hopefully take him out. As the boy gathered himself back together he tried to calm his harsh and ragged pants and stood up in a standing Battojutsu stance with his right foot raised to his toe. Nagi looked to his master who still in his rage and fiery adrenaline was going to perform a technique that required a completely emotionless aura but it seemed he had no choice at this moment. Nag hissed to the other snake who nodded and as their coils tightened over the child's arms as Zin began to bounce on his right toe. They would stay by their master until the end as he gave up his body to protect them even though they'd willingly give up their lives to save their master.
Gii-sama... Onto-sama... Please forgive my failure should I loose this match. This opponent... is something I've never witnessed before. I have yet to read about his clan, bloodline, or maybe he's simply special. Either way... he was not a push over opponent as it should be for a semi-final match. Humanistically speaking, his powers are something that should match up to a Bijuu and yet he is a mere mortal. Tch... and you call me Demi. If that is so... I have yet to awaken that power. Zin narrowed his eyes as his foot started to get a little faster and the chakra concentrated around his legs in a higher pace, Regardless of the outcome of this fight, I fought with ever fiber of my being. I fought an astounding opponent... despite his heart that radiates of good, I will respect him. Even so... One day even he shall bow to the name of Zin Naga, like my father before me who reigned over this miserable world with an iron thumb. My uncle before me who was a legend of his time... And even you Gii-sama... and your powers that match that of the God's... before all for them. All shall bow to my name!! ZIN 'Tojiro' NAGA!!! With that Zin let out another fiendish hiss as he pushed everything he had into his legs and did a little skip from his right foot to his left and shot forwards.
The technique Zin was using was Shukuchi in which it 'wouldn't' be dangerous if it was done by anyone else that didn't know how to control their emotions. Truly, the most dangerous aspect of Shukuchi is being so emotionless that the very attack is unknown to the opponent until a split second; in which during that second people surely die for they do not know which direction the attack comes. But, Zin was charging at Shinji with full on rage. The deathly aura that excreted from the child would be like a putrid smell, as the boy's augmentations would make his speed disastrous. To Shinji, the Zin would be 'invisible' in which all that would be seen in this single 'bolt-like' movement piecing and splitting the ground apart like a knife to a block of butter. To any high ranking ninja slightly above Chuunin would be able to see Zin quite perfectly though obviously in a blur unless they possessed an experienced dojutsu or even better were swordsmen themselves. The child's speed, at this moment, came from the stacks of power and training he accumulated before and during the fight. Zin's speed and strength rose tremendously after releasing the weights that he bore for month's before the Chuunin Exams. Then the child was firing at Shinji in a weapon style based around speed while being in his inner demon form. It was quite a conundrum indeed for his opponent. The boy, at this ranking would now be breaching the bounds of Special Chuunin for this last and final attack. It was indeed was his last attack as the child would have to face his consequences of utilizing the powers of his 'Demon Gates' soon and if he was going to go down the child was going to attempt to bring Shinji with him.
Making a Z-shaped movement as he blasted towards his opponent, further destroying the battlegrounds the two went to war at, Zin was back in that usual stance while in that speed. Left hand hovering over the blade while his right pressed against the hilt,ready to flick the sword up when the time was right and exhibit that legendary sword draw of old. In fact,Zin would be proud if he lost; his uncle was a swordsmen of an olden style rather lost in times of the Shinobi Wars and he hoped his uncle looked at Zin with pride as he exhibited a Battojutsu that he created. A style that battled against Haseo and even put him and his wondrous style in a bind. The same style that helped him achieve victory against Yamatono who exhibited abilities that Genin dream of! And now, this very same style, boosted to the child's limit was now going against Shinji. All opponents that should be respected beyond regards have taken a hit, one way or another from the 'blessings' of Shukuchi in which this Demi Naga was about to lay down on Shinji.
When Zin would get an inch from his opponent he'd swing with ever thing he had at Shinji's side; not wanting to kill this opponent as he had won Zin's respect beyond all regards. But that didn't mean he was going to give him the victory easily. It all depended on the split second in which Zin would appear, with all his speed, strength and menacing glory to attack Shinji and see if he could battle the powers of Shukuchi! Or at least 'Two Steps Under' it it's true form. It seemed the earth of this place seemed to notice this was the final blow as all around them torrents of lava sprayed into the air to give this final show down a climatic glory; a fight that would probably be spoke for, for years to come!
Shinji's smile only widened as he saw that Zin had seemingly started to come to his limit. Spitting up blood much as Shinji had done several times now, the mere sight of the boy's regurgitated blood and poison made Shinji choke up and spit some out of his own. Still, he remained motionless, conserving his energy for what he would do next. His body was already screaming at him not to go forward, but his legs in comparison to his arms were much stronger at this point of the match as the majority of the fight had taken it's toll on Shinji's upper body, at least in the various ways he had been injured.
"Somehow he's suppressing the pain himself. Not quite sure how, but he's pushing as hard as I am. Impressive to say the least. That technique must drain him though... I doubt he's capable of much more. A pity... this is the best fight I've ever been in. Sure, David brought me closer to dying... but somehow, this is much more satisfying." As the boy seemed lost in thought for a while, the silence was sudden broken as the boy seemed to work himself into a fevered determination. A fiendish hiss followed as it resounded through the air and rang in Shinji's ear. Zin then suddenly vanished as the ground began to split and explode seemingly of it's own device, spreading bits of debris and chakra into the air as it went. It didn't take Shinji long to realize that it was Zin, somehow moving beyond the speed he would consider even a well trained Chuunin could reach.
The mini-explosions from the ground continued, one after the other, possibly betraying Zin's position if it wasn't simply left in the wake of the next explosion, each one appearing almost faster then the two before it had settled. Shinji smiled though, as he thought to himself... "He's giving it his all... this is the last attack indeed. I guess I'll have to respect that with equal resolve." Not knowing when Zin would strike, Shinji didn't want to wait around particularly long to figure it. At the speed Zin was moving, waiting too long would mean death. As if the battleground itself decided to clue him in on when to move, eruptions began to form all around their battle area, possibly due to the beating the surface was taking from Zin's attack and aura of power. "Well, guess that's my cue. Bear with me body. Let's Do This!"
Whether or not Zin would be able to determine this moving at such high speeds, Shinji did not know, but he often saved this technique as his ace in the hole. it wasn't everyday someone simply doubled their speed from a complete stand still at his level, and Shinji normally liked to hide such an ability. As the molten rock began to erupt around him though, Shinji took it as his cue, as the explosions of the ground from his opponent's technique began to draw closer. With a brief flash of silverish chakra off each of his legs, Shinji suddenly vanished from his crouched position bolting off at double his already impressive speed as his image seemingly blurred into nothing as two sets of chakra imprinted explosions began to lace the battle arena, with explosions of rock, dirt and magma firing off over the field. Shinji could barely tell what could be Zin and what couldn't be, but as he moved he began to feel Zin's movements. Focusing in on his chakra and the strangely evil aura it produced, Shinji was able to feel waves of it pass by him, as each passing seemed to incite his own chakra, which seemingly recognized the aura as a relative of the poison it had been infected with.
Shinji knew that this augmentation would only stall for time as it was meant for burst speeds, but it would be all he needed. Using his own chakra to gauge the position of Zin's within his shukuchi and the aura he was radiating during it... he would be able to make a fairly accurate guess as to when the attack would come. The intensity finally began to increase as the waves of pain flooded over him more and more rapidly until finally he felt it, the urge to strike and draw blood... a feeling and intent which he knew very well. Forming hand seals as he ran, Shinji weaved the complex signs waiting for the perfect time when Zin seemed to be coming right at him, each party barely even visible other then the explosive craters they left in the ground around the battlefield. Gather a large amount of chakra to his command, Shinji then waited for the precise moment when the two would clash and then suddenly dropped to the ground early, forcing his palms into the earth... "Doton: Ishi no Yari!"
Immediately, the ground trembled violently him, hopefully tripping up his foe in the process, as his hands hit the ground. Spears of condensed earth, forged underground by the sudden injection of chakra then suddenly shot up out of the ground in an are surrounding Shinji in a radius of about 10 feet around him. Littered amongst the hardened earth spikes, spikes of hardened magma joined them as the entire area became littered with sharpened skewering rock which shot up like thick, unyielding porcupines quills. The spikes were in fact so close to him on many sides that he felt several even graze his own skin... or at least that's what he thought the flow of blood was from... the pain of his body however, would not fully allow him to know, as it was already raging in response to his augmentations, making him somewhat dead to anything that might have touched his body.
