...because you don't approve of these so-called vampires sparkling?
I was actually told that it I can't say anything nice about Twilight to not say anything at all...then told that my insults were in bad taste. WTF. How is my opinion that Twilight sucks in bad taste? It's my freakin opinion.
NOTE: This was a 59 year old woman! (who probably never let her children touch anything having to do with vampires in the past, because that stuff was for "freaks").

Heh, I had a very rabid fangirl attack me almost a year ago with eerily similar accusations. When I told her Twilight was just a poor rendition of Romeo and Juliet which in itself was a dull, unrealistic, and very uncreative story she insisted I was 'out of touch' and that I had 'poor taste' for not liking BOTH stories.
Yes, because if I don't like a whiny teenaged harlequin whose original version is older than the country I live in I'm certainly 'out of touch'. stare

All the time... especially when pointing out that this 'novel' as they call it, is no more than fiction. I've been nearly killed, but my faith in BBC's awesome programming saved me.

Frankly, I've never gotten close enough to a rabid Twilight fan to have experienced such a thing. I have one friend who's really into it, but she is nowhere near psychotic about it or that several of our group don't like it. She's actually quite bubbly and accepts us and our Twilight hating rants. lol.

I have no problem with Twilight fans...see someone broke it down for me: Twilight fans- Enjoy Twilight, but recognize its flaws and don't believe it is the best thing since sliced bread. They don't mind if someone else doesn't like Twilight. Twilighters- Believe it is the best thing since sliced bread, but realize not everyone likes it and respects it. Twihards- Believe it is the best thing since sliced, and will verbally attack those who don't like it. Twitards- Like Twihards, but they can get physically violent.

I just get death glares whenever I say I don't like Twilight, but yesterday I got chewed out by some eleven year old for saying it sucked. But when the rest of the older girls I was talking to in the dressing room said it was horrible she shut up about it.
I wish they said ridiculous insults at me or stuff like being "out of touch", I feel left out.

I've never had any experiences like that. But I do have a friend who likes Twilight but hates the movies. We like to make fun of them all the time. And we recognize and respect each other's opinions, something those fan girls should start doing if I'm ever going to respect them.

I'm sad she's moving back to Washington(coicidentally, she grew up quite near Forks and La Push and all that). Gonna miss her... sad
Hmm, judging by this scale, I'd say she's hovering somehwere between "Twilight fans" and "Twilighters"
She actually has come to not like Edward and switched to Team Jacob which is alright in my book. (Since the only reason I made it through part of Eclipse was the vain hopes of Jacob and Bella actually getting together), so she definitely sees that there are flaws to the book.
