What like good stories? Bad stories? Strange things that happened? What are you looking for?

I just got back from one and it was a pretty good time. I got an umbrella cane (which is like a sword-cane, except that the umbrella stores the sword, rather than the cane shaft) and for only $35. Almost all of the weapons that I own were purchased at one con or another. I definitely recommend official Gaia panels. As for fan-panels... It depends who runs them, but really, no matter who runs them, I can take it or leave it. The only one that I ever went to was a disaster and I'd consider going again, but only if there's not much else going on. I didn't do as much a I'd like to have at Acen 2010, but it was still a good time. Cons are a lot like Disney world. You spend a lot of time in lines, but it's otherwise a celebration of (usually) good/well-conceived animation.

I've never been to one, because I've never heard of one being held in the city I live in, and while there are some in bigger cities, they're usually much too far away for my parents to let me go. I'd sure like to, at least once, though...they sound awfully fun.

I used to be a regular at A-kon here in Texas as well as Animefest. They were always really fun once I got over my fear of large crowds and just had fun. A-Kon has gotten -so- big now and it's hard the believe it's been going 21 years. Animefest is now held where A-kon used to be so it's getting pretty impressive in size as well. I know a lot of artists online who set up tables there and I always loved getting to talk to them in person about their art. It's always great to see your online friends face-to-face ya know?
I could spend all day in the dealer's room looking through the merchandise available but I think my favorite part has to be the skits/costume contest. People do some hilarious things at them. I'm thinking of trying to get the means to go to Realms Con down in Corpus Cristi because it has a large gaming area as well. Next year I'm going to be vending at these conventions so long as everything goes right selling some prints of my art so I wont get to have as much fun. Oh well. CJ Collins should be there, that alone makes it worth the trip. I love his Kefka.

Will any of my guild-mates (other than Sara) be joining me at Acen, this year? It will be my last one...

I almost went to my first convention this year but sadly Razz's work schedule conflicted with the convention dates. ): Maybe next year.
