With the weather turning for the better, in Ary’s opinion, and her newfound source of pain relievers the melee teacher was finding her mood improving as the days went by. Even her headaches, previously unbearable, were becoming far more tolerable and, consequently, improved her mood a thousand-fold. Of course, whether or not she wished to be outside or somewhere else, the teacher had a job and that was to teach the spawn created at the facility how to fight properly, AKA, defend themselves as she saw fit. Granted, it was often based on their desires and her current attitude, but whatever.
Ella... She had heard of the kid and her sister that had been taken into the facility for a time under mysterious and hushed circumstances. However, not too long ago, both had seemingly gotten new families and left. Now, she was to teach this kid how to fight. That ought to be interesting.
Unbecoming of a teacher that broke the bones of techs when given any sort of attitude, the white-haired female was busy balancing a fairly large, spear-shaped icicle on her fingers. Hey, it was something to do, right?

In her roaming around the labs someone had told her that she had a melee class that she had to attend to and Ella wasn't all to happy to be told what to so. But she was a little excited to learn how to fight as it could be another way to get back at the techs for just being who they were and she hated all of them. So she quickly when to were the class was going to be held and walked outside of the labs. Once outside as it had been sometime since she had been out as she wanted to choose to were she went not the techs.
Walking towards here teacher and spotted that she was balancing a large icicle on her finger that Ella really didn't pay attention to the teach but to the ice as that was very cool. "Nifft," she said as now she looked at her teacher and found that her teacher was female and now hate filled her as she did not like older females and let a little growl out as her wings reflected that feeling, but she still thought that the icicle was very cool and thought she would give her teacher a chance at not being like all the other females that she had known, so she was going to be sorta nice for now. "Hi, I'm Ella and are you my Melee teacher?"

"Teacher is a little strong for what I do. I kick a**, I tell you what you're doing wrong and right, receive and give a couple bruises and call it a day. Call me Ary, Ella. And whatever hate you have for people like me, just so you know, it'll just blind you during your class," Ary replied coolly, instantly sensing the anger and pain from her newest student. Cold, crystal blue eyes peered down at the girl as the spear melted away.
"As I do with all my other classes, this is a melee class. You may get hurt, but it won't be more than a cut or bruise. If it is, it's not my fault. To start off this class, you can either choose a style of fighting or let me pick one. For you, I'd think perhaps something that delivers the maximum amount of pain in as little time as possible," Ary continued, pondering what could reside along those lines without going into torture or something that ended in death. When nothing came to mind she shrugged and cracked her knuckles. "So, anything you have in mind to learn?"

Ella listened to what Ary has to say about her anger being in the way for the class as up to now it had never blinded her to her sorta revenge, but then she hadn't fought anyone before. Ella thought to let her anger just simmer below the surface, but it was her wings that still had the hint of anger as they kept there own watch on Ary in there own way.
"That is fine with me, as I thought as much as well," she replied as she thought 'no pain no gain' to learning in this class and thought a little on what she wanted to learn from this class. "Well I don't have anything in mind and you know what would be best," Ella replied.

Ary sighed. What point was there in giving the kids an option when they just asked for her opinion? Maybe it was time to just do whatever the ******** she pleased... “Alright then. Well, we could try archery, hand to hand combat, knife throwing, swordplay...” Wow, she really liked things involving her hands, huh? She hadn’t really noticed that before. It was probably about time to find a new style of fighting anyways. Maybe kickboxing... “No, wait, archery would take most of the time to set up...” trailing off, Ary’s eyes wandered back to her student in hopes of possibly sparking her interest in something. She already knew fencing was a big no-no and Ella didn’t seem the kind to be into boxing or wrestling anyways.

She listened to what Ary had to say and some options that she had given her. Well archery did sound cool as it was something she didn't know what it was but maybe next time as that didn't seam something that she could do with the techs. All of the other choices did sound fun but she didn't own anything she could use after the class was over, but it was hand to hand combat that sounded the most apealling. "I think that hand to hand combat sounds fun and easier to use against others," she said finally as she could see the techs now running from her much faster with this new skill than they were already.

Ary simply nodded, glad the girl had chosen something. Somehow, she had the vague feeling the new skill wouldn't be, ah, used in defense. Thankfully all her weapons were magically locked to prevent them from being picked.
"Alright, we're going to start with defensive moves as a good offense is only as good as your defense. This is true for everything from major wars to petty street fights. Remember the moves I show you and repeat them and do not forget them,' she explained, moving away from her desk and closer to the empty center of her room. Moving fluidly into a defensive position, she waited for Ella to either mimic her or completely ignore her.

Ella was getting more and more excited as she like learning new things and to be used on techs was an even better deal. "Ok," she said as she watched Ary show her the moves as she did copy them but not a fluidly as Ary, but Ella was happy none the less.

Ary carefully watched Ella mimic her moves well enough to gain her approval. “Good. Now use what I taught you to defend yourself. The real sparring won’t be till later,” Ary explained, taking up a more offensive stance and, upon seeing Ella was ready, throwing a couple of light punches. They lacked a good chunk of power and speed, but the intent to practice defense and attack was still there.

"I can do that," she said as she took up a defensive pose as the best that she could and waited to see what would happen and she did wonder if she could defend herself, but then thought it wouldn't be perfect at once but lots and lots of practice. She was going to make sure that she had lots of practice after this as well even if it was by herself she thought to herself. Then she saw the punches come and did her best do defend herself but a few punches did made it though her defence but didn't mind it one bit the most appleling thing was learning how to attack as that was going to be the most effective thing on the techs.

"Keep blocking until it almost seems to become a habit or reflex. It won't be automatic till you get some good practicing in, but it'll be good enough for this class," Ary commented, skillfully aiming her blows in varying different places on Ella while only rarely going for the same exact place twice. Sure going for the same three places would do the same thing, but in a real fight such a thing would never occur.
