On a very open plateau with grass in every direction lies a single building. This building however isolated is very grand in size. Above it you see electricity running freely from two poles. These poles are very high so that stray electrical currents have no way of harming innocent bystanders. On the the front is a very industrial look like that of mansion mixed with a factory. Above the two giant doors reads in giant letter 'The Static Gym'. Once you enter the gym you see generators running on electricity in corners. Above you is a ceiling of electrical currents with a actual ceiling above. Trainers all around are training electric types and battling. Then In the Middle of the Room in a fancy Battle Arena.

Sleep Clause - The most common and important clause. It means that only one Pokémon aside can be asleep. Pokémon who fell asleep with the most Rest are excluded from this. Also, If you have one Pokémon asleep, and the trait "Effect Spore" activates, and picks sleep, you still fall asleep.
Freeze Clause - Another very important clause, although it isn't mandatory on Smogon. Like sleep clause, it means that only one Pokémon a side can be frozen. And unlike sleep clause, there are no exceptions to this clause
Self-KO Clause - This clause covers two things. First, when your and your opponent have only one Pokémon left, if you use Explosion, or Self-Destruct, you automatically lose. Also, if you use Destiny Bond, with your last Pokémon, and your opponents last Pokémon faints you, you still lose. This clause was made to stop matches from ending in a tie.
Item Clause - 4 or more Pokemon cannot hold the same item in your party (the max is 3) with the exception of the choice items and focus sashes(one each per team) One choice scarf, one choice band ect.
