There are many references in the world of One Piece that are quite obvious (and some not so obvious.) Can you name them? Here are two examples:
The newkama (the trannies) of Impel Down are all a reference to The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Nero, a shortlived member of CP9, is a reference to the Emperor Nero from ancient Rome. they were both cunning and tyrannical.

Franky looks like Jim carry when he played ace ventura
Emporio Ivankov - Tim curry
Usopp- uso means liar and opp is taken from aesopp's fables
crocodile looks like an italian mobster most likely loosley based around from the godfather
and whitbeard/black beard are famous pirates
and that's all i got so far

Whitebeard and Blackbeard share the name of the famous pirate, Edward Teach (Blackbeard)
Whitebeard got the Edward and Blackbeard got the Teach

here's another one...
Ohm, one of the high priests of enel(whose df is electricity based)is named after Georg Ohm who mathematically showed the relationship between resistance, voltage and current in electrical circuits.
