Announcements in the Akatsuki are made via a distorted holographic projection of the leader through the Zero Ring. The holder of the Zero Ring is able to transmit a message to the members through their rings (the rings will glow their respective colors when a message is waiting to be received.) Once the member activates the message, the holographic projection will appear (about 1 foot tall) off of the ring and will deliver the message. This is the primary way the Akatsuki uses to give orders to members out in the field, or to recall all members back to the base.
