I would of messaged this to Nitrox to see if it's possible, but seeing has he's very busy at the moment, I'd rather just ask the leaders of the guild this.

I wanted to know if it's allowed for the apprentice to replace any Pokemon from his/her list possibly for changes regarding balance or a stronger edge against type weakness? Not constant but only if the apprentice wants a change...

If you ask me... and given that I don´t care for a little edit or two...

I would not mind... your teams are still being displayed, enough for a challenger to know what he´s messing with... so sounds fair enough

The current apprentice system is currently being evaluated and future changes to it will hopefully be underway as soon as we possibly can, mainly as a means to make the system a bit more uniform than what it current is. Until v2 of the apprentice system is released, I'm afraid any changes in regards to apprentice teams are being left up to the individual gym leaders. Seeing how finals are close to being over (if not already over for some), hopefully Nitrox will be on in a day or two to address this request of yours.

i hate to be rude but why should there be apprentices for the gym leaders that just mean that there is more (the gym leader) has to worry about than they proably want like me when i get chance if i do when i become a gym leader i am not got to even bother with that mess just do the gym myself smile blaugh

Accepting apprentices is optional for gym leaders (and originally the system had a different reason for existing than what it ultimately became), though most gym leaders do it as a means to give back to others in the guild who share a favorite type as them. If you want to look at it from a more productive view, apprenticing for a gym leader that lets you help defend the gym grants you plenty of practice for if/when someday you become a gym leader yourself. I'm not going to say AriaG needed much practice (or even went away with much more than she already knew) but she originally was an apprentice for the Flying Gym and now holds one of the best Win-Loss records of all the gyms now that she has a gym to call her own.

...And just to add to this, We apprentices hold a very important position by watching over the gym and assisting the leader with management in case said leader is away for a period of time. I'm not saying we're just gonna give you a badge cause the leader is absent (besides, thats not how it works from the get-go), we just make sure you get one distraction out of the way and give you further preparation till the master gets back and go on to the next person in waiting. I recall February was the most active activity the gym had in awhile.

Anyway back on topic... well alright, sounds fair to me. I'll probably just send Master Nitox a PM once I'm done with training my new grass pokemon.

The original idea was for the Apprentices and Gym Leaders to compete for the title of "Best Gym in Gaia" but the support for it didn't exactly stick very well outside this guild.

Of course, the flip side idea was what they have become to be. If I can ever get a stable Apprentice that learns well, I plan of giving him first dips on my Gym Spot when the day comes that I finally move on to something else. But, that is a whole other issue for latter discussion.

Now that right there is an excellent idea. Now that we have eight gym leaders, and if they all stay very active, they should have like competitions every so often, to see who the best apprentice is, and make sure they stay the best, and show them ropes, in case for whatever reason, the gym leader may leave, they can take over and we don't have to go through the process of a tournament, to get new gym leaders.

The only problem with that is that new gym types (such as your Electric) would never be able to gain representation and I can't help but feel that simply passing down the gym to an apprentice would ruin the integrity of the gym league as a whole (no offense to any of the current apprentices).

As far as the whole "Best Gym in Gaia" idea of Luther's, I think this is honestly the first time I'm hearing about that. The idea I remember us discussing was a D/P Gaming event called "Gym Wars", and I don't recall it involving any other guilds.

Look at the opening post of the Gym and scroll down the list to see if they have any. If they don't, kudos to you buddy :p

Gym leaders make sure their apprentices are active. If not then they update the list to let you know said person is NOT active.

Check the individual gym threads. Most gyms that are accepting apprentices will have a post (or section of a post) dedicated to the gym's apprentices. Or you could even check the apprentice application thread or if all else fails, just send a PM and ask the gym leader you want to apprentice under.
