Personality: He is a man with an indifferent outer appearance, but a kind heart. He acts in a manner that usually comes across as mocking to another person (and indeed, sometimes it is). This is in part because of his above-average marks in the Academy, but mostly because of his own pride, which he holds in high regard. Tadashi tends to dislike anyone he does not know until they've proven themselves to be worthy of his respect or friendship. In this way, he is very close-minded, but can be a fiercely loyal friend if one had the patience to interact with him. Tadashi is also quite confrontational; if he has a problem with someone, subtlety gives way to brash anger and brutal truthfulness. However, he knows his place as far as rank is concerned, and does not press his issues on those who hold authority over him. He prefers working alone or at the very least leading a group in any of his assignments against groups of Hollows.
Bio: Born in the 1700's into a fine family in Seireitei, he never experienced the misery of poverty or hardship that so many others dealt with. His family lacked the wealth that the greater houses enjoyed, and its standing in society declined over the years, but despite this the family lived on in moderate comfort. Eventually, Tadashi was discovered to be different from his siblings when he was found to eat more than the average person in the Soul Society. Already knowing what this meant, his father (who'd already sent one of his sons to the employ of the Gotei 13), confronted Tadashi at a young age and told him he had the makings of a Soul Reaper. Delighted, Tadashi made his way to the Academy and found himself to be adept in Kido and skilled with the sword, though his Shikai was still a ways off. Though not particularly strong physically, his lithe form was agile enough to make up for it. When he'd graduated from the Academy, he knew he had the potential to be a Captain in time, and his ambition was born from this confident belief.

Tenma (天魔, demon): A regular katana with a dark illusionary alignment.

  • Spirit: A demon of the night wrapped in bandages, always with its weapons of choice - the claw and crossbow - in hand. Despite being a cynical and sadistic figure, Tenma surprisingly establishes a close connection with his wielder. This is a result of his belief that the weapon is the most loyal companion to the master, and vice-versa. He often makes comments based on Tadashi's thoughts that are geared either to correct his thinking or to agitate him. Behind his bandaged head also lies wisdom derived from the cunning of an assassin, the logic of a killer.


  • Shikai: It is triggered by the command Baza Shinku No (バザ真紅の, bathe in crimson). Upon release, the katana shifts form, becoming a claw attached to the sword hand. (five blades instead of four)
    • Shikai Special Ability: When using Shikai, Tadashi can confuse and overwhelm the opponent to the extent that he can fill the prerequisites of his abilities' activation. Battling under the moon strenghtens Tenma's power (Zanjutsu) by 1.
      • Ketsueki Sakushi (血液錯視, blood illusion): Should one of Tadashi's claws draw blood, they gain the ability to cause hallucinations in the victim. The ability to do so wears off after 3 of the user's posts. The hallucinations will distort sight and hearing, varying from victim to victim, and lasts for up to 2 of the victim's posts.
      • Kage no Sōsa (影の操作, manipulation of shadows) In places where shadows are cast, Tenma can shift them as its master pleases, adding depth or making them longer, for the purpose of confusing an opponent.
      • Getsumen Sokudo no Akuma (月面速度の悪魔, lunar speed demon) At night, due to the moon's effect upon his Zanpakutō, Tadashi’s Agility Stat is increased by 1 (on top of using Shikai). Ketsueki Sakushi's ability to cause hallucinations is extended by 1 post.
      • Kage Ketsugō (影結合, shadow binding)The middle blade extends, forming a whip-like tentacle that he can wield with surprising skill. If a victim is struck by it, they are bound to space, similar to a Bakudō. This effect lasts for up to 3 of the user's posts, unless if broken due to high reiatsu. In Bankai, each blade of Tenma can produce one of the binding shadow tentacles that the Shikai makes. Four of them are significantly weaker than the middle one, which is slightly stronger than in Shikai.

    Night Effect
    Upon obtaining Bankai, Tenma lifts the restriction of its powers in Shikai when it is daytime. However, Tadashi will find himself grow more tired using the full powers in daytime, whch was part of the reason why the restriction was placed in the first place. Also, a Bankai at night or whenever the moon is out greatly boosts Tenma's power, adding one post to each abilities effect and strenghtening Ketsueki Sakushi's potency. More significantly, an even greater speed boost is given. A Bankai in daytime, however, will greatly tire out Tadashi both because he is new to Bankai and because the daytime restriction on powers is lifted (though he can replace the restriction if he wants).
    Buki Suitchi (武器スイッチ, Weapon Switch)
    Only available for use when Tadashi has Bankai attained already, he can replace Tenma's claw form with the crossbow form that comes with the Bankai. However, Kido will not be amplified as highly as it is in Bankai by utilizing the crossbow. Alternatively, Tadashi can also switch either weapon to the opposite hand. For example, if Tadashi has the claw out on his right hand, he can switch the claw to the left.

  • Bankai: Kurimuzonmūnraito Nyūyoku Tenma (クリムゾン月光は鬼を浴びて, Crimson Moonlight Bathed Demon) An ethereal crossbow appears in the off-hand, looking as if made of shadow. The claw's 2nd and 4th blades (left to right) extend past the others, ending up to be twice the length of the middle one. In addition, Tadashi is now covered in a black cloak, giving him an ominous appearance.
    • Bankai Special Ability: When using Bankai, Tadashi retains and for the most part greatly strengthens his abilities from Shikai. The crossbow is used as a weapon to strenghten his Kido.
      • Getsumen supīdomasutā (月面スピードマスター, lunar speed master ): At night, due to the moon's effect upon his Zanpakutō, Tadashi receives an enormous agility enhancement (for a total of 4 points after apply the Shikai boost), Dashing is done with great ease, and his Shunpo is maximized to the highest level.
      • Jiko no Kage no Sōsa (自己の影の操作 , manipulation of self shadow): A powered up version of this technique in Shikai. Tadashi's shadow can be brought to life and act on its own, its sword given substance from the Reishi of its master. It is not as strong as Tadashi, nor can it cast Kidō, but it can meld into the ground and strike from below an opponent.
      • Supīdo no Kōjō (スピードの向上, enhanced speed): Without the aid of the moon, Tadashi’s speed is enhanced up to the point where his ability to use Shunpo is heightened by 3.
      • Kido Zōfuku (木戸増幅, kido amplification): By utilizing the crossbow, Tadashi's Kido skills are bolstered to a frighteningly high level (by 2 points). The speed at which the strenghtened Hado or Bakudo moves is also substantial. This effect is in place with or without the moon's aid. Also, by default, the crossbow can fire Tadashi's spirit energy. This particular technique somewhat resembles a Quincy's ability.

•Shadōburēdo Kakuchō (シャドーブレード拡張, Shadow Blade Extension)
Tenma's claw blades are extended by shadow-like blades to further their range. The 2nd and 4th blades grow longer still (as they are already long when Bankai is used). The other three blades are about the size of regular swords. Not only is range increased - at night, the blades themselves are difficult to see. Even in day, dark places offer opportune times to use this technique to surprise the opponent. The drawback is that the claw becomes slightly heavier, and Ketsueki Sakushi can not be initiated if blood is only present on the shadow extension itself. The blades also offer a bonus in there piercing capability - they can damage hierro up to 11/10 and also works well against Shinigami armor as well.
•Buki Jokyo (武器除去, Weapon Removal)
Tadashi can remove the crossbow for whatever reason he sees fit. However, the claw cannot be removed.
•Sunaipāai (スナイパーアイ, Sniper Eye)
Tadashi can form a lens over either of his eyes that magnifies or demagnifies his view according to his will. The move is useful when using the crossbow, and it can be taken on or off at any time (hands-free, of course). However, it doesn't come with night vision, so he'll have to rely on his senses to find the target if its dark.

Skills and Techniques

  • Air Walk: The ability of a Shinigami to walk through the air by focusing Reishi into a small platform to walk upon.
  • Dashing: A most basic technique that allows the user to throw him/herself to a certain direction using a certain angle of which way the the stance is directed and executed. Based on an individual's atributes, dashing can be quite a moderately fast move instead of running. Also depending on the distance, dashing can be quite useful if in closer range to the opponent.
  • Shunpo: This demon art corresponds to a "haste" or "boost" skill, allowing a shinigami to move his or her body within a certain distance at super-speed. It is speculated that this art works in combination with foot combat, hohō.


Enhanced Speed:
Tadashi specializes in quick and sporadic movements that often are accompanied by masterful shunpo.

Kido Expert:
Tadash is just a step below mastery of Kido, unable to perform level 90 or above. He can, however, chain high-level Kido with relative ease in Bankai and with some difficulty in Shikai.

Blank State:
Having had much emotional stress in his life, Tadashi eventually confronted it all in his mind and gained dominance over his emotions - most of the time. In battle, he uses this skill to turn his mind into a blank slate and tune out all unecessary things around him. Basically, he turns himself into a logic robot with intense focus, allowing him to react in a more efficient manner than with his emotions.

  • Hadō #1: Shō (衝, Thrust)

    Description
    Pushes the target away from the caster.

  • Hadō #4: Byakurai (白雷, White Lightning)

    Description
    Fires a concentrated bolt of lightning from the caster's forefinger.

    Hadō #11: Tsuzuri Raiden (縛られた電光, Bound Lightning)

    Description
    Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.

    Hadō #30: Ōkasen (黄火閃, Yellow Fire Flash)

    Description
    Fires a wide arc of yellow energy at a target.

    Hadō #31: Shakkahō (赤火砲, Shot of Red Fire)

    Description
    Fires a ball of red Reiryoku at a target.

    Hadō #33: Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down)

    Description
    Fires a burst of blue Reiryoku at a target in a similar manner to #31, but over a wider area and with more power.

    Hadō #54: Haien (廃炎, Abolishing Flames)

    Description
    Fires a blast of purple spiritual energy that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.

    Hadō #58: Tenran (闐嵐, Orchid Sky)

    Description
    A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.

    Hadō #63: Raikōhō (雷吼炮, Thunder Roar Cannon)

    Description
    Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target.

    Hadō #73: Sōren Sōkatsui (双蓮蒼火墜, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)

    Description
    Essentially a doubled version of Hadō #33, this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety.

    Hadō #88: Hiryūgeki Zoku Shinten Raihō (飛竜撃賊震天雷砲, Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon)

    Description
    Fires a gigantic electrical blast of Reiryoku resulting in an truly enormous explosion.

  • Bakudō #1: Sai (塞, Restrain)
    Descritption
    Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.

  • Bakudō #4: Hainawa (這縄, Crawling Rope)
    Description
    An energy rope entangles a target's arms.

  • Bakudō #8: Seki (斥, Repulse)
    Description
    Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it.

  • Bakudō #9: Geki (撃, Strike)
    Description
    Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.


Bakudō #12: Fushibi (伏火, Ambush Flare)
Description
A net formed from an attachment point on the caster, can be small or large depending on the reiatsu force behind it. Has been used before in conjunction with Hadō #31: Shakkahō.

Bakudō #21: Sekienton (赤煙遁, Red Smoke Escape)
Description
Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.

Bakudō #25: Betabetakenwonuku (べたべた剣を抜く, Sticky Draw)

Description
Freezes the sword in the sheath. If not already drawn out, the opponent won't be able to pull the zanpakutou out of the sheath for two posts, depending on the level of the user.

Bakudō #37: Tsuriboshi (吊星, Suspending Star)
Description
Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.

Bakudō #39: Enkosen (円閘扇, Arc Shield)
Description
Summons a shield of condensed Reiryoku to block opponents' attacks.

Bakudō #58: Kakushitsuijaku (摑趾追雀, Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows)
Description
When the caster inscribes a symbol upon the ground, the targets' locations and movements can be identified.

Bakudō #62: Hyapporankan (百歩欄干, Hundred Steps Fence)
Description
A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.

Bakudō #63: Sajō Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes)
Description
Similar to Hainawa, but stronger. This Bakudō pins the target's arms to their side with a thick white chain.

Bakudō #73: Tozanshō (倒山晶, Inverse Mountain Crystal)
Description
Creates an inverted pyramid-shaped barrier around the caster.

Bakudō #75: Gochūtekkan (五柱鉄貫, Quintet of 1 kan Iron Pillars)
Description
Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars to pin a target to the ground

Bakudō #77: Tenteikūra (天挺空羅, Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air)
Description
When the caster inscribes a symbol in the air and chants the incantation, telepathic communication with any or all people that the caster or his/her comrades have encountered is possible.

Bakudō #79: Kuyō Shibari (九曜縛, Nine Sunlight Traps)
Description
Creates eight black holes that emit spiritual energy in the personal space surrounding the target with a ninth black hole manifesting in the center of the target's chest.

Bakudō #81: Danku (斷空, Splitting Void)
Description
Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. According to some information, based on its power, it is capable of stopping destructive spells up to #89.

Nicely done, the only fault that I found was that his last Shikai ability-- the whip Bakudo-like weapon-- does not state how long the binding lasts.

I think I am now though. The --- (---, ---) is my own way of reserving space for a tehcnique name, or just a name. Such that it goes like this Japanese (Kanji, English translation) It's up to you to name your techniques, and also to write a brief synopsis of your Shikai and Bankai abilities where I indicated.

Hayashi Yuki
Shikai Special Ability: While using Shikai, Yuki is granted the ability to control that which flows, meaning wind, water and at times ice by using both of the former. She is also granted the ability to disrupt the flow of Reiryoku to undo certain Kidō and disrupt Hierro if given the proper amount of time to touch it, as both are Reiryoku based. Alternatively, Yuki is able to manipulate cells in the body in order to mend wounds.

I'm sure putting the names I set for the abilities (horrible names even) through a translator like I did the Bankai won't do too nicely, did you mention there were two people who could translate?

Great; once I ask around for a division (asked Dante but he'll have to see this again before he can decide), i'd like to know what I should do to train. I'm still foggy on the correlation between stats points and prerequisites for gaining an ability. Like, putting points up for agility but not getting shunpo because I don't have the training or the rank of lieutenant or Captain.
