It is because of this though, that he keeps his face composed in an expressionless, unsmiling mask to avoid betraying secrets. If you can get to know him, Valk can be quite loyal to his friends, though his experiments always come first and he is more likely to calmly stand by and observe a new foe for a moment then he is to jump in and defend a comrade.

As a human, Valk held the position of Theoretical Physicist at a small facility hidden in the country side, a secret lab dedicated to the creation of experimental devices. With a focus on weaponry. Designed to withstand anything short of a direct nuclear attack, the facility was built like a fortress, keeping intruders out, and the scientists in.
Though denied their freedom, many scientists willingly signed up for positions within the facility, as the lack of disruptions, no deadlines and a seemingly infinite budget being a dream come true for most.
It was in this facility that Valk spent his last few years on earth, working on prototype devices designed to manipulate and control key forces of nature. Magnetism, Gravity, light and one small side project in an attempt to stop time. The control over time failed, the theoretical work was flawless, but the device always exploded before any clear results could be observed. Valk’s greatest achievements were a series of devices designed to defend against, or contain, explosions using a focused field of magnetic energy. The device succeeded beyond all expectations, the defensive field containing a small nuclear blast by forming an almost solid wall of electrons around the bomb.
Though it was his tests with gravity that would be his undoing. In his quest to create neutronium, the densest material known and one which is only found within Neutron Stars, Valk created a small star. The heat and light produced by the star almost broke through the magnetic defences he had set up around the testing site, requiring the activation of an extra two shielding devices, a total of four devices, with a single one of them being capable of containing a nuclear blast. After a few days of building up, the star reached it’s maximum mass, all the matter that had been used to fuel it’s creation now consumed by the immense creation.
With the star complete and all the shielding in place, Valk moved onto the final stage of his plan, forcefully compressing the star in order to artificially replicate the aftermath of a supernova. By bypassing the safety locks on the facility’s power supply, Valk fed almost all the power into the magnetic devices, the shield now taking on a visible form and slowly closing in on the star, compressing it and packing the matter together. With the shimmering silver shield stopping the atoms from escaping, Valk watched with pride as the surface of the shield flared for an instant before dying down and collapsing inwards, leaving a shiny black and strangely metallic object hovering in the center of the room. Leaving the control room, Valk entered his access codes and passed through meters of solid metal to enter the testing room and claim his prize, neutronium.
Without the shielding effects of the magnetic device, which had failed after the neutronium had been created, the strange material began exerting it’s own gravity, sucking in matter from around the room and swelling in size. Valk had just entered the room in time to see the bench at the back of the room crushed and then dragged into the neutronium before the shielding devices reset, the magnetic field surrounding the area around the neutronium moments before it was filled with an inky blackness as a black hole formed from the neutronium. The shielding devices couldn’t hope to stand against a black hole and were reduced to rubble in an instant. Valk followed shortly after, his final act before being crushed by the black hole’s gravity being the activation of a single defensive system, a systematic array of twenty shielding devices targeted at the testing room. With the room sealed off, the miniature black hole consumed itself before exploding in a devastating nova like blast and destroying Valk’s lab, and the devices within it.
With his work gone, Valk stayed in the human world, refusing to move on and haunting the other scientists in the facility, attempting to pass on his ideas to them, but failing. It was some time after his death that a Shinigami appeared, and sent Valk to Soul Society.

- Character Skin Color/Ethnicity: Valk’s skin is unusually pale

- Character Hair Color: Valk’s hair is a grayish-white colour
- Character Hair Length/ Style Valk’s hair is about shoulder length and generally spiked in random directions. With all the random explosions one faces when experimenting with chemicals, Valk has long since given up on making his hair neat.
- Character Eye Color: Valk’s eyes are a deep golden colour, with small streaks of gray scattered around the iris.
- Character Description: Valk has a thin body, with wiry muscles, giving him a lanky appearance. His hands also feature a small network of scars, the randomly placed lines serving as an effective reminder to handle acid carefully.
- Character Attire: Valk is usually seen wearing a labcoat over his shinigami robes, with the pockets usually containing a random selection of prototype devices requiring testing. He also wears a pair of white runners instead of the traditional Japanese sandals, as the sandals provide virtually no protection against the dangerous chemicals Valk is often found using.

- Zanpakutō Name: Soutei Sougon (Binding Gravity)
- Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: Soutei Sougon appears as a tall, shadowy being wearing a cloak that appears to have been made from the darkest depths of space, bearing not a single trace of colour. The only colouring on Soutei Sougon is his eyes, which are the nova blue colour of an exploding star. [Image Here]
- Zanpakutō Sealed Form: In its sealed form, Soutei Sougon is a thin, black longsword, with strange twisting patterns etched into the blade, when not in use it is normally kept wrapped in a black shroud like cloth and tied to a sash around Valk’s waist.

- Zanpakutō Shikai Abilities
Toukai Sougon (Collapse Gravity) – By indicating a certain area, Valk is able to temporally generate a large field of gravity. By doing so, he can use this new gravitational field to defend against ranged attacks (By using the field to draw the attack towards it), as an attack (To hurl objects towards a point) and as a destructive move, with the gravity being capable of easily crushing a stone wall.
Mujuuryoku (Zero Gravity) – Once activated, this ability negates gravity in a spherical area around Valk. Long periods of training have let Valk adapt to moving around in this environment and making use of it’s unique properties, but to someone caught in it for the first time, it could be quite startling and difficult to move around in.
Sougon Kyoten (Gravity Point) – By enveloping his sword in a field of intense gravity, Valk is able to greatly magnify his blades offensive ability, as being struck with the weapon will cause anything touched the blade to be sucked into it. A wall struck by the blade will crumble to dust and become caught within the gravitational field, but the effects on living beings (Including souls such as Shinigami and Arrancar) vary depending on their strength, ranging from the blade wounding from a range (The gravitational field acts as an extension of the blade and wounds from a greater range) to contact with the weapon slowly draining Reiatsu.

- Zanpakutō Bankai Name: Kirinonai Sougon (Boundless Gravity)
- Zanpakutō Bankai Appearance: In Bankai, Soutei Sougon compresses slightly and forms an unusually shaped, odd black blade. While in Bankai, Valk’s attire also changes, from his usual labcoat and robes to darkly coloured, baggy clothing and a cloak that looks as if it was made from the night sky, midnight black and dusted with stars and nebulae.
- Zanpakutō Bankai Abilities
Burakkuho-ru (Black Hole) - With this ability, Valk’s cloak effectively becomes a black hole, sucking in everything within range and crushing it as it comes near. Any being with spiritual energy won’t be killed by the black hole itself, but once something touches the cloak, there is no escape. The massive density and gravitational pull of the cloak with this ability makes it a nearly absolute defence, but Valk must remain stationary while using it, so he cannot run or walk, but may still use his sword.
Shinsei (Nova) – Using this ability, Valk either crushes up the landscape around him or uses previously destroyed materials by creating an immense gravitational field around his sword. The mass of materials and the gravitational pull effectively turns the blade into a miniature star. Once this point has been reached, Valk can either use the sword normally, burning through any obstacle in his path, or increase the gravity once more to make the star surrounding the sword go nova, creating a gigantic explosion.
Chuuseishi Kyohaku (Neutron Star) – This ability is the ultimate embodiment of Soutei Sougon’s offensive power, the supreme control over gravity giving Valk an almost telekinetic control over objects. By manipulating the gravity on objects with extreme precision, Valk can send objects hurtling towards his foes, greatly increase or decrease the gravity around people in order to disrupt their movement and attacks, create a small point of gravity to drag himself away from trouble and even send out ‘lances’ of gravitational energy. Bodies are not designed to survive for long with their liver in a different gravitational field then the rest of their body.

- Bakudō:
1. Restrain (塞, sai) -Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa) -An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
8. Repulse (斥, seki) -Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it
9. Strike (撃, geki) -Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!
9. Hōrin (Disintegrating Circle) -Causes an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to erupt from the users hand and attempt to trap a target. the end of it remains in the hands of the user allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together.
Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat!"
12. Fushibi: -A net formed from an attachment point on the caster, can be small or large depending ong the reiatsu force behind it.
21. Red Smoke Escape (赤煙遁, sekienton) -Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.
26. Curving Light (曲光, kyakko) -Hides the target from sight, presumably by bending light.
30. Beak-Stab Triple Beam (嘴突三閃, Shitotsu Sansen) - Shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his/her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.
37. Suspending Star (吊星, tsuriboshi) -Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
39. Arc Shield (円閘扇, enkosen) -Summons a shield of energy to block opponents' attacks.
58. Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows (摑趾追雀, kakushitsuijaku) -Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.
Incantation: Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain.

[1. Thrust (衝, shō) -Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai) -Fires a concentrated bolt of white lightning from the caster's forefinger.
11. Bound Lightning (製本雷, tsuzuri raiden) -Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.
31. Shot of Red Fire (赤火砲, shakkahō, Red Flame Cannon in the English dub) -Fires a ball of red fire at a target.
Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south!
33. Blue Fire, Crash Down (蒼火墜, sōkatsui, Pale Fire Crash in the English dub) -Fires a column of blue fire at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.
Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! In the English dub, it is read as "Ruler, the mask of blood and flesh, all things in the universe that fly, that which names all! In the name of truth and temperance, dig your claws into the wall of sinless dreams!
54. Abolishing Flames (廃炎, haien) -Fires a blast of purple fire that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.
58. Orchid Sky (闐嵐, tenran) - A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.
- Kido Based Abilties:
Chachakon – Soul Disruption
A Kidō based ability that disrupts the soul, originally designed to provide a shinigami with a quick exit from a Gigai, but later replaced with objects such as gloves or badges due to the difficulty of the ability. Invented by a former Captain of Squad 12, this skill also has the unusual ability to disrupt the souls of Hollows, especially those who have eaten and absorbed numerous Hollows and Souls. Such a disruption can prove fatal, though constant contact is required throughout the ability and loss of contact will halt the process. It does not affect Arrancar. This ability is characterized by a green aura around one of the arms.
Katamekon – Soul Fortifying
A Kidō based ability that fortifies the soul, originally designed to slow or halt a plus’ transformation into a Hollow, with experiments conducted to try and fix a broken Chain of Fate. While the experiments failed, the ability still proved useful for its original purpose. Invented by a former Captain of Squad 12, this skill also has the unusual ability to force any linked souls along a directed chain and into a target, which lead to its widespread use during the creation of modsouls. This ability is characterized by a blue aura around one of the arms, with chains wrapped around the arm and connecting to the targeted souls.
Hanki - Reverse Demon
This technique nullifies an opponent's kidō by hitting them with a perfectly opposite surge of energy.
