Sailor Perseus sat on the lowest tree of the park. She'd been in this park only once before, when she had the pleasure of ...well...whatever she did in what only could be considered the first physical fight she'd ever been in. It had helped immensely that she hadn't had to throw a punch or anything, and instead danced her way through the experience. It was bizarre, really. From what the cat had said, the negaverse was evil, bent on destroying the earth and killing innocent citizens. The girl sighed, brushing back a long spiraled curl. Zinkenite hadn't seemed bent on destruction. He'd asked her to dance, and had done so politely! Perseus didn't feel any sort of crush on the shorter boy, but would like to ruffle his hair at some point. He was cute in a tactical sort of way, almost like the 'Brain' to his glowstick clad 'Pinky' partner. (Admittedly, glowstick Pinky had turned into raging!rabies Pinky a bit too quickly in her opinion. That boy could be scary!) Part of her hoped to see the Lieutenant again at some point, to explain and apologize for attacking him. She knew that she probably shouldn't, she knew that she should treat him like an enemy. But how exactly could you treat someone like an enemy who probably got shoved into service the same way she had been- without much of a choice? It was bizarre, really, to be thrown into middle of a war which was being fought based on the simplest 'good vs. evil' concepts. The world was not black and white to the young sailor sitting in the tree, but rather several interesting shades of gray. Maybe in time she would change her point of views, but for now she was content to sit in the park and enjoy the night, regardless of which side of the line she happened to be standing on.

Zinkenite might have avoided the park had he known that she was there. Her kiss certainly packed a punch and one round with 'jealous scheelite' had put him on edge, never mind how he'd reacted the other night when he'd gotten 'home' with a small hitch in his step and bruised ribs from being -landed- on.
As it was he was running late to where he'd wanted to set up his 'observation point' for the evening. He'd also, to his great frustration missed going to the library to pick up a new book he wanted to read.
He paused to check his watch, stuffed into his pocket after he'd changed... and sighed. He was going to be too late for his original task for the evening. Damn people stuffing him into litter bins... if only he could yank star seeds while in civilian form. He'd make an exception, he thought to his preference to leave that to Scheelite if there were less people trying to recycle him.
That's when he noticed it, that subtle feeling of 'senshi', close too... he looked around but saw no one, at least not on the ground. He really should have thought about looking up.

She'd known there was something coming, and it was the same sensation she'd gotten before around lieutenants. The senshi on the tree branch stilled, not even daring to breath. She looked down carefully, and almost right under her was the same boy that she had danced with! A smile started on her face. Had she been any other senshi, jumping onto him from this position probably would've been their first choice, but that kind've defeated the purpose for Perseus. "Well hello there!" The sailor had decided not to try to hang upsidown on the tree (her top was rather low cut, after all, and flashing someone was not what she wanted to do). Instead, she had laid out on the branch, propping her head up with her hands; a bit like the Cheshire cat. The branch was low, just a few inches above Zinkenite's head. At this moment, a rather important thought jumped into her head, and the senshi wondered if the boy would attack her. She hoped not.

He jerked like he'd been given an electric shock and -stared- up with wide blue eyes. If he could have had a heart attack he thought he might have, god she was RIGHT there, she could have...
Well she didn't... that was important.
He let out a breath of relief his shoulders sagging before going alert again, just because she hadn't attacked -yet- didn't mean she wouldn't.
"Hello to yourself as well..." He said and backed up a step or so just to be sure he was out of arms reach.
"Pardon my discretion but... I'm in no hurry to repeat the end of our last encounter." he said with a small nervous laugh.
He did however bow at the waist, complete with arm sweep.

She grinned a bit at his bow, mimicking the Cheshire cat even more. It was cute, really, and reemphasized the chivalry that he had displayed before. The grin faded a bit at his mention of their battle. "Oh- I wanted to apologize for that." The senshi sat up, hands resting in her lap. She wasn't too far above him, but didn't want to jump down and startle him again. "I was so confused about everything, and I thought...well, anyways. It was wrong of me to attack without provocation, and I'm sorry." Attacking randomly was not the way that Sailor Perseus rolled, at least for now anyways. It might change in the future, when she actually knew more about everything. Some might have read her words as mocking, but the expression on her face was serious. She really, honestly felt bad about the whole thing. Perseus hoped that he would accept her apology.

His eyebrows raised and he blinked in surprise before giving a small nod. "Accepted, and... understood." He said after studying her face. "It is a 'war'.. and we are on opposite sides, If I'm to be attacked out of misunderstandings, better your attack than another?" He said and then offered her a careful hand down... just an outstretched hand.
"I swear to no fowl play at this time...

"I hope it wasn't too bad... I've never actually been through the effects of it myself." Dumb attack. She was still bitter about the fact that her attack was way more intimate than all the other senshi's. Whoever decided these attacks for them deserved to be fired and replaced by someone with a little more sense. She took the offered hand lightly, and did nothing more than simply fall to the ground. She landed easily, it seemed that being a senshi had its benefits. "None from my end either. Truce?" She looked into the eyes of the boy across from her, looking for an answer. It was a nice night, really. A breeze swept through the park every now and again, making all of the leaves rustle, but it was warm.

"Truce..." He nodded and actually smiled with another small nod.
"it was... it was unique... things that were close seemed to be far and things that were far seemed VERY close. Disorienting at the least. I admit I wasn't expecting a... 'touch' based attack like that." he said avoiding the word 'Kiss' as though it were some taboo
"The after effects of which, by the way, lasted for three -days- as a red mark that stoutly -refused- to be scrubbed free." he said half admonishing.

Remembering her manners, Perseus dropped her hand from his, letting it fall to her side. "I didn't have any choice on the matter unfortunately; it wasn't exactly my first choice as far as methods of delivery go. None of us have a choice; we have the attacks that are given to us and little else." She sighed. The only other upgrade it seemed was that you were marginally stronger and faster. At least, Perseus hadn't remembered being able to jump from a building and be okay before.
She was interested to hear his explanation though. The cat had explained it, of course, but it was different coming from someone who had experienced it first hand. "That's very...interesting."
At the mention of a red mark, she looked over at him, wide-eyed and confused. "You had a lipstick mark for three days?" She looked over at him, trying to find some sign of it. Not finding any, she moved her attention elsewhere. Namely, the sky above the two of them. Well, that was certainly an interesting after effect. "I wasn't ever told of something like that happening."

"My... Scheelite was -very- upset..." he said recalling, "Though I think you saw that first hand..." He grimaced... that little go around could have gone so much better... silver bullion and 'Dark-scheelite' had pretty much ensured that he filed it under 'general disaster' as far as senshi encounters went.
"I take it being a 'senshi' has no instruction manual then?" He quipped to change the topic.

Adira quirked an eye at the beginning of his sentence. 'My' was not something you usually changed out of. She wondered if he'd meant 'my partner', and abruptly changed his mind about it. Which also made her wonder about the relationship the two had beyond the negaverse. It was interesting. "Yes.... Scheelite is not someone that I particularly want to run into again, unfortunately." She shrugged a little, accepting what had happened. "You get a rundown of the bare minimum basics. But other than that, no." It was terrible, really. Organization on the senshi side of things was lacking at best, which bothered the practical side of Perseus to no end. "Does the negaverse get an instruction manual?" They seemed more organized all around. Plus, she knew barely anything about the great 'evil' they were fighting, and now she had a chance to ask questions from someone actually in it. It could provide valuable insight.

"Hmm..." he smiled at her question, amused but nodded. "Tit for tat... quid pro quo... it's only fair." He nodded again.
"Not so much an instruction manual, we're... well... we are assigned a captain, or at least I was, and given a notice of what is expected of us and... consequences of course should we fail to preform as expected. I think you must receive the same... but perhaps not quite as directly?" He tilted his head slightly as if to punctuate the question .
He also waved his hand down the path offering to walk as they spoke... very natural, and very normal.
He wondered briefly if he should apologize for Scheelite's attack, but it was not his place to do so so he refrained.

Having captains and set expectations would have been nice. It would have been very, very nice. The boy next to her still sent negative shivers up and down her spine, but he was nice. She nodded at the path, the pair starting down it before she answered his question. "Well, that would be nice. I was being honest when I said we got the basic run down. We are told our powers and our name, and a vague description of the negaverse and youma. It basically all boils down to them telling you 'we are good, go fight evil.'" She was actually told a little more than that, about cell phones and the costumes they wore, but Perseus kept it vague. She wasn't exactly sure how much she should be saying. Not like she knew a whole hell of a lot, but some secrets were probably a good thing. "It seems silly, since good and evil are largely subjective." Other cultures didn't have the same concepts of good an evil as those from the US did. Perseus hadn't actually seen any evil, other than the girl that was supposedly going to kill her. It would probably become more clearly defined in time, but for now everything was still new and confusing.

"What a fine example of sociology we would be... situations at least in part dictating who is 'right' and who is 'wrong'. " He chuckled.
His eyes dropped thoughtful... introspective even though it was questionable if he liked what he saw.
"I suppose neither of us will like the outcome if the other side wins though... " he almost said something more but shook his head and elected not to say. If she did not know that there were senshi that 'worked' for them, she did not need to learn from him.
"So much for an ordinary life..." He added instead with a wry smile.

"Probably not." She shrugged. Perseus knew enough of internal and international politics to know enough about the concept of war, at least in how it was applied to business. Bloodshed she had no clue on, nor hate. "Though, who ever really wins in a war?" Her heels clicked slowly along the pavement. "I never had an ordinary life to begin with." She chuckled. Many things could be said about Adira Perses, but having a 'normal average life' was not one of them. "This just makes it all that much stranger." She looked at the lieutenant next to her. She would have loved to ruffle his hair, but it was probably not appropriate to do so. "Did you choose your side, or were you picked?" It was an interesting question. From what the cat had said, Senshi were born being a senshi, and the cats just awakened them. Were people born to be in the negaverse?
