This is what kind of candle I'm talking about, I forget what they are called redface
I have a clear glass one that's white that I want to anoint and light for love making...
Anyways, what kind of herbs and oils would I use? And how do I anoint this kind? Do you put the oil just on the part of the candle that isn't covered in glass?? thanks!!

Hmm... neutral
Uhh...Herbs that would be good to use are something like cinnamon or cloves, even garlic could be used.
Remember that Roses are the typically floral symbol for love.
Oils...I would go with Jasmine or Rose, if you can get your hands on it.

If you are interested in increasing your libido carefully, try crystal/stone theraphy. I often find that crystals/stones make better changes to the body and mind, than herbs.

Ahh! I use these all the time! ^_^ They're called "seven-day candles" because their length is about 7 days-ish. They're used a LOT in churches, as well as voudun/hoodoo/voodoo what have you (the idea crossed over from one group to another in this case).
As for anointing, I use permanent marker lol. The glass makes an okay surface to write on, and for the few specific ones I have, I've drawn images of whatever it is I am working for (i.e. my "monthly" one is red, has a crudely drawn picture of a sheela na gig on it, as well as a spiral goddess and the basic goddess symbol on it). I've found that using different colored sharpie markers works excellent as well, for different purposes. When it comes to oil, however, I typically just add a few droplets of a specific oil to the top and let it burn with the wax that would be burning for the time being (I've never let one go for more than a day so that oil gets burned up as the candle gets used). I dont see any harm in anointing the glass, as its more the idea and the intent thats going into the whole idea, and if it works for you...lol.
Word to the wise from someone whos had the misfortune, if you're looking to increase libido, and do not wish for children just yet, make sure you take the necessary precautions, both mundanely AND magickally. Word those spells carefully, and practice safe sex. heart

Oh yeah, the seven day candles are unbelievably useful. Mine tend to last all year because I have other candles that I use, but my seven day candles that I have, I mainly use for sabbat rituals, so they last a while. I usually add in a few drops of oil and let that burn off, of course being careful not to drown the wick. smile One thing I was suggested one time that I haven't been able to do yet, it to drill a hole or a few holes (like really tiny pilot holes) down into the wax and drip oil, or somehow stuff finely ground herbs down there. smile

@MyValenwind- Try using a reeeally thin and long nail or needle. The thinner the better, and it might work better with oil. Too big around will crack the wax.
