Common Sense and Structure
- Profiles
Your profile is the single most important thing about your role play, it tells everyone what your RPC is capable of, what he or she is like and so on and so forth. Be as detailed as possible, don't give short choppy explanations about things, make sure you include as much detail as possible. If your character has an ability but you don't list it in your characters profile then it doesn't have that said ability. Be warned now, if you use an ability during a role play that isn't in your characters profile you will be given a warning or banned. The exception to the rule is abilities invented during training sessions. They must be approved by crew.
Bankai
Bankai is only obtainable for Lieutenants and Captains, you can place your Bankai in your profile but you may not say it's been obtained. This falls under common sense, if you are not of either of these levels and you play with Bankai you will be given a warning, continued offenses will result in demotion from your rank or banning. No character can have godly abilities. Under certain circumstances, Bankai may be allowed by a 3rd Seat, this is at the Crew's discretion.
Shikai
Your shikai abilities should be structured and well balanced, you cannot have godly shikai abilities, no member can, not even a captain.
Auto-hitting
Ex: Shadow drew his fist back and slammed it into Spike's stomach, dropping him instantly.
Auto-hitting means that you RP your character to hit another character without giving them the chance to avoid it. An all around no-no unless you are a Captain training a lower rank. Instances where certain things have been planned out, Auto-Hitting may be allowed. Such a thing should be brought up with a crew member. Use common sense when it comes to touching another RPC.
Puppeting
Ex: Shadow grabbed Spike by the ear and threw him across the yard. Spike grabbed his ear and howled in pain.
This is basically writing out the actions of another character that is not yours. The exception to this rule is in certain cases where a character is knocked out and aid must be administered, or something similar. Both parties must be in agreement before this can take place.
God Modding
-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission.
-It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them.
-It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as Legolas, then you cannot have Legolas say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.
"God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. An example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try. Godmodding is not to be tolerated at all.
Rank
If you have not obtained a rank DO NOT place things such as the following in your profile as it will be most confusing for other members. If you have not yet been assigned a position please just place "N/A" next to Rank and Division. NEVER place something under your rank that you have not yet been given, that is not something you are allowed to do and it makes things difficult if someone wants to apply for a position but they see it in your profile so they assume it's taken when you yourself have not been given the rank. If you are indeed waiting to be a captain then that is fine, there is no need to place (Hopefully a captains spot) In your profile.
Multiple RPCs
You are limited to 3 RPCs, aside from the Guild Captain, who will be the controller of multiple key characters in the plots to come. Secondary characters should be kept on a separate (mule) account, the only exception being Taigaa-tono who had her two Shinigami characters before this rule was created.
- High Level RPC
At this time, only members with a high level of activity and excellent Role Playing ability will be able to have more than one High-level RPC. Still, no member should have two Captains or two Sephira (except the Guild Captain, should she feel the need to do so). The exception to the high-level rule is when Crew is asked to RP an antagonist for a Mini-Arc.
Mid-Level RPC
Those with a high-level of activity but the inability to repeatedly RP with more than one RPC will be limited to one high-level RPC and one mid-level RPC. For example, a Captain and 3rd Seat.
New Users
New Users will be limited to 1 RPC until they can prove their activity and Role Play ability. There is no set time span in which this activity can be proven, and it is solely up the the Guild Captain's discretion.
Rules and Guidelines
- You must obey ALL crew members, do not disrespect them. If you feel you are being treated unfairly by one you may contact another and state your case.
Do not make disrespectful comments towards other members. You are forbidden to to call someone down due to their race or religion.
While freedom of speech is tolerable, racism is not. Do not offend anyone within the guild.
Please follow all ToS (Terms of Service) here on Gaia. You can read more about the ToS by looking at the very bottom of any page where it has the many helpful links.
Please do not use light colors in your posts. They are very hard to read and it's just a giant hassle. If you are unsure about a color, ask.
All new members have a maximum of one week to create and post their profiles in the profile sub-forum upon joining the guild. Those who fail within the allotted time will be banned from the guild, unless they have a valid reason as to why they weren't able to post it.
Those of you that read the manga were aware of the fact that Aizen was able to negate Soifon's Nigeki Kessatsu by using his Reiatsu;
God Hax
"Using my Reiatsu, I will supress the entirety of your technique's pathetic ability."
I myself have come to disregard this show of power as being legitimate, as it makes no sense logically and have thusly treated it as Godmodding. With that said, it is obviously not allowed by members. Note that using bursts of Reiryoku to deflect certain things is still allowed, but use of Reiatsu to suppress an ability is not.
Members, please note that posting OOC posts in an RP thread is not allowed. It's distracting and takes up space. Small notes to others about your RP post is allowed, but strictly OOC is not. Also, do not complain or argue in the same manner. If you have an issue, take it to comments or PMs. OOC posts can and will be deleted by any crew member with or without the consent of the person responsible for posting it.
Canon characters do not exist in this guild and they never have. This was a more recent change, so you may or may not spot a member mentioning a Canon character in old posts or in a profile. Don't let this confuse you, however, as they certainly do not exist any longer.
