Morgana's POV
It was quiet in the forest, and the female Angelic found it to be a typical, spring day in the reserve. The snow was all but gone, though in a few shady patchs here and there, the rivers were starting to rise and the streams starting to fill with more small fish, shrimps and crawdads to feed on. Morgana didn't feel the need to eat her fill or find extra food since she was currently not pregnant nor was she planning to have babies in the near future, though if the time was right, she would go to Ketsu like she did last time.

Right now she was having a walk toward a stream where she knew Akira had his den, wanting to surprise him with a visit and make sure he at least built his den far from the rising water, still being a worrying mother, even after her pups had grown up. She didn't want to fly because she wanted to just enjoy the view of the budding trees and flowers and the smell was nice to.

But a sound made her freeze in her tracks, it was one that sounded somewhat familiar, but very foreign to her. Her rounded ears wiggled as she tried to pinpoint where it was coming from and she heard big paws trudging through the brush. Instinct made her open her wings and fly into the foliage where she could hide, out of sight. If it was wolf, she would be safe because wolves couldn't climb. If it was a bobcat, well, she would just have to fly and make sure not to hit any branchs. Crouching down low on the cluster of leaves and branchs, her red eyes peered down to see who or what was coming.

It was a bobcat, and Morgana tensed in her perch, wings pressed down tightly against her sides and back, ready to make a break for it if it spotted her. But it didn't look to be hunting for anything, not with the way it was walking. Something was dangling from it's mouth, something very light in color and was making a crying noise. She watched as the bob looked around warily and then set the white colored bundle on the ground. She cautiosly peeked her head out to get a better look, curiosity getting the better of her. She still wasn't sure what it was, especially when the bobcat stared down at the bundle of fur for a moment before turning away and bounding off back into the forest, never to be seen again.

Morgana stayed where she was, not wanting to chance the predator coming back to catch her in surprise. But the little thing on the ground started wiggling about and then crying in a mewling sound. Letting out a breath and hoping the bobcat was truly gone, she opened her wings up and glided down to the ground, landing silently a few feet away from the crying/mewling thing. Now up close to it, she could finally see it was a bobcat as well, but better yet, a new born kitten from how tightly the eyes were shut. It was wiggling and crying, trying to find it's mother, unable to see and was getting cold.

The angelic was torn between what to do. Bobcats were predators which meant they hunted otters, so the logicial thing to do was to just leave the baby here to it's fate. But Morgy couldn't find it in her to be so cruel. She could understand the mothers reason for abandoning her kitten. Predators relied on their coats to be darker, thus to not be seen so easily. This baby was...abnormal, to say the least and it's chances were slim from a predators point of view. But Morgy wasn't a predator, she was an otter....more so, she was a mother and her heart went out to the crying furball.

She knew she should turn away and leave, but instead she slowly padded over and leaned down to sniff at it. Her scent caused the baby to freeze for just a moment before it started it's crying again and wiggled it's way to her to get close to the warm source that was close by now. Morgy sighed and smiled softly, now knowing there was no way she could abandon this baby. Leaning over she licked at the black mark on her nose and then grabbed at the scruff of her neck with her teeth, lifting her up easily and was a bit surprised to find the kitten having gone limp. Her den wasn't far....but she knew she would have alot of explaining to do to Ketsu when she finally got home. She just hoped he was ready to be a dad again!
