The next fallout game will be called
Fallout: New Vegas (official site here)
it will have basically the same core elements as Fallout 3, but obviously with some added goodness and fine tuning...
so far the obvious things that stand out are the weapon modding, adding a more "real" element to the weapons system of the game, and a "hardcore" mode, which makes ememies generally harder to kill, makes healing yourself and repairing broken limbs much harder to do (doctors are a must generally), adds weight to ammo (no more 9999x 5.56mm rounds
xp ) and implements a "dehydration" system, forcing the player to drink often to stay alive... so basically hardcore = more life-like, which sounds awwwwwesome for a survival based game

xd FO3 was absolutely my favorite game so far, and these new additions make it look like the Fallout series will continue to grow and and exceed my expectations
