Description: Upon opening the Fly's Head Door, Mataki is bitten by a snake. This snake's venom, extremely poisonous and incurable, will course through his veins for the rest of his life and occasionally cause him intense bouts of excruciating pain.
Effect: After surviving the bite of Skadi's Snake, Mataki will slowly, over the course of 3 days, begin to notice changes in his physical being. On the first day his eyes will burn, leaving him mostly blind...at sunset on the first day his eyes will heal, and he will see the supernatural. On the second day his blood will burn hot, rendering him motionless...at sunset on the second day his blood will run cold and his body will change, gaining the properties of a demon and a permanent immunity to poison. On the third day his mouth will burn and he will go hungry...at sunset on the last day his mouth will produce fangs with a bite as venomous as the snake. A bite from Mataki henceforth will inflict immediate Poison status and deal heavy physical damage.
After three days, Mataki's transformation will be complete...but only then, when he is compelled to return to meet the Gigolo, will he know what he has become and learn the extent of the changes within him.
