Azzo was in the park with his new puppy. Trying to train it for one, and for two trying to keep it from hurting the puppy puppet. Why he brought both was beyond him, he thought maybe it'd help in training.
Training that was a pain in the a**. The puppet sat on the bench, Azzo on the ground, with the white German Shepard puppy in his lap trying to get away. Despite having on his leash, all he wanted to do was play and gnaw on things.
"Merlin stop." He said as he pushed the puppy away from trying to chew on the How to train dogs for dummies book. He sighed slightly flustered. "Why won't you listen?"' He asked as he leaned back on the bench, resting his head against the picnic basket that he had, and sighed putting the book on it. Trying to train the puppy was a pain in the a**. He wasn't sure how many other people were around.

A fair share of people were in the park, actually, though the majority of them had spread out as each group kept to themselves. Two boys were tossing a frisbee back and forth between each other, a young couple was sitting beneath a tree holding hands, an elderly woman and her granddaughter both enjoying a simple walk down the marked pathway, the sunshine streaming through the branches high above.
Among the various groups was Ursula Killingworth. She hadn't come with a partner today (Khaldun had quickly figured out a dozen things that needed to be done when she'd suggested they return to the park in search of a senshi) but instead sat alone on a nearby bench, book in hand.
She was thumbing through New Moon (this was the third time to read through it for her) when she'd heard the desperate tone in an all-too familiar voice. Glancing up, her jaw slacked slightly as she recognized the dark mass of hair on the boy pleading with the puppy.
Could it really be him?
Izzy...Izzo...Azzo. The boy from Barren Pines - the same boy who she'd forced to fight against his little girlfriend, during a bout of boredom between herself and Hematite. He was alive?
But...how?
Regaining her composure (while her curiosity began to grow), eyes fell down to watch the squirming puppy attempt to break free of its master's grasp. As much as she preferred cats to dogs, puppies were adorable. All baby animals were - it was like the unspoken Law of Baby Animals.
Amused and unable to help herself, she cleared her throat.
"I think he is listening, actually. He's just choosing not to obey."

Azzo at the sudden voice jerked, he seemed rather jumpy still. Probably from all the run ins with the Negaverse and youma lately.
However the woman's voice had caught him off guard. He turned to look at her slowly, swallowing. He wasn't sure if he should be scared of her or just brush it off, something was nagging at him again. Like with the familiar faces. "Probably."
He said softly scratching Merlin behind the ear, "He's pretty new. I don't think he's been away from his ma long." He paused, looking at her sideways. Merlin was wanting to go over to sniff the lady, "Merlin I'm not sure she wants puppy slobber." He said as the puppy whimpered.

"How long have you had him?"
Ursula was not a dog fan by any means. They smelled, slobbered and had a tendency to get muddy pawprints all over everything. She'd always been a cat person - Grendel would disown her for even thinking about getting a dog, no matter how cute it was.
She crossed her legs, settling her book to the side as she leaned down to study the small creature. It was cute, in its own right, but those tiny little claws and fangs looked like they were just begging to chew on her heels. And these were her good ones!
Eyes moved up to glance warily at the young student who, not only months before, had been subjected under her torture and forced to kill his sweetheart.
"Does he bite?"

Azzo finally got Merlin to lay down and be still for a second. "I got him on the 30th of last month." He said "Dad got him for my birthday..."
He paused, it was weird Merlin was watching the Lady though giving her curious glances before looking at the basket behind Azzo's head. He knew where the food was.
"Not really, it's more of a playful type thing. He might still be teething though." Azzo looked back at her, "He likes to try to eat the puppets I have." He nodded to the puppy on strings looking as if there were bite marks on one ear. Azzo pulled out a small stick from his pocket. "Still trying to teach him he can't eat things like that. He at least hasn't tried to eat shoes, Grams would probably have a fit if he did."
Merlin's ears flicked when he heard a bird nearby chirp. Azzo looked at her again, casting a sideways glance. "I'm Azzo." He added not bothering to ask if they've met before. They probably had, but he didn't want anyone else mad at him for not remembering their names.
