heart I'm in pit and proud of it! heart Been in it for two years, going for my third and staying in it till I graduate. Got a problem with it then DEAL WITH IT!

Cool dont know what I'm on yet for this year but freshman year I was on auxilary and sophmore year I was on Mallet Kat.

I've been in pit for three years, going on four, and will be section leader for three of those four years.
I can't imagine being in any other section. There's just something about it that's unique that I can't explain to everyone else, you know? The indoor rehearsals, the Riding of the Carts at every festival, the Pit Olympics, Wakka Bars, all our other inside things...

I was the pit section leader this past season. I play whatever they need me to play. I switched from Bells to Vibes between movements in our last song. I've only been playing percussion for two years but I love it. I'm auditioning for field commander for next season and I'm pretty positive I'll get it, otherwise my BD wouldn't have let me take over the pit myself, being a second year, and asked me six times to audition for Drum Major.

I love four mallet!!!! My band has not enout parts for it.
I'm going to be a sophomore next school year, but I have done 2 years of winter pit, one year of street pit, and one year of field pit. I'm going to be doing field pit through my senior year because I FREAKIN LOVE IT!! heart heart I'm moving up to mallet2 this year! and field pit captian my junior year!! biggrin I can't wait. Pit is WONDERFUL.
Who doesn't love it?!?!?!

NO we need more people that are more enthusiastic like you. Just because we dont march, the pit is still a great and fun part of the band.

Well personally I think pit is one of the best sections in band because we are percussion so we can get the rythms and what the drummers do, but at the same time, we play different notes and can survive without the horns and winds. (Concert pit during winter percussion season!! I don't do it cuz my school doesn't have it but it's just mallets and synths.)
I don't mean anything against the other sections because I know without them band just woundn't be band, but I think that pit is just amazing because it's true, we don't march, but we do so much more.

I am proud to say that next year I will be one of the members in my school's VERY FIRST PIT. XD
So far, we're at two confirmed members- to be getting more from our MASSIVE flute section.
