I expect within the next 5 years a big change will happen to RuneScape that will change it completely from the game we know today. I'm actually surprised they haven't attempted to create a RuneScape 3, even though I have no idea what they'd do haha.

There's a lot more community involvement (again) from the Jagex Staff which is a very nice thing to see. I wasn't around in the RuneScape Classic era, but I know from friends how they used to try to delve into the community. I know looking back at past News Posts, Andrew Gower would post things like "Staff Paintball Tournament" with a picture and how he hopped on his level 3 noob account and got called a noob a lot =P

There have been some stupid decisions in the past... Sometimes I wonder if they should've copied RSC items as well instead of just moving them, even though it would've taken much more work. And other senses I think they moved from RS1 to RS2 too quickly, but so has technology =P

Iunno... I think RuneScape will be around for a long time, but in all honesty it may even have a new name =P Who knows. Jagex is very unpredictable.

shut the hell up and let us, those who still enjoy playing,

30 to 40 years of runescape? The game will be packed with so many new skills they will get old. You might find yourself paying for more things separate from your members fee. Or they might introduce some kind of separate payment option for non-members where you can pay a dollar to play castle wars for a month or some such s**t.

Before i continue, i know i don't play anymore but hear me out.

Technology might finally reach the point where the game is a fully interactive virtual reality. But not to worry, society is already close to reaching the point where people utter such words as "Noob" or "Pawned" or might even use the abbreviation "lol" instead of laughing in social situations. I wish i was making that up.

The game economy will finally go completely up its own a**. Zamorak is being tortured daily in all 7 circles of hell and Zaros has taken over the world of runescape. Which has now become a horrible and frighting world engulfed in an eternity of darkness.
Walking from lumbridge to varrock has become a near impossible feat. And since the game is a interactive virtual reality, the game will become more of a mental health risk then a mere game. Play at your own insane wish. You know, with all the Demonic giant dragons growing tentacles out their Esophagus.

Player vs Player has become a deadly game for survival. As dog eats dog simply for a few more seconds of life leading to a slow,painful, agonizing death. So you die and you are teleported to lumbridge.... my a**. You are shrunken down and are teleported into Angelina Jolie's pubic hair which is like that of an 80 year old french whore.

.....Yeah, but apart from all that at least the game is now rid of all bugs and has much more individuality amongst its players..... eh, or victims. Oh and yes, Random Events are here and i think they are much more frightening then anything i mentioned.

It's gonna be around for maybe 20 or 30 years - we don't know that. MMORPGs are still ''new'' to the world and we don't know how the other competitors are going to last too. It's like genetically modified food - we don't know the other possible long-term effects, this generation our the "beta" testers of GM food.

Anyways, it's going to be different like others said. The bigger Jagex gets the bigger they're going to get obsessed with money. They're going to change a lot of things for marketing purposes. Just look at our new homepage, the HP update, or the fact we have "dungeon" dungeons (not our previous ones) in RuneScape.

Don't yell at me because I'm complaining about HP and Dungeoneering. I'm not.

I gave Dungeeoneering a kick and I liked it. But I have better skills to train in RuneScape that are helpful. And I didn't rage when HP update came out. I was like... WTF? And then I just used to it in a matter of days.


TL;DR: It's going to change. DERP.
