The taxi pulled up in front of the building, a corner-lot with wide windows wrapping around the entire first floor. The upper floors were brick exterior, unknowingly reinforced with steel and rebar in order to mantain structure, no matter what attacks.

Inside, visible through the windows, still-unfinished counters and office supplies, boxes and couches in the waiting room. A large sign hung above the door, words obscured by the paper that covered it. Maren never really did anything half-way.

The building is definitely efficient enough. Externally, it had fantastic curb appeal and character, even though the bricks could use some touch-ups on the grout, the windows needed cleaning, small things like that. The interior needs to be flawless before they worry about silly curb appeal or things that most immortals don't take care to notice, anyway.
Ninak slipped out of the taxi, walked around it, and opened the door for his lover. Once she was close, he wrapped an arm around her and walked towards the half-finished, soon-to-be blood bank. "So, where to start..."

Stella wrapped her arm around his waist in return and arm in arm, they walked together towards the front door. She pulled the keys out from her pocket as they reached it, unlocking the door and offering the key to Ninak. It was his copy now, since he had become part owner of it.
Stepping inside -and taking care to secure the door behind them- rewarded them with a closer view of the half-assembled lobby. Next to the reception desk, a staircase and elevator reaching to the stairs above. Behind the desk was an open door to the floors below, the hum of refrigerators and heaters audiable to their sensitive ears.
"I guess, downstairs?" she said, barely stopping to think as she hopped over the countertops.

The offered key was shoved into his pocket, refused to be contemplated quite yet. It's been over a thousand years since any amount of property was even partially under his name. "Sounds like a plan, love." Mentally, he made notes of approximately where Maren's recent artistic masterpieces would find themselves among these walls. Across from the reception desk, in the lobby, was just the right amount of blank wall space, sans windows, to fit Alluvian's portrait. To any humans that stumbled into this place, the angel/vampire combination would appear to be merely grotesque, gothic art. To immortals, however, it would signify unity, strength, and much more. Just as Alluvian himself represents.
Pleasant with the notion, he turned and followed his lover by gracefully sliding over the counters. "How many refrigerators do you think we'll need?" He could hear their hum like muffled music coming from the lower floor but couldn't make an exact estimation.

"An entire basement full," she said, taking the lead down the stairs. They were greeted immediately with two floor-to-ceiling doors. She opened the top half of one door and peered inside, the split door keeping the cool air in. "This is where the blood will be stored, the other one is a heater for warming it up."
Each of the rooms were fair-sized, enough to stock hundreds and hundreds of bottles or bags of blood. Organization systems were already in place, the walls labled with 'A' 'B' 'A/B' 'O' 'Immortal' with corresponding racks.
After a peek at each room she locked the doors once more, her fingers twining with Ninak's as they went back up the stairs and over the counter.
"I guess up next," she said, the two of them heading up another flight of stairs. This one came out to a hallway, another flight of stairs heading up again behind and to the right. Six doors come off of this richly decorated hallway, one of which Stella opens.
Although the bottom floors weren't finished, this room clearly almost is. A chez couch sits against a wall, a blanket draped tastefully over the back. Pictures and paintings hang on the walls, an old oak desk to the side and ample seating available for... guests. This room, although small, stands with the grandeur of a day long gone, the light of the chandelier reflecting on the walls of the past. Nostalgic for old Vampires, classy for the new.
"I think they're all themed," Stella admitted, "This is one of the feeding rooms."

The basement, besides the absence of necessary blood, was completed. Maren, or her children, did a thorough job with the immense amount of refrigerators and labeling system. The only thing thats caught him curious was the fact that there was a label for Immortal blood. Demons, perhaps, will never settle for less than the best.
As they strolled throughout the building, he made mental notes of possible decorations. Though, It has been a long time since Ninak has honestly been left breathless. When he entered the first of six rooms, it felt as though he got a solid hit to the gut. Yet, he was smiling. "Oh, my..." He whispered, his eyes scanning the dimly-lit room, admiring the aristocrat feel within the feeding room. Nostalgia filled him sweetly as he pulled Stella over to the fluffed couch. He sat down for a moment, imagining how this building will be not only a haven but also a place of recollection and community within war.
"Maren did a fantastic job here. It reminds me of England, 1600's, when the Queen was at her finest and the dearest country was the strongest power in the world. Amazing."
For a moment, he pulled Stella into his lap, holding her close as he enjoyed the comfort of nostalgia and love. After a slow sigh, he finally resigned, "Okay, let's explore the rest. Though, by far, this is the best room."

Stella looked about, trying to feel what he was explaining, only able to see the memory of it on the walls. She leaned against his shoulder as they sat and he described it, explained what this room felt for him. Sitting on his lap, it seemed to be the place she had been the most comfortable so far. At his cue she kissed his cheek and got up, fingers lacing with his as she led him out and to the next door.
The inside of this one was a Greek temple, carefully constructed with the utmost care. Every detail was perfect, the mural on the wall depicting the demi-god Dionysus and his nymphs in drunken revelry. White linens are spread out over a bench turned table, certainly intended for future meals to rest before they were drained. The ceiling and several wall panels emitted a glowing indoor light, covered by patterns of grass against the sky into the distance, a false continuation of the tiny temple.
"If I recall, she did this from memory," Stella informed him, running her hand over a marble statue's impeccable arm.

Just as the previous room gave Ninak a sense of nostalgia, the next room their viewed filled him with awe. "I have underestimated Maren." The words came with a soft chuckle and a shake of the head in disbelief. Though, after as long as she has been alive, her ability to recall memories never fades and her gift of the arts only refines to phenomenal amounts.

"She works hard to perfect these things, since she knows who will be using them," Stella admitted, admiring the fake-cloudy sky. They admired it for a moment before moving on again, showing him another door. The heights of France, the statues of Greece, and now the gold and sand of Egypt greeted them in the next room. It wasn't Maren's own memory, no. She had only been to Egypt after the great empire's decline, the room was recreated from her eldest sister's stories, tales and descriptions that Maren had always held dear to herself. As beautiful as the others, this room too was finished.

She showed Ninak along the other rooms, rooms from different times and places, different worlds than what was here now. The third floor was much like the second but modern, mimicking places in today's world. The hallway of a mall, an indoor brick alleyway complete with a portion of fire escape, a room that seemed to open onto a lake, a pier extending into the middle of the room and fish swimming lazily below. They were rooms of mundane fantasy, a Disneyland for killers and blood-drinkers.

"She's outdone herself." Ninak admitted as their admired further rooms and made their way to the third floor. Although Ninak always loved the Babylon Bar and Grill for all of the elements that make Maren combined into a place of luxury and passion, a single room in the new blood bank contains a tenfold the amount of beauty as the entire Babylon. He's always seen Maren as an artist but that of the body, when it comes to being able to move her own body and tear apart the bodies of others. Yet, as he quickly learned, she is a DaVinci of all canvases.
"I can't begin to imagine how much money this will bring in... I honestly can't. We'll attract the incredibly rich because of our personal beauty and then the elegance and personality of every room. And the mundane will pay us with their lives, even if they don't know it." A wicked grin played along his lips as every word whispered wonderful fantasies.

"My Lady is aware of the eldest Vampires, she hoped that it would remind them of home," Stella explained, "Or to play out the feeding scenes that we can't necessarily do anymore. She thinks that, fairly soon, the feeding activities that we used to think of as normal won't be possible anymore. Everyone will come here, looking for something of the world before. The oldest, most powerful Vampires will come here, to feed in a place comfortable, familliar."
She smiled and took his hand, "I think it's good business, at the very least. The next floor up is sleeping spaces, tiny little ecopod style tubes for Vampires to stay in during the day. It's a relatively safe place, if not cramped."
