The day was just beginning but she had been up and about for an hour before hand. Crystal tossed her white and brown mane out of her blue eyes and flicked an ear. She had raced through the plains to find this hill, this one spot she loved to watch the sun rise. It was tall and wide. She laid down, tucking her legs under her, her head to the sky, watching as orange, purple and white bled through the inky blackness of the sky.
It was so pretty! Crystal couldn't help me; she loved those colors and the brightness of the first rays of sun. Blinking as they hit her face, she took a deep breath and let out a small noise. "So wonderful!" Her voice was smooth as silk and as sweet as honey.
She stayed there as a cool breeze drifted by, reminding her that winter had just ended and the spring was just beginning. A small shudder ran through her gray body and she shivered audibly at that. Ah, well. Now she just wished some other stallion, mare, anyone! would happen through and come talk to her or something. While she liked chasing butterflies and everything, she wanted to talk.

As the sun began to rise over the horizon, setting everything 'afire' with various different colors spreading throughout the night-kissed environment, chasing the darkness away.. the blood red stallion was already traveling through the forest, heading toward the plains. Fire Crystal paused in battle-ready position when he saw a beautiful mare streaking across the plains and he automatically assumed she was being chased but he stared at the mare's face when he was quickly trotting into the plains, feeling like a fool because she was excited about something. He shook his head with a small chuckle and mental smack to his forehead before he decided to follow the mare at the distance to make sure he didn't misinterpret the expression on her face since it was still dark out.
For few minutes, he have lost the sight of the mare that was streaking through the plains and was looking around for signs of where the mare have gone to. But a small noise on top of the hill that is just right there in front of him caught his attention because the voice sounds like a music of the wind. He turns his head toward the hill when the skies are lightening up, spotting the silhouette of the mare sitting on the ground with her head up to the skies. For some reason, that sight made a huge smile break out on his face and he walks up the hill, spotting the shiver going through the mare. "Cold, m'lady?" The voice like sinful velvet floats over to the mare as Fire Crystal stood a foot or two behind her, not wanting to scare the mare and send her tumbling down the hill.

Those clear blue eyes turned to the voice with a bit of a startled look, but she relaxed after a moment. "I keep forgetting winter wasn't too long ago. Y'know? I suppose it's a reminder that we should enjoy the sun!" The gray mare picked herself up after a moment and stretched her legs. Sure, laying down was good for her, but she always felt stiff afterward. Maybe that's why she was always on the go.
She looked down at the fire red stallion with an appreciative eye. So far, Crystal had only met stallions of neutral colors, black or white, so a colored stallion didn't go unnoticed. She flicked her tail against her flank, swatting an unseen bug or something of that nature. Of course she studied him closely. Was he another from a herd? Or was he a wild stallion like herself?
"I didn't think another was out this early!" A truly wonderful surprise for her. She did glance around for his herd, or a loved one, a friend, someone following him. When there didn't seem to be one, Crystal put on a care free smile and shifted to make room at the top for him. "What's your name? Got a herd?"

Fire Crystal chuckles softly at the mare's comment and initial startled look as he offers her a friendly smile, watching her standing up and stretched her legs out. "You know.. you should start making a bedding on the ground so it would be more easier on your legs." He suggests as he looks up at now brightening skies, his dark horn glimmering faintly in the weak sunlight. He brings his eyes back from the skies to the mare that is standing in front of her, knowing that he should pay more attention to the mare instead of the skies.
Fire Crystal grins as he watches another mare study him like he was studying her and found her to his liking. Soft on others' eyes and beautiful mare to boot. He quirks his eyebrow in amusement at the mare's silence and he will have to admit, he enjoys having mares looking at him for some reason. "I love traveling, m'lady." Fire Crystal laughs as he tosses his dark red hair over his neck. "And I find that traveling when the sun is just coming out is the best time. Because everything is peaceful and the smell of fresh morning dew is rich in the air." His chest expands as he inhales heavily to take in the smell of morning dew. "Ahh.." He sighs happily before his eyes snaps back to the mare.
"I am Fire Crystal." He introduces himself with a twitch at corner of his muzzle hinting at the smile and a respectful dip of his head. "What's your name, m'lady?" He murmurs as he blinks at the second question she asked him and he frowns little bit mentally. "I am from Mythical Herd, m'lady. Would that be any problems for you?" His voice is tinged with concern as he watches the mare in front of him, wondering if she had any bad experiences with any kind of herds or something.

She'd thought about making a bedding, but it would be ruined before she came back to it the next day. So, that's what she voiced. "It'd be ruined and I would have to keep doing it. I don't always come here, but I try to come often. Besides, it's not right to claim a hill just because I like it. I'm probably in a herds territory!" She flicked her ears as if making a point, listening for the beat of hooves, the knickers and whines. One could never be to sure, especially since she didn't know about any of the herds around.
But his, she'd met someone from his herd sometime in the night. "I've met someone from your herd. Zeke. Well, sort of. We talked for a bit, but he seemed... so serious." Crystal let a frown appear on her muzzle remembering their words. He was awkward and had a stiff personality, if he had one at all! But the smile reappeared quickly enough.
"No. I've no problems with herds. I've never been in one, and I really haven't met to many others." She was taught, a while ago, not to judge until you've gotten to known someone. It didn't always hold, like with Zeke, but she tried her hardest. Crystal dipped her head to the grass, sniffing and moving a bit down the hill, roaming. She wanted sweet grass; the kind with small white flowers and clovers in it. When she found a patch, she ate a little bit before looking to him, seeing what he was doing now. "And my name is Crystal." It was nearly an after thought; she'd forgotten he asked, honestly.

Fire Crystal smiles at Crystal as he shrugs, looking at the ground. "Bedding doesn't have to be a forever thing. But from my observations, you do enjoy watching the sun rise yes? why can't you be able to be comfortable and be able to enjoy the sun rising without stiff legs?" His grin became crooked as his eyes returns to hers. "Actually.. you are not in any herds territory, this is one of few neutral territory for all of the horses and animals to use." He nods as he moves aside so Crystal won't feel trapped on top of that herd with him in the way.
Fire Crystal's muzzle twitches at the mention of the leader's son and he watches her intently. "Ah.. Zeke is the leader of the herd's son. I haven't met him but I have heard some things about him." His voice is rich in amusement as he shakes his head. "I just think he is groomed to take over when his father decides to leave or die. Thus his serious personality." He says with a shrug, feeling the need to defend the leader's son, albeit the mild effort to do so.
"That's good at least. About having no problems with herds." Fire Crystal gave Crystal a rakish grin as he watches her began to sniff the ground, he assumes for her favorite kind of grass. He simply moves behind her so she could have more range to graze on if she wanted. "Crystal, a fitting name for a beautiful mare like you." He smiles, not knowing that it could be mistaken as a pick up line. "I find it funny that both of us have 'Crystal' in our names." He chuckles lightly.

It was true, bedding didn't have to be a forever thing, but she didn't want to put too much effort into watching something that only lasted for minutes each day. So, she let that subject drop and tossed her head in laughter, blue eyes twinkling happily.
She was thankful Fire Crystal moved to the side to let her graze, and she did just that for a little bit, finding herself really hungry. It was to be expected, with her scattered brain. So much to do she forgot to eat. After a few moments, she felt bad for not saying anything and turned to look at Fire Crystal again, admiring his colors and then grinned.
"I didn't think being a herd leader would make someone so..... tense and boring. Sure, there would be tons of stress and pressure, but even leaders should have time to unwind and just be with the herd." She moved and bumped up against him before going for his ear. Crystal loved to play. She was like a big foal.
