June was a very strong man, it was because of his strength that he was able to do what he was doing. In his arms was his young son Aikyn, the boy with the centaur build who under normal circumstances would need to walk on his own. The mere fact that the man was able to do this meant the world to the little boy who was snuggled against his chest, seeming to be dozing. Laying on his horse back was the little sprite creature that had come along with him for the ride. The thing didn't seem to much enjoy being on its own so it had thrown a bit of fit when Aikyn and June got ready to go without it.
They were going to have to wait for their turn it would seem from the looks of things there were many people. As such he found somewhere he settled against a nearby wall before allowing himself to slide down it. This way he would be able to sit down, settle Aikyn into his lap with waking him, and they could hang out here while they awaited their turn with the Doctor.

When their turn eventually came, a neat looking woman with a brown braid and small clear glasses poked her head out of the office to call them inside. Apoxi was still her pleasantfaced self, but she looked cute and sweet, and less nutty dressed as a doctor than as a scientist. Her bright eyes were more visible now and she seemed like the gentle sort that'd help any kid feel better.
"Aikyn? all ready for your checkup?"

The pretty, mismatched eyes of the child lifted up to look at the woman for a long moment before his attention turned to his Father. June gave him a reassuring smile before pushing to his feet and helped Aikyn up to all four of his, "Come on, let's go and visit with the doctor so that we can get you looked over." He said in a gentle manner to the boy. The sooner they got the check up over the better, not because June didn't like the woman but because Aikyn was a little skittish around such a large crowd. He could only hope he calmed down when he got into the room where there would be less people.
"He is all ready, aren't you Aikyn?" June said, his voice was able to be surprisingly soothing and gentle for someone of his size and look.
The boy nodded his head, both of his hands clinging to one large hand of his Daddy as he followed him into the examine room.

Apoxi sighed, "I'm afraid Daddy won't be able to stay in here for your checkup, little one. There just isn't enough space." and it was true - the examining room was pretty small, and it looked like with all three of them inside, it would be very hard to move about.
"You might have to wait out in the other room, June. I'm sorry. We don't have much space for checkups with part of the building being renovated."

Aikyn's eyes got rather wide and he started shift on his hooves, the four of them clicking in a rather loud manner as he shifted from side to side. He didn't like the idea that his Daddy wasn't going to be allowed to stay with him...
June gave a smile, stroking his hair then tapped him on the horn, "Behave yourself for the Doctor, Aikyn and then we will head out and find you some apples and maybe a sugar cube."
The boy perked up almost instantly at mention of sugar cubes. He wasn't often allowed to get treats like that since the made him race around on a sugar high. His mismatched eyes turned to looking up at the Doctor and he trotted over to stand in front of her while June left the small room, letting the woman work.

Apoxi smiled, pulling out a stethoscope to show the boy. "See this? I'm going to use it to hear how your heart sounds. Is that okay?" her voice was a tender coo as she held out the cold front to it, letting the little boy feel it with his hands first.
