Earlier today, I was listening to talk radio and for once found myself agreeing with Glenn Beck of all people. He said that "they" (the administration) would use this oil disaster to push the cap and trade bill into law.
It struck me earlier this evening that perhaps the explosion may have been deliberate. Has anyone heard anymore about the cause of the explosion since it happened? All I've seen or heard now is about the cleanup efforts, the economic impact, etc. It's kind of like after 9/11 when everyone rushed through the hows and whys and went straight to the invading...
Maybe I'm just being paranoid. What do you guys think?

Halliburton completed cementing of well 20 hours prior to explosion
-- Halliburton performed a variety of services on the rig, including cementing, and had four employees stationed on the rig at the time of the accident. Halliburton's employees returned to shore safely, due, in part, to the brave rescue efforts by the U.S. Coast Guard and other organizations.
-- Halliburton had completed the cementing of the final production casing string in accordance with the well design approximately 20 hours prior to the incident. The cement slurry design was consistent with that utilized in other similar applications.
-- In accordance with accepted industry practice approved by our customers, tests demonstrating the integrity of the production casing string were completed.
-- At the time of the incident, well operations had not yet reached the point requiring the placement of the final cement plug which would enable the planned temporary abandonment of the well, consistent with normal oilfield practice.

It seems intentional. Another reason to raise gas prices. There was also another oil leak ONshore (up a river in Louisiana I think) around the same time, but I can't find the article >.<; There is also a lot of talk about using a nuclear bomb to fix the oil spill problem, since the Russians have used this method before on natural gas leaks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ojCbqfRRr8There was also conspiracy theories going around about Korea using a torpedo to cause the oil leak. Regardless of all this, I think they're doing a piss poor job keeping it under-control, and acting awfully slow!

Someone called in to Coast to Coast the other night suggesting using a nuclear weapon to seal the leak, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe the delay is part of the plan. If it gets worse then it's more incentive to do whatever they want us to do. Glenn Beck had a good point this morning that the way they get things done is that they force us into this emergency mode where it's all "Hurry up, we have to do something now," so that we don't have time to think something through until after it's made into law.

And I saw on the news this weekend...yet another failed attempt at sealing the leak. hmmm...I haven't even heard ANY talk really about what happened just...cap & trade...on its way. And how to stop it and get it cleaned up.
I can't stand thinking about all that oil spilling out while I'm sleeping...the impact on the ocean creatures/wildlife. Everything is in such a delicate balance.
Yes...this and alot of things going on ring right out of prophecies.
