Sheol: *blinks and looks around*

Hermes: *Watching an empty clearing, not noticing Sheol*

Sheol: *walks about and happens upon Hermes* Hello.

Hermes: *Slides his gaze to Sheol* H-hello

Sheol: How are you? ...Hermes...right?

Hermes: *Nods* I-I am good, y-you?

Sheol: *shrugs* I am well. *looks up at the sky*

Hermes: That's go-good *Nods and follows Sheol's gaze to see what the other male might be looking for*

Sheol: ....*notices the other male following his gaze* ...it looks peaceful up there.

Hermes: *Frowns slightly as that strikes him as an odd thought* Why?

Sheol: The sky is clear. It's just a big mass of...blackness. With a few stars here and there. The wind shakes the trees down here, but up there it all just stays the same. *some wind ruffles his fur*

Hermes: B-but the stars lo-look s-so cold *Tilts his head slightly, fighting back a shiver from the breeze*

Sheol: *tilts his head too* Really? But they are hot. That's why we can see them all the way down here.

Hermes: How do you kn-know that?

Sheol: It's...*thinks* It's just what everyone says I guess... but I imagine...the stars are like the sun, only farther away. But who knows. Everyone could be wrong. *shrugs*

Hermes: *Waits a moment* Or they could be lying.

Sheol: *freezes and thinks this over* ...everyone telling the same lie? That's...genius I guess...*frowns up at the stars*

Hermes: All information comes from one source, and then it spreads as time goes on *Doesn't realize he's dropped his stutter, his voice sounding more firm. And downright cold*

Sheol: How do you know that?

Hermes: *Shrugs* It is just the way things go. In order for information to be known, someone must vocalize it or write it down. Then it must be seen or heard by others, who in turn will tell more people. It all comes down to was the original source telling the truth, or lying?

Sheol: What if there is more than one original source? Everything can't come from the same place. Everyone is different and can make their own decisions about things. Don't things change as they are passed a long? You can't know if what you are hearing is even the same thing as what it was from the original source.

Hermes: *Shrugs, knowing that there is logic in Sheol's argument* The point remains the same though, can you trust the information you hear is truth? *Flicks his tail in an idle manner* The fact that you argue against my word shows you do not trust mine

Sheol: It's not that I don't trust yours. I just like to discuss. Or argue a point. *shrugs too* I guess it doesn't matter if it's true, because we decide for ourselves what's true and what's not.

Hermes: *Raises a brow* So you do trust my word?

Sheol: *thinks* I'm not sure...

Hermes: Would you like a hint? *Scans the clearing, his eyes following a squirrel*

Sheol: A hint? *follows Hermes' eyes to the squirrel and watches also*
