Sometimes being black and white was a pain, for one, you could be seen easier most of the time, it wasn't like being a zebra, being a zebra was great you had stripes and you were invisible to big predators. He wasn't a zebra and had no real desire to be one he was just jealous of their camouflage. Having barely escaped the jaws of a very hungry hyena, the male hare was having a well deserved break, chewing the cud, not unlike a cow, having found a really good patch of clover to just chew and enjoy he was calming his shattered nerves. It was times like this that he wished he was more like his mother. Shaking his head he cast away that particular thought, being crazy wasn't anything like fun. Closing his eyes he lets the world fall away from him, for the moment he wouldn't think of anything, just the nice clover and the afternoon sun on his back.

Mingmei looked back at her den regretfully. When her youngin's were smaller it was all she could do to get away, but now it felt like every day was counting down to the last. Why, some were already gone! Her clear eyes looked down at the ground as she took a deep breath. No use whining about it now; this was mommy time.
She bounded away from her little home to her favorite clover patch and stopped dead. Why that no good, dirty snake! "Hey, hey stop! Spit that out right now you villain!" How dare he. Typical males, thinking that they owned the world. The little female fluffed up her chest fur irritably before closing the distance.

"Pardon?" The male hare opens his eyes, a brow raising as he did so, what was she screeching about? It seemed he could attract crazy women even when he was just relaxing. He just couldn't get a break today!
"I'm not a villain madam, I'm just resting." He states having swallowed the clover he had been chewing, geeze, why was it that the world was out to get him today? "Go away ya crazy broad, I'm just catching my breath I'll be gone before you know it." He huffs closing his eyes once again. Women, were they all nuts?

"Resting in my clover patch." She motioned to the vegetation with the other paw on her hip. Honestly, where were the manners today? And what was she getting so huffy about? Did it disturb her that much to see another unrelated male?
"Go away?" Oooooh, bad choice of words. "You go away, jerk. What am I supposed to feed my kits with later? Oh, whatever, forget it." Mingmei turned her back to him and nabbed a bite. What was the use? She was too small to be threatening and she didn't have her lioness friend to back her up, so she sat resolutely, chewing and glaring at the same time.

Kuukeni raises a brow and chuckles a little, he didn't want to be offensive, but she was so funny, a little ball of angry fluff. "I apologise lady, I didn't know this belonged to anyone. I'v never known a piece of green to belong to anyone before. Usually green stuff belongs to everyone."
He raises a curious brow at the female hare. "Theres plenty for your kits, I hardly ate any." he huffs, considering standing up and leaving, his nerves had been stretched far enough today.

Her nose scrunched up at his laugh, but the sound smoothed out the angry lines around her mouth. Mingmei hurriedly choked down the rest of her greens, then raised her paw hesitantly, her cheeks slightly flushed. "I-I'm sorry. I acted rashly.....You can stay, if you want. Have as much as you want. I'll share."
She wouldn't relinquish her claim on the spot unless her life depended on it, but sharing wouldn't be so bad. Exspecially if she had company. .....That disturbed her. Was she really that desperate to bribe strangers to stay for a chat?

The monotone male shakes his head lightly "Don't worry about it." He smiles looking around curiously for a moment. "So, where are your kits?" He questions, raising a brow at the small female, she was pretty, short tempered but pretty, he couldn't help but admire her, it was hard to be a single mother, he knew his own mother had struggled.
" I really didn't mean to intrude on you. I just needed a rest, had a bit of a fright just now. Nearly lost my skin." he scoffs shaking his head, like she would care? She was far more interested in her little patch of green and these, invisible babies to take a moment to listen to another's troubles.

She smiled sadly, twirling her clover between her paws. "Off and gone, young adults, you know. I had four and only one still stays with me, but I know she'll be leaving soon." Already Parisa had been speaking of joining a pride with a lioness she'd met with, which didn't bother Mingmei. So long as her kits were taken care of she was happy.....right?
Mingmei's eyebrows shot up and in a concerned fashion she laid her paw on his shoulder, looking up at him. "Are you alright? What happened?" How terrible! She scanned him for injuries, but didn't see any, at least, at the moment.

Her kits were all grown and gone? He felt almost sorry for the female, she was obviously devoted to her babies and they had up and flown the nest so to speak.
"Yeah a hyena nearly took my tail off. My own fault really I wasn't watching where I was going." He sighs heavily shaking his duel toned head. "Thank you, for your kind words. I really should be going, I honestly didn't mean to trespass." he smiles, a charming little smile realizing sort of suddenly how pretty this girl was now she was being sympathetic instead of angry at him.

Mingmei rolled her eyes and tried to scoff, but she couldn't help smiling. "You really should. One day it's going to come clean off, and then what would you do?"
She turned away from him to pick a big clover, handing it over like a peace offering. "It's alright, honest. Here, take this and be careful on your way home. And...if you should want more, you know where to come."
