Log between Chi Sohma and Summer Rain 07

Bugie's mission this time was different than just bringing back females. This time it was to kill off a lion of a pride.. not just a lion. But a lion of high regard.. someone wanted him gone.. Any other cheetah would have high tailed at such a request but Bugie did not. As a fighter currency and the respect he had to hold for his cheetah family. The leopard quickly went in to it.. head first and it wasn't until he had the first strike is when dark bugie came out. The lion was old.. probably defenseless but this bugie was uncaring. Dark.. Taking down the old defenseless lion in the night as he layed to look at the stars..Ravishing his pale white teeth in to the flesh and taring him apart.. Without a sense of wrong in it.. A mission was a mission.. After that mission.. before leaving back.. he saw someone in the distance.. as he disappeared within the dark night sky.. Traveling at speeds unknown to the leopard kind til he had to stop.. His body huffing as he bore the paw of his enemy tied around his neck.. still fresh and bloody..

Masizi couldn't sleep. There was something about this night that was so inviting. He couldn't ignore the call. This he probably got from his father. The inability to ignore something like that. Any call he was drawn to. Be it the stars, the wind, or another feline. (he didn't care too much for canines) Still, he couldn't quite place a paw on what it was. The cool night air, the breeze that whistled through the grass, or the clear night sky. Either way, it was begging him to come out to greet it. So he did, and in the only way he could think. He started to sing.

It started out as only a hum. The hybrid closed his eyes and a smile came to his lips as a gust of wind blew through his short mane. Pretty soon, he was singing one of the songs his mother had taught him as a child.

The grunting leopard growled.. and let loose his muscles just a tad before yawning.. His body was so tight..now it was loosing just a bit.. Shaking his head as the paw swong side to side. Dropping the blood he moved. Extending his head out and his neck giving a rest of its normal slumped position. Until he heard something.. Ears propping as he quickly became tense and started to lower himself. Someone was near and he couldn't help but be curious. Other times he would be tossing himself back home now.. but this time.. after the rush of blood. A friendly sound.. that made him slink in to the shadows of night to bring about a cloak of invisiablity. Until ...he found him. Slinking in to the bushes.. watching.. as his ears were full of the sound it made

The cheeton continued to sing. He started to get louder and louder as he progressed in the song. Not realizing anyone else was here, he showed no hesitation. Normally he'd be shy to sing in front of someone, or sing with a bit of modesty. But tonight it was just him and the open sky (or so he thought)

Slipping through the trees and in to the bushes... He was now at least a couple of feet away from him.. His ears opening to absorb the male. The song. He crouched there.. letting his belly touch the smooth grass.. It sounded excellent.. for a male. The scent was unmarking.. but how did another not smell the blood near? So it was merely a singer? Nyoka would be happy if he brought such a speciman home. Along with the paw of the Dead leader. A smirk crossed his dark face as the night sky played many stars in to song.. Whoever this weird creature was... he wasn't that excellent of a hunter then. Watching.. and examining him... a .. lion? But.. he leaned forward just a little.. it looked.. smaller. Thinner..

Masizi stopped his song, his ears caught the rustling sound of the leopard, though slight it may be, but he dare not look back. Whoever this stranger was, he didn't seem too keen on the cheeton knowing he was there.

Just a bit longer, he thought as he started to pick up where he left off. He'd wait to see if whoever was in the bushes would make himself known. If nothing happened, he'd have to decide weather to run or not.

He wanted to know what this creature was.. and it was.. or what looked to be a lion. Something to laugh at in the pride. Maybe.. it was something different.. similar to a lion. But with a voice like that~ an entertainer would be baffled as well as he. He waited at least til he felt like the end of the song was near~ He slowly crept closer.. almost to no sound.. until his tail touched a leaf and made him HAVE to stand up.. and walk with his head high out of the bushes..Those bright green eyes.. with hints of red came out.Looking buff and strong..

At the sudden movement, the cheeton jumped, and spun around, crouching low, tail between his legs. He wasn't a fighter at all.
When he saw the dark male walk so calmly out of the bushes, he relaxed a little, standing a little more straighter. Until he saw the bloody paw around his neck...

"Ah, I'm sorry sir," He said, not jumping to any conclusions, "I wasn't aware there was anyone else around.
"

He tossed his head aside and looked at him straightly direct. "Its alright..." Then looked at him- face to face. "What are you... thing that sings like birds. You like that of a lion~ but you are smaller and thinner. Truly one that can not be built for his own hunt." He voice was strong.. and his tune was even stronger and darker..

This was true. But he was also flattered by the complement. But it was strange that he did not introduce himself before asking questions.

"I'm a cheeton." He said as he sat in the grass. "My mother was a cheetah, and my father, a lion." he said as he shook his head, trying to get rid of the uneasy feeling around him. "And you?"

Tilting his head and watching and examining each detail.. Before the words became full proof conclusions. He took a step back and shook his head. "A cheetah and a lion? What non sense do you spout." Taken back by it as he rose his head high. "Pure cheetah." Or so he knew... and grew up knowing this to be so. "Rare indeed to see one of your kind. What is your name. Cheeton..thing."

He looked at him strangly, "No non sense at all." He said a little confused. Was it not normal for a cheetah and lion to mate? Was he.... not normal? "My name is Masizi." He said, watching the cheetah. He didn't like how this was going.

"And I..Hasira'Roho... Masizi.. Do you sing like birds often?" He started to walk.. slowly.. encircling Masizi.. Looking for spots in which left openings.. The many answers he will obtain will be that to determine what this cheetah would do next. Well leopard. But a cheetah is what he knew he was. heightening his neck to appear larger.. slicker.. but his muscles relaxed every so slightly making him feel light weight and ready for an attack if needed. "What other talents does a cheeton have.. Are there more like you? that I have not seen."

He nodded. "I do." He said as he smiled lightly, "I try to sing every day. My mother taught me." He said as he puffed out his chest in pride. He did love his mother, and missed her so. "I.. can't think of any other that I have." He said as he looked up to the sky in thought. "My sisters can dance, and my brothers tell stories." He looked back to the 'cheetah'. "I'm not sure. I haven't seen any in the area." He said as he looked around to see if there was any others around.

He stopped.. and a grin passed his lips. "I see... and your .. brothers and sisters? A mother and father~ But you are alone cheeton...Where have they gone to?" He stood there.. Expanding his body long ways.. Showing the bulk of his body.. but it seemed to look slender when he extended his body out a bit. His ears twitching a bit.. Ready to defend himself in case this one was not alone. But.. inside. He knew he could take them all on. "Such a talented family of sorts..."

His ears fell back against his head. Now he really wasn't liking how this was going. He watched him with cautious eyes, "I... I lost them one day when we were traveling..." He said with hesitation. He tried to look for an out, but the other male seemed to be ready for anything.

"I see..." Though true.. the male started to tense up.. Bugie's split personality just stared at him.. ready to pounce at any moment.. A prize that he would get praised for bringing.. an entertainer. Or so he thought. "Sing for me..~" He said.. in a coaxing- smooth yet bittersweet way. "Such talent~ and I have stopped you.. how rude of me."

"Oh no." He said, chuckling a little, "I had just finished when you came along, there is no need to feel rude." He said as the orange fur on his back started to stand on end. He wasn't liking this one bit, and wasn't about to leave himself more vulnerable by singing.

"Thats sad... the one whom sings of birds... does not want to sing for a broken cheetah liek myself.." He took a step forward and his body went right after him. Again.. slowly encircling.. "I shall have to hear you again sometimes. Will you honor me? My family would love to hear it as well. It will lift there spirits." Dripping.. dripping. The blood trickling down.. hanging.. it was drying out just a tad but it still dripped as he moved.. His tail flinging around. "Can't you honor me~~~~" He looked down and slowly moved.. and took his time while examing the steps the other took that were very very slim.. and the tensing of his muscles.. and the minor movements.. He kept himself light though.. so he could dash after if the other chose to run. He wouldn't lose this one.. he wasn't acustom to losing anyhow.

He was never one to deny a request. "A...as you wish." He nodded, a little hesitant. He didn't want to sing something that would offend him, "What would you like to hear?" Though he wasn't an very good fighter, he could read movements. And the way he was circling him, like a buzzard, made him feel like he was already dead meat.

He sighed. "I don't know of any songs. But of the birds that sing in the day~ and the ones that give warnings. You would know that though.. right?" He smirked.

"Uh..." He looked around. That was his reason to flee. "I'm afraid I don't..." he said as he shifted his weight lightly, "But I'm sure one of my brothers know of..." He said as he began to flee. Catch him off guard by speaking, then leaving in the middle of his sentence. Seemed clever enough, at the time..

As angered spirit knew. He fled. And thats when the real fun began as he threw his weight in to his legs and became almost just as fast as a cheetah. Except a lil less since he was still a leopard. He ran for it.. right after the hybird.. His lion side was his down fall for sure. Big and dumb. Huffing as he exerted energy left and right. And thats where he excelled in his sprinting. Taking with his legs.. In a very vulerable position but he took swipes at the other's back legs when they extended behind him in the run.. Taking a few swipes before he got one and latched on with a pulled hard upon it. Snarling and didn't take a secon'd notice before he leaped on the hip area and pulled him down with all his force and strength within the momentum could allow him.

Masizi ran as fast as he could, letting his spring like back legs propel him forward. his problem was his lion side. He may seem thin enough, but his legs were shorter than a pre breed cheetah. He lacked the grace to outrun such an opponent.

He felt the other behind him. Closing in. He was already starting to run out of energy. He wasn't made to sprint like this for long distances, and already his vision started to blur.

He felt the leopards claws dig into his hind quarters. It was too late. He was caught. As his legs and back were pulled under him, his head slammed into the ground, causing him to black out. He could only hope it would be a painless death.

During the phase of pulling.. He heard the less than fatal thump.. He wans't one to under estimate.. so when they came to a stop.. he had already made it on top of the hybird and on to the neck. The best place to hold one down.. But even that. The hybrid did not stir.. A grin surfaced as he huffed.. and sucked in the scent of the other through his mouth full of the fur.. huffing and tossed the body a bit. While it only moved just a bit. He dropped the fur head had and nudged the back of his head. Not dead.. he heard faint breathing so slowly he creeped from above him to only slip under him. Nudging away until he was right there.. Then lifted with his strength to help drag the singing hybrid.

With each step showed his strength though no one was looking.. This angered spirit within him was pure strength.. and not the kind bugie at all.. As he walked the many miles home.. With a prize larger than he would think in the future.
