Huwa woke up early, something that was quite unusual for the young cub she tended to enjoy her sleep more than the average soul did. Strecthing the little tan line made her way around her siblings and out of the den she shared with her family. Once outside she looked around wondering what she could do, preferably nothing that required that much energy, she had just woken up and already felt like she had none. The little cub made her way slowly to the watering hole in the pride. There was only a few places that young cubs could go on their own in the pride and Huwa really didn't have any urges to venture outside of them, it would mean effort and the risk of a lecture.
Even if they were going alone, they never turly were alone, were they? There was always someone watching... Though, this particular lion was not on cubsitting duty. In fact, he never paid much mind to the cubs unless he absolutely had to. He was a hunter, plain and siumple. He provided the food to keep both cub and adult alive and healthy with the others of his profession and he was quite proud of that work. A day off was rare for Sa'a'hayet, better known jokingly as 'Sa', a name which he was NOT fond of. The dull-colored lion lowered himself down to the watering hole, ignoing the fact some of it soaked into the darker grays of his mane as he began drinking his fill, lavender eyes slipping shut contently. He was happy to spend his day off in the blissful, depressing silence.... The silence that had once been filled with the annoying, unending chatted of Hathor... No.. Nothing should take the place of his most precious one's noise...
Huwa lifted her eyes when she heard someone else come up to the edge of watering hole. She turned and looked towards the other creature. She paused and waited for sometime, wondering if she should spend the time and energy to say helo. Sighing Huwa lifted her little paws and made her way towards the adult male that was a little to the side of her, she had nothing better to do, and maybe this adult would have a more effiecent way of being lazy then she already knew. "Hello" she greeted him in a slow low voice.
Sharp lavender eyes flicked down to the small shild in curiosity, peering down to her in a long moment of silence, before his head backed to the side, sending a few stray grey locks to covers his eyes. " And what, My Little Lady, May I assist you with? " He asked her easily after a moment. The words thenmselves they were seemingly kind. VBut the tone behind them... It was cold, and boredering on beind dead. Sa couldn't do much to hide that tone of his any longer. He used to be good at it but his masks had fallen further and further away since his sister's deaher.
Huwa studied the lion for a miunte, he had said kind words but she felt there was something lacking the emotion behind them. She was sad that he didn't seem happier, Huwa didn't put much energy behind what she did and said, but yet she tended to expect others to. "I don't think I need anyhelp." Huwa said in her slow calm voice. "Well I suppose you could tell me your name." she said a small smirk on her face, names were always good to have, that way she could ask others about him.

A slight click of his tongue as he tutted the child's rudeness. Manners seemed to be lost on children in this day and age... Not that adults were any better. It had to be their upbringing. Not even his own mother had bothered with the fine art of teaching manners, and nobility. Luckily he had taken that task upon himself. He could just walk away... Which he did consider a long moment, but, slowly he sat back on his haunches, facing the cub. He would not reply to her rudeness in kind. " If you wish to ask for another's name, you should offer up your own first, My Little Lady. If you wish my name, ask again with proper manners. Only then shall I give you it. "
Huwayda frowned a little, she didn't like being told off, it wasn't something her father didn't often give her and trouble, he was too laid back to do such things. She paused for a minute "I am Huwayda, it is nice to meet you." she said in the most polite voice she could muster up hoping that the older lion would find this acceptable... it wasn't that she meant to be rude, it just took more energy to be polite. The small cub roze to her feet and looked around, smiling lightly. "I would like it very much if I knew what you would like to be called." she cocked her head to the side.
" Huwayda... It is a pleasure to meet you little lady. You may call me Sa'a'hayet. " Pulling one paw up to his chest, and bending his other leg, he gave her a rather graceful bow before straightening back up, brushing the man from his eyes. " I am an Astronomer of the pride. A form of scribe. If you should find need of such a person, or interest in the stars, I am the one to seek... " He said in a dull tone. Though there was a certain light in his eyes when he spoke of the stars. Atleast the sky could never abandon him...
"Sa'a'hayet" she said stumbling somewhat over her words it was a difficult name for the young cub to say but she managed to spit it out alright. "Well it is very nice to meet you." the cub tried to be as graceful as possible when she returned his bow.
"An Astonomer you say. I have never met an Astronomer before. My father is a teacher, my other father a Hunter. And my mother a Nanny I think I will be an Nanny when I am old enough." she said nodding as she spoke.

" You don't say.. " He murmured out as he listened politely to the cub's ramble. But it wasn't long before he cast his eyes to the sky to check the position of the sun. Slowly turning his eyes back to her, he again gave her a graceful bow. " Do forgive me, little lady. But I've not the time to make idle chatter all day. As interesting as it was to meet you, I must be returning to my duties. "
Turning, he stepped easily away from her taking a few long strides before he paused, slowly looking back. " I've no doubt we shall meet again, Huwayda. I spend my nights on the rises behind the temple. You may seek me out there when you are old enough to be out by yourself at night... "
With that he was quick to turn back away and move on from the cub, into the cool shade of the temple where he could get a bit of rest before nightfall.
